I'm ordering a 2024 Defender 6x6 limited in two weeks. I was going to order the XT but when the info came out on the new Limited I decided to upgrade my order. The Smartlok front locker addition was the game changer for me. This is a great video. There are very few like this. I've watched this one several times.
Beavers are stunning indeed. A natural perfection how good are they adjusted to the Nature. I'm checking out one location every couple days where one beaver family lives. They are almost used to me and it doesn't bother them anymore for me being next to their pond. They come out and do beaver busines like i'm not even there. Great video,Dave,i'm always enjoying watching these.
That Defender never ceases to amaze me. You look at it and think it is going to be difficult to maneuver in some areas and not real "good" at the stuff you think it isn't designed for. The darn thing is about unstoppable, and you two don't baby it at all. Can't help but wonder what you could do with one if a guy got a little silly with the suspension, etc. David please let us know what your water temps do this summer when you get the truck pulling with the Fleece Bypass. My truck is an 07 3500 long bed dually 4x4, 5.9 and 6 speed manual. I pull a big toyhauler and when we put the kit on I changed out the thermostat on the engine as well, it runs about 15-20 degrees cooler pulling some serious grades.. As soon as I saw your #6 cylinder it reminded me of my nephews truck, 12k on a factory remain, he tows heavy...looked just like yours. That is why I jumped in and suggested it... A Cummins distributor told a family member that they recommend them for anyone who tows. They forgot to tell him, results...like yours.
I’d forgot that the S-3 guys didn’t make it to the cabin. They’d loved to have made that trip. And I bet after Mrs Ousta fell into that hole she felt it the next day, because that looked like a hard jolt Great video y’all. Keep it upright and the roof towards the sun
I can't believe you filmed this on May 7th and had the video posted the following day? Like WTF buddy; you're amazing! LOL! We went for a ride on that same day (close to your place) and I'm still loading all the footage into the editor - HAHAHA!!! I suppose I'd be a lot quicker if I didn't leave my camera running all day - LOL. 30:10 - those Whiskey Jacks are so smart! Beautiful birds! That's a beauty spot for a shelter (and a beauty shelter). Glad you guys made it in. Thanx for sharin'!
I run a custom barbwire and acreage rail fencing company in Saskatchewan. I run a defender pro xt the thing is awesome I ride trails all day but I’m pulling a post pounder and running barbwire. Hopefully I’ll stop the pounder for a weekend and find a atv trail for it. Thanks for all the content good job
Awesome! That was the first video of y'all's I ever saw. Been hooked ever since, I'm an avid hunter, I'm in China Grove Texas. No moose around here, hunted just about everything thing else. Elk is probably my favorite, hopefully before I'm too old I'd like to try a moose hunt. Looks like a great adventure! Keep the videos coming, blessings from Texas!
The whole crew should head back there maybe with sherp for a improve trail maybe build a new bridge with campout bet club would helpout with costs with community
It is freaking BEAUTIFUL out there!! That lake looks massive! What lake is it? And. How long did the trip out to there take? 2-3hrs? Longer? I’m starting to really like that Defender. Those 6x6’s are little tanks! Glad you had such a great day out there. Looked like fun.
Yes they are right out of the catalog, available at any Can am dealer. They work very well. I had my arm out the window most of the day and never got wet
Very nice. I am looking forward to getting out next week . Is there much engine noise in the cab of the defender? I have a 2017 commander and have to use earplugs. I need to convince the finance minister in my household that the defender is more comfortable . 😏
Man I wish I had a buddy like you here in Montana, fellow 6x6er. Just had another UA-camr who said he was going to do some snow wheeling with me completely flake out. Wasted half of yesterday and all of today on his BS. He even has a smaller channel too and was happy to throw out his name to try to grow his channel as well. Our 6x6s almost look identical at this point, too. Although I don’t think I’ll be upgrading to 32s with bead locks any time soon! Did you get rid of that visco lock in the front? That will be my next mod.
Ah that sucks. Nothing worse then getting excited for a ride and have people back out last minute. Still rocking the stock visco. A smart-lok upgrade would be awesome for sure
I have the hd10 limited. And I live in New Mexico. It's registered and tagged. I can't imagine wearing helmets in my truck or car. Maybe it's like wearing a mask. It just feels safer?

Really happy to see these longer videos David, the short ones are always such a tease.
Thanks!!! Glad you like them

They are unreal little workers. No animal on earth accomplishes what they do. Thanks buddy
Mrs. Osta rocking the Full Send hat.
I always see Osta in the comments of other youtubers.
Just all around supportive people, love you guys!
Thanks man!! Mrs. Osta says thank you as well
"The Cabin In The Woods (Extended Ostacruiser Edition)" - 11/10 would watch that movie! 😂😁😇

Thanks dude!!!
I like all directions of the camera, front and back. And the back wheel running through the water is very cool I like it always healthy
Holly so there is a cabin at the end of the trail ... truly looked like a nice peaceful ride cheers stay safe guys and gals
David you're NUCKING FUTS getting out on that lake!
Haha she was solid!!
Love these type of trail rides!

Definitely! Thanks for the comment
Perfect area for these things! Great video, thank you
Just love seeing Deep six in action going through the skeg and water crossings.
Blackwaters on the 6x6 Osta!
Great ride. I'm always amazed at how awesome of an area you have.
We are very lucky for sure

Heck ya! Was only up til 3am editing😅😅 Thanks dude. Catch you out on the trails one of these days for sure
Playing in watery mud, never speed up the gas, the gas is slow, I don't hurt the water in the mud ❤
Nice run! Real sweet! Always a great channel to watch!
Thank you so much
Looks like the big Dually is back doing good 👍💪🏻
Really missed her lol
Would yeah just look at that. Count me in for a ride dudes!
Can't wait
Nice little tiny home awesome location it would be sweet to live there except going back and forth you need a sherp
Amazing how much colder it is there than here in Alberta
God I can't wait for skeg season !
This awesome that you take the dog
Poor Shadow is getting old but he loves to go on adventures

They are great machines for sure
That cabin is sweet! Kyle and I just visited the Nisbit cabin. It's nice to see it being fixed up.
And the full cabin on Deepsixx is amazing haha.
That looked like a heck of a fun ride!!!! Well maybe not the bridge...lol.
Haha ya for sure. Thank you
@@ostacruiser your wife's commentary is always a hoot!!!! Lmao
Hell of a ride.
Love that adventure
Looks like a nice Weekend drive. 🤙🏼 awesome stuff dude.
‼️‼️What a beautiful video ‼️‼️
Really enjoyed your adventure
🙏❤️ love Scotland ❤️🙏
Wish i could've experienced that massive Sask glacier lolololol Looked like a great day !
Haha it was a fun day
Good trip 👍
Looks like you guys came out with a good load of garbage. 👍 What a beauty shack👌 Fun times for sure.
So easy with a big bed to haul stuff
We tried a cabin trip two weeks ago but way to much snow in Alberta. Maybe not now with all the rain.
Awesome video yeeyee
Sweet ride you guys had. I want to experience the spot where everyone swamped lol.
Haha seen one or two machines drown there
Have you tried disconnecting the sway bars for the slower speed rides? Seems to help keep you more level on the sketchy stuff
Impressive, but I think I would like an Argo under those conditions
That bridge would've been scetchy as hell in a fully enclosed cab haha
I love the 6x6 but the Polaris? Was very impressive
When are you guys set for another moose hunt?! One of your best videos EVER! Blessings from China Grove Texas, be safe and have fun!
Yes sir. This October we will have a few more people and machines joining the hunt. Can't wait
Awesome! That was the first video of y'all's I ever saw. Been hooked ever since, I'm an avid hunter, I'm in China Grove Texas. No moose around here, hunted just about everything thing else. Need to carry a staff with you to measure how deep instead of trying to find bottom with boot
Haha yes. Great idea
He sends Mrs Osta in to check the depth first.
Bring the big bear back! 😂
That was fun waching, great review 😊👌😃
This was nice 👌
Thank you
Love these kinds of videos
Awesome trip. Is it still called a bridge if it is a foot under water? Lol that was hilarious with Mrs Osta clinging to the roof on that crossing!
Haha good point
Still loving the 6x6.
Think it will make it back though there when everything thaws out?
Might be some winching involved.
Haha it will be a gong show. Can't wait to try it
My toxic trait is wanting literally every kind of machine I see in these vids lol.
Is a cabin out there son that look like a blast that was one nice cabin too
The whole crew should head back there maybe with sherp for a improve trail maybe build a new bridge with campout bet club would helpout with costs with community
Awesome idea
Do you guys not head out to that warm up shack in the winter on the sleds? Looks like a great place to break for bbq lunch.
Now that I think of it, I guess your sled isn't much of a trail machine. LOL
We hit the trails from time to time. That is definitely a kick ass shack to stop at
Great video yall 💯👌
Thanks buddy!!
Who cuts all the timber for the go-around paths?
And who pays for that project? Looks like quite a bit of work!
It's always natural gas companies where we live.
Government and private funding
The Polaris general rules. 👍
Way back there and they have social distancing signs on the cabin. I cant be the only one to spot that and scratch there head lol.
It was crazy times lol
Hey there is a bundle of fence posts there lol
Love these videos.
That looks nice. Its 98 dungrees by 9 am here in roswell nm. The sun feels like freakin lazer beams.😂
Oh wow haha

This is Candle Lake. Pretty decent size lake. The trip took about 5 hours
Any chance you remember where you got the fender flares for the 6x6?
Yes they are right out of the catalog, available at any Can am dealer. They work very well. I had my arm out the window most of the day and never got wet
Have you tried Alaska Bush Tracks on your 6x6 canam
loks fun
I’d pick another cabin! 😅
Corduroy road cabin.
Very nice. I am looking forward to getting out next week . Is there much engine noise in the cab of the defender? I have a 2017 commander and have to use earplugs. I need to convince the finance minister in my household that the defender is more comfortable . 😏
I have a 21 defender xmr- very quiet
They did an excellent job with noise and heat management on the new Commanders and Defenders.
@@donaldphillips3786 thanks .
@@ostacruiser nice. Thanks.
There had to be a fairly good road system to bring the materials to build the cabin.
They bring in materials in the winter when everything is frozen solid
With snow on the ground it must be really cold with water coming into the cabin of the SXS 🥶
Canadian 💪 haha
Yes haha, the water was brisk

Wish I could subscribe again. LoL
What is the rainbow heart sticker in front of the warm winch sticker for?
Certain members of our riding group think it's funny to add those little beauties on the machines😅😅
That “sketchy” bridge didn’t seem so bad…
Yes. It worked out really well. Of it tipped to one side or the other we would have been in trouble lol
Are you running 30" or 32"?
32"s
Was that a social distancing sign at the cabin in the middle of nowhere? 😅
Yes they had ridiculous rules to follow to be able to open the warm up shacks to the public. So crazy haha don't get me started😅😅
@@ostacruiserdoes the 6x6 make a big difference?
@@j_rainsgoat3929 It does so well!
What make model size on wheels, please?
31:58 Is that a pride sticker on the 6X6??
It looked like it
Yes some fellow riders think it's funny to paste them all over lol
@@ostacruiser oh those darn riders lol
🤘
Why didn’t you bring the sherp would of been a fun ride
That's like cheating lol
So why would they cut the "Go around" where its still under water???
Well it went from 7ft deep to 7"s so we are doing okay lol
osta will need bigger helmet soon :D
Haha that was my og atv helmet from 2007
@@ostacruiser :D
Awesome #306riders What lake is that?
Candle
Maybe you have something that you don't use anymore, maybe ill bemine for a big help with that ❤❤🙂
If you reached the cabin then by definition is it not unreachable.
That helmet looks like kid size.
It's my og helmet haha and I'm fat
😊👍🌹
Whats with the helmets. Is that a law?
I have the hd10 limited. And I live in New Mexico. It's registered and tagged. I can't imagine wearing helmets in my truck or car. Maybe it's like wearing a mask. It just feels safer?
Привит з Украины,досуг гуд, в качестве гуманитарной помощи один аппарат подарить????.
Why do you wear helmets in your truck like UTV. It's kind of silly and cumbersome.
Why are you wearing a helmet inside an enclosed cab SXS ??? Is that the legal way where you are at?
Go roll one and smash your noggin off the rollbar and get back to me lol
