      Kelly we owned a Kubota good machine but that hydro unit is loud. John Deere is a plush machine. Biggest complaint with our Kubota is it wouldn't cool or heat the cab enough. Be safe and thank you.

    I used to assemble and now machine parts for Polaris differentials. I mow my lawn with a one owner 1988 JD 420 garden tractor. I'm in the process of buying a JD 3046R cab tractor (with several toys) for property maintenance. I used to be sold on Can Am. I will have to pay attention to your experience as I am starting to need something for a ~1100' driveway for getting the mail / taking out the garbage and keeping an eye on my property.

    I realize you didn't want negative info on JD or their Gator but I'd like to share my experience: 2021 John Deere 835R
    Purchased this new 2 years ago. First UTV experience & do not know much about the mechanics. Recently took to dealer for 200 Hour Service and asked them to check what I described as a clunking sound when accelerating for a dead stop. I thought the drive belt needed to be tightened.
    Here is what the dealer said: "The Pillow Block Bearing is bad & making noise on the MFWD Driveshaft. The right front axle shaft is bad as well as is the front differential gears are binding up. Recommend replacing the bearing, driveshaft and front differential" Total cost of $3,325!
    Here the good part: The vehicle only has 3,500 miles on it & basically looks new. This vehicle is mostly drive by my wife who has never taken it off-road. She uses it to go visit friends, Bar hopping & dining. I use it occasionally on our wooded 38 acre home site to clean-up brush etc. It has probably been drive off-road a total of 100 miles & been in 4 wheel drive a total of 500 miles.
    Dealer says "Not covered under warranty & supposedly contacted JD and they refuse to warranty it.
    So they are basically telling me this is normal wear & tear. So expected life cycle is 3,500 miles?? I'm no mechanic but when you pay $26,000 for a vehicle and it's basically falling apart after 3500 miles; it's either junk from the start or has significant design flaws or defective part(s).
    Has anyone encountered a similar situation with Deere?

      That's horrible! I thought my video was spot on, the JD is not my first choice in this group. My brother baby's his and doesn't ride the trails. I'm truly sorry you had to go through that horrible experience fortunately we have a great dealer. Be safe.

    MERRY CHRISTMAS PETE !!
    It’s easy to see your brother’s gator has the very best lights front and back !!!!
    I also put the triple row led light bar 32” I believe that’s the length of the light bar .
    My side by side had the original leds it is road legal turn signals brake lights etc !
    Hope you watch what you eat as I also deal with diabetes !
    We are the same age and size I lost 30 pound so far !
    I get up at 5:45 am walk at least 2.2 miles at 3 to 3.3 mph that starts my day every morning and of course trying to cut back on how much I eat !
    And of course we have to cut out as much sugar as we can !
    Your Awesome my friend !!
    Again Merry Christmas & Happy New Year !!
    PS : I called Goodyear/Titan about the R14T and they do have a production run this December so they will be filling orders by January so I should be able to get them on my new John Deere 2022 3039R with deluxe cab !!
    If you have asked your dealer about these new tires they’ll probably say that John Deere dropped the ball because when I spoke with the man from Goodyear/Titan he actually said that Kabota signed a contract with them so all their new Kabota’s have the option of these new R14’s as a option
    Sadly John Deere did not !!!!

    Just traded my 2020 Northstar for the Defender limited. I really like the additional upper cabin space on the Defender along with the ergonomics. The Ranger cab ergos were fine for the most part, aside from the blue led side window controls blinding the driver & passenger. I also prefer the foot room of the Ranger. However, I think the driveline, overall fit/finish of the CanAm, along with the low rpm torque of the V-twin engine are what steered me to swap.
    I really enjoy your content! Keep up the good work 👍

    I have owned a 2021 Gator 835R since May. I am a farmer and I love it for around the farm. I looked at these exact 3 machines. If you are looking for a work machine the Gator can’t be beat. If I was going to use it for trail riding or playing in general I would have went for the Can Am or Polaris. The extra 30 HP in those machines is very noticeable, especially with the A/C running. Only other complaint on the Gator is the low fan speed of the A/C, heat fan is too fast. I feel like it needed a slower speed. The new Gators do have a park in the transmission with an optional e brake.

    • @maraudermitchelli
      @maraudermitchelli  2 роки тому +1

I have not done too much to my Canam XMR, but plan to build up an enclosed cab eventually. I love the height and beef to the XMR and it is truly amazing in the mountains of Alberta. I didn’t hate it… but we currently have a 2010 Honda MUV with only 500 hours on it. It’s huge. Like tons of room. I’m 6’4 250. The Kubota felt tiny.

    Thanks for the comparison video Pete. I am trying to decide between these same two machines except I will be going crew cab. I too like that the Polaris gives you a map and music where the others don't. I know it adds to the cost. I intend to largely trail ride with it as I don't own property to roam around on and take care of. I think the trail boss edition or the ultimate edition is the best way to go for me. I just hope that the trail riding performance will still be enough to do everything I want it to. I don't rock crawl but want it to get through some rocks if i need it to. What do think in your trail riding experience, will the polaris do it all for me? Thanks again.

    • @maraudermitchelli
      @maraudermitchelli  2 роки тому +2

      Bill I don't know what your expectation are for trail riding...they may be more extreme than my trails or less. I think the Ranger could handle any of the trails I ride...although I may choose not to take on the trail. Stock I believe the Ranger Trail Boss to be the best equipped from the factory for adventurous trails. The Defender XMR I had was a good trail machine, I was always concerned the Defender limited was too top heavy and tipsy...I like the Defender so much I didn't want to abuse it on the trail. The Ranger and Defender are historical tested on the trail...but that's relative to the trail. I will try to do a video to explain in the future. There are better machines for trail riding than the UTV's in my video...but they doe not have cabs and are more sport orientated, RZR, General, Maverick XS....thank you please let me know what you buy

      I believe I purchased that from Can Am. It was very good, not easy routing wire through firewall to the front, actually it was terrible. Polaris is much easier to wire. The light bar was expensive but very good quality. It may have been 20". thank you for supporting the channel I hope this helps.

      Francois interesting question. As all three machines have CVT transmission the fuel milage is probably low when compared to a 4 cylinder car. My 1000 cc atv's would get around 15 miles per gallon...I would say these are similar. It takes me many weeks to drive 15 miles on my property. I hope this helps. Please let me know what your mileage is with your machine. Be safe

      Jeff i would call dealers, or check online for used machines. More often there are used machines with low miles and it maybe possible to buy and extended warranty on a used machine. Also look for low interest loans that help defer the cost especially when winter is approaching and SXS season ends. I hope this helps you.

    Which one is better for equestrian type things and landscaping ??

    • @maraudermitchelli
      @maraudermitchelli  2 роки тому +1

      Jude we owned an equestrian farm with over 40 boarders and 6 school horses. For light duty use all the sxs would work well on the farm. For heavy use i always thought the diesel Kabota's would be the best but they are heavy and slow on the trail. For trail riding the Can Am and Polaris are the better choices. On our farm the workers used wheel barrels to clean the stalls and push them up a ramp into a manure spreader pulled by a tractor. I use my Ranger almost everyday on my property light duty work. I hope this helps thank you.

Also the canam is same price basically for limited vs a northstar ultimate and you get ride command on te ultimate which is amazing. The trail boss version is absolutely useless. Only thing you get is arched a arms. The load leveling is terrible
    And breaks and leaks. The arched a arms
