    I had to run to the store to get a bigger pair of pliers for the wire closure, but otherwise I had mine fixed in probably 5-10 minutes. This was hours ago but I made sure to come back to say thank you very much for a great video on this issue, because it helped me a lot and the last time this happened I paid $300 to have it fixed. Now I fixed it myself for $12 since I didnt have good pliers to put the hose back on lol

    Thank you so much, was able to fix within 30mins. It was a sock in the hose lol, what i will say is deff don’t underestimate how much waters in the drum (have extra 🪣’s prior to opening the hose).

      It’s crazy how much is in the drum even if you get all of it out that is visible.
      There’s still gallons more!
      Glad it worked out for you.

    Want to chime in to say you saved the day for me just now, didn’t have a shop vac, so I had to hand-scoop out the water with buckets and pitchers, but this was exactly what I needed to do. Thanks!🙏🏾

    Thanks buddy. I thought my pump was shot cause it was making a loud grinding sound and not draining. Turns out it was a piece of clothing caught in the pump propeller. Appreciate it 👍

    Thank you so much for the video. I was having the exact same problem, and I was able to fix it thanks to your share. Quick question: how do you put the front panel back?

      Make sure all your tabs are lined up and not bent because sometimes that prevents it from going in straight. Then I use some sort of pry tool to push it up into where it goes at the top and then put the screws in while I hold the prybar up.
      Hope that makes sense.

    Did this. Everything went well. Removed what was clogged, drained the water. But now, the washer won't start. All I get are 3 beeps a few times and then nothing. I tried resetting it by cutting the power to the unit (it made a different faster couple of beeps once), but still no start. Any advice?

      Some drums have a water filled ring on the top for balance

    I have had this issues a few times, most recently with a mens t-shirt. Do you think something could cause this other than filling the machine too full?

    • @timetested
      @timetested  Рік тому

      I’m not honestly too sure. I’d guess maybe water level?

  • @jim85308

    ours is drained enough that it is not in the drum, but you can still hear it sloshing around. i just thought it was a bad design (for years embarrassingly), when we go on vacation, you can smell janky water, and we need to run it first to get out the gunk that forms on stagnant water. i'm going to try your fix, but i fear there is something in the drum that maybe only partially clogs it, do you have advice for removing the inner barrel so we can check and clean it?

    • @jim85308
      @jim85308 2 роки тому

      mine must also be a bit different model. the pump is to the rear of the unit and looks like the inlet is directly attached to the drum. it was a bit unlevel and that did not do the trick. i keep thinking whatever senses the drum as being empty is not working correctly.

      Few months late to the party but I can offer some advice on this. If your Laundry Center (combo) model # FFLE1011MW2, then to remove the inner tub you will need to remove the One bolt holding the inner tub to the Trunnion and main shaft before you remove the 5 bolt holding down the wash plate and the inner tub (have to use some trickery to hold the inner tub from rotating while unbolting the main bolt). Technically, removing the 5 bolts without removing the main bolt attached to the Trunnion and the main shaft should be all needed. But in my case it pulling up on the inner tub did not come up as I found the Trunnion was practically glued to the bottom of the inner tub. So I had to remove the main bolt and both the Trunnion and inner tub pulled up.
      Also, the sloshing you may be hearing is coming from the counter balance ring that is filled with salt water that sits on top of the inner tub. Mine did not have any screws or anything holding it down so it is possible in your case may have come loose especially during hard agitation or spin cycles.
      Additionally, you can try pouring Clorox directly in the inner, will help clean some and kill bad odor bacteria. Also, you can look between the inner and outer tub using your phone camera or a telescope type of camera to see if there is anything sits there then you can fish it out.
      However, most of the rancid smell comes from an old pump, I would replace. Easy diy and costs $30 from amazon (genuine part).
      Do not hesitate to ask questions on this thread as I have spent lots of time fixing this specific model so I gained lots of insights. Plus I managed to get a hold of a factory parts catalog that has very much all the parts listed with blow up views of location and most importantly the electrical schematics/wiring.
