Another great video and comparison. Well done. Was definitely a little surprised by the turning radius but on my new 2023 Defender Limited Max and have not noticed it as being a hindrance.

Great video comparison. Question for you on the can am 2023 (I recently bought one and your videos were a big reason). The switch for 4wd, does yours light up in the 4wd position? Mine only lights in 2wd, not sure if the switch light is out. The machine engages though, so I think it’s just the light.

I’ve owned both a ranger Northstar and still have a defender xmr. The reason the Polaris locks and slips the rear wheel is the 4x4 system. The can am is actually in 4x4 going downhill and the Polaris is not. Polaris 4x4 system doesn’t engage the 4x4 system until there is wheel slippage with the throttle pressed down. The can am actually locks the front diff in utilizing the engine break and is much safer downhill. I still have my Can Am xmr and the Polaris is someone else’s headache.
Thanks for the video, super informative in real word circumstances! I’m considering a north star ultimate vs commander limited. One question, if you know the answer: does the can am come with factory sound system? And bottom line, which machine would you lean towards?
As far as general maintenance, are they both about equip on levels of difficulty? Ex; oil changes, air filters, belts, etc

you get arch the arms on the Polaris boss handle on the hunter edition? Can-Am put the ride command on theirs.
I wonder if the front driveshafts can't handle much angle without failure so Can Am reduced steering angle to prevent driveshaft failure when they added forward designed A arms for bigger tire clearance on 2023's? Ostacruiser? lost both stock front driveshafts after upgrading front suspension for bigger tires on his 2020 Defender 6x6 build and bought heavier duty aftermarket driveshafts to beef it up. Maybe on 2023's Limited the stops could be adjusted for sharper steering angle if heavy duty aftermarket driveshafts are installed???? Just a thought. I have a 2023 Defender 6x6 Limited on order right now!!! Your video has me salivating. Thank you

Has your dealer said anything about changes on the Lone Star for 2024? I’m hoping they put a touch screen in the dash and go to black seats instead of the two tone
2024 limited has smart lock. Test one for the viewers. I’m looking at the 3 seat. I’m wondering about ride quality and the function of the heat and AC.
I had a 2022 defender max limited and now own a 2023 polaris trail boss Northstar crew, I must say both machines ride and handle great, but so far I honestly prefer the trail boss over the defender.
