    My goodness! What an audacious escort to the plane.
    I’ve never heard of a HM walking out casually and assessing people.
    I do recall the incident where 3 HM walked by the women crouched down but they were very aggressive.
    To take away Todd’s passion of beach-combing is heartbreaking.
    Thank you Todd and Alicia for sharing your encounter.
    It must have been difficult for you to come forward but you’re in a safe place.
    Thank you Fred for you relaying these encounters and alerting your fellow Alaskans to the serious dangers that are lurking in your beautiful yet unforgiving state.

    I have seen a couple of kush da ka on prince of Wales island. The one that i could clearly see was standing in the grass next to inlet creek on klawock lake. We were doing a sockeye prediction study for the tribe, and the kush da ka was checking our fish traps . We didn't check those traps that day. The next day i brought my 45/70 and my 10mm pistol. I had my coworker take my picture were the kush da ka was standing. The grass was a foot taller than me. I'm 5'8" . In the photo the kush da ka s waist was even with the grass. What impressed me was that the kush da ka was tall and graceful. The way it moved wasn't rushed but it covered ground quickly. Tlinget legend says that they are shape-shifters. But back in 2001 a friend and I saw one clibe a tree in order to get away from us. Back then we new it big , but we didn't have anything to compare it to except 100 foot tall trees. So when my coworker and i went to to the last place we had seen it , i looked up . There were several broken branches in the tree were it disappeared. I was surprised by how fast it could climb , for being so big. If you see a kush da ka, go to were you last seen itand look up.

    • @coniac420
      @coniac420 Місяць тому

      @@subarcticalaskasasquatch The experience sounds pretty traumatizing and nobody likes thinking about bad memories especially when most people ridicule or don't believe the person, I imagine that as a result, the subject stays in the realm of the unknown and gives it that much more ability to be traumatizing to the unsuspecting. Then again, I don't know how a ten-foot-tall, wild, hairy, creature with ridiculous physical abilities that has our appearance but is far from like us and outclasses us in almost every way is not the stuff of nightmares, lol. I think because of people like you and others giving it a platform to be heard and not pushing your own narrative like they do on those television shows, it gives people a safe place to get it off their chest, and that can be a huge relief. But it also helps with the general acceptance of its reality by the sheer number of encounters and shows this creature for what it is and informs people of its behaviors. Something good will come of that too someday.
