This video is meant to help people with team building in Genshin Impact. Unfortunately we don't have a lot of great team comps that EVERYONE can run and there were not a lot of beginner teams until now. And the best part it that it doesn't require any wishing or RNG to get these characters! This team comp building guide will help you build two solid beginner teams that can be upgraded over time to take on harder challenges like the abyss. And both teams do great without Bennett!

THANK YOU SO MUCH for making a video that is ACTUALLY free to play. Like, i get it, the biggest part of the videos all say that it is f2p but asks for xinqiu, Rosaria, Bennet and what else. This is what it's actually helpful BECAUSE you WILL have access to the biggest part of these characters if not all of them. It does what it says, simply amazing. And very good ideas for team building.
I take it Fischl was available from an event? I just started playing last week or so and it seems she's only available as a 4* pull. (I got her quick tho :)

OMG dude Im so glad I watched this video. I put Barbara, Collei, Kaeya and Raiden in a team and just blows everything up. I love this new team and I dont even have Collei and Barby past lvl 20 going to level them up now! It's more fun having teams other than," Oh you need Xinqiu and Benny for EVERY team. " It started to get boring watching videos of the same team with just the new character in it. Thanks Shark.

Collei being instated as a reward for clearing Abyss Floor 4 (the highest I've dared, because party split frightens my overworld-rotted mind) was a great move to make sure players can wield the kaleidoscopic power of Dendro, but not quite so early as to fall back on it before acclimating to the other elements.
me who was planning to get collei by abyss but ended up getting her from wishing: oh i see, super interesting.
It's time to stop focusing on a single character and build another team.
Also, with enough time you can actually solo both sides of the abyss effortlessly all the way to floor 8. It's the last 4 floors which get hectic and won't 9* unless both characters are whale invested (C6 and R5 BiS).
And yes, I know 9 and 10 are "easy", 11 arguably being hard and 12 being very hard with only 1 character on each side.
As soon as I saw no Bennett, required I click. Its hard to find teams that don't have Bennett.

Altho i use beidou as the last character instead of sucrose, cuz of super conduct and quicken reactions. After beidou reaches lvl 50 i will build sucrose for the frozen vegetable team
and with lanturn rite that flex character can be taken up by yao yao

I just started a few days ago, but, i have been rerolling for almost 2 weeks. I settled on an account where i got venti, the other accounts where i got 5 stars were either 5 star weapons or qiqi. The venti account was the best i got.
I probably created around 80 ish accounts.

I installed the game early when it was launched but don't understand much of the mechanics, later on I dropped the game because it was too difficult to understand the complexity for my bulldozer-game mind, I started the game recently and finish the geo archon quests and stuff, I even manage to complete spiral abyss level 3 and xiangling thanks to you man, I am f2p but keeps spending all my primogems in gacha without a care because don't understand the pity system, and all my character level are all over the place, but well, my wishes get me chongyun, collei, dehya, diona, fisch, sucrose, xiangling and xingqiu, besides the ones you get through the archons quest for free I see that a couple of my characters are very recommended but i don't understand how to build them, all the build guides you can find on the internet are for late stage full game completed, and almost nothing gets dedicated to f2p and early game, but really thank you for all your videos, for all the stuff you explain and publish, now I can finally build a party and try to leverage my account, all my characters are level 40, but my AR is level 32 so almost can't beat any boss to do farm work now because I wasn't understanding about synergy and reactions, all my teams are mismatched with all the elementals reaction that I can place, I'm gonna make a team with this and really appreciate all your videos and the works behind all of them, thank you.

There is an Amazing team that just required AT 20 (abyss for Xiangling).
C1 Anemo traveller full EM + Xiangling Atack% Crit%. Basically use Guoba and then use Traveller's Elemental skill. Basically Travller will pull everyone together (Including Guoba) and Swirl Pyro dealing a huge damage (due to EM). This basic combo also increases the Pyro effect duration so you can follow it with any other character (excluding Geo, Pyro and Dendro -it just creates the burning effect which is bad)
Wow, I'm interested with this team comp. I'm just started playing for about 2-3 weeks, still at AR 25. So with Anemo Traveler and Xiangling, can i combine it with Fischl and Kaeya or maybe Barbara for a bit of healing? A bit shamed that my main dps is Noelle, she's the biggest in terms of phy atck. So if it does good comp team, i guess i had to overhaul my build again
@@yudisnatha You can usse Barbara, Xiangling and Anemo traveller.
Barbata will be using the typical healing kit with thrilling tales- if possible. Do one attack (or a charged attack if there is more than one enemy and they are close) to apply hydro.
Change to Xiangling, she will get the buff from being the fiest character after barbara (thrilling tales effect) and deploy Guoba.
Change to anemo traveller and right beflre Guoba starts dealing pyro damage you use your skill and hold. It will swirl hydro- allowing you to apply hydro with the anemo traveler- and ultimately Guoba will be vaporizing the hydro dealing 1.5x damage (if Xiangling has 0 EM- base vaporise damage.)
Melt is better than Vaporise for Pyro user, so kaeya might work better than Barbara, and will also become a sub-dps on this team
@@yudisnatha Another Amazing team would be Kaeya + Lisa + Barbara + Electro Traveller.
Kaeya will be the main physical dps, so just build him as a general physical dps, nothing too crazy
Lisa will be the core of your team. She will allow you to proc super conduct which lowers phy-res, at A4 she has some defense shredd with her burst. She would be perfect with 4pc Noblesse (with ER sands) and an ER weapon aswell).
Barbara will be your healer and, because her off field hydro application - skill - is close ranged and your main dps is a close ranged cryo user you will be able to proc freeze. I'm not usre if 4pc Tenacity's effect works on barbara but if it does you will have an extra attack buff if enemies are hit by the hydro ring aroud the character. She will be using Thrilling tales and because she is mainly healer and you will not really use her as much as u use the other characters in your team, you will have a better control over this weapon's passive buff.
Electro Traveller should use full ER kit, like 2pc Emblem (20% ER), Er Sands, Er weapon. It will allow you to activate electro synergy and will serve as baterry, even if it's not the best.
Ps: Lisa can use prototype amber if you don't need ER weapon, providing some degree of healing and even energy for all teammates.
@@babyboy5553 Ah, thx for the tips. My Lisa is underdeveloped right now, but I did used Kaeya or Barbara occasionally. But I did have Fischl. Maybe I could used her to substitute Lisa. But for Elektro Traveler, I haven't got to Inazuma yet
@@yudisnatha If you use Fishl instead of Lisa I would recommend using her with 4pc Tenacity because it is not burst dependent like 4pc Noblesse. As long as Oz is hitting an opponent it will increase uour partie's damage. If you going to run Off-Field fishl then try giving her some ER.
This becomes even better if you use Kaeya + Fishl + Lisa + Barbara
Kaeya as physycal main dps
Fishl with 4pc Tenacity and some ER (with the bow 'Stringless' if possible or Favonious Warbow)
Lisa with 4pc Noblesse and ER (With Prototype Ambar, Favonious Codex...)
Barbara with any healer Pc (Mainden's, Clams...) with R5 thrilling tales

and she is comfortable at c0
I think for beginners they should use amber’s Barrot bunny and fishcl’s oz as the enemies will be distracted by barrot bunny and you can attack them but be careful since when barott bunny explodes you will caught in it so if you want to be safe use amber or fichls bow

really appreciate the actual free to play build. So many Genshin content creators consider "F2P" as "all 4costs" because they are actual whales and have no concept of what F2P actually is.

Freezer team sounds fun. Having Chonyun would just freeze enemies everytime. Instead of dendro traveler, i have tighnari. And have yelan. For flex possibly sayu or jean since they are the ines on higher level. I do have Heizou tho but sayu or jean has healing capabilities and i need that.
My Bennett will be pissed that i benched him. But he was there since the beginning tilll AR45. I need something fresh 😅
the only problem with chonyun with tighnari is that chonyun only provides the cryo infusion to polearm, sword, and claymore
I use a similar team, Dendro traveler ,Xingqiu, Xiangling & Noelle for her shield and geo application...this help me create Burgen reaction and deals 3x damage
Kk: I use the aether/Lisa combo, and if u stack enough energy, you can basically make an aggravate FIELD

Right now I am using Anemo traveler, Amber, Xingqiu and Qecing or Diona ... I should bring Kaeya in to the team and let Amber to rest a bit. I have olso Yao Yao at C2, Barbara and Lynette on the side. I used to like Lisa but Qecing won me over. I think i need to adjust my teams a bit. Thanks for the video ❤

Also Zhongli ganyu. Would you recommend running the.melt team for ganyu and doing fishl dendro traveler xingqiu and sucrose for a 2nd team. And as a low level would it be smarter to lvl the dendro team first, resource wise. I have ganyu an amos bow, no weapon on Zhongli. Ar10. My first comment is my sons account. Lucky brat lol
(AR33, F2P) - Would Kaeya, XingQue, MC Dendro and Collei work? What weapons do you recommend for each and who between Dendro MC and Collei will use the deepwood set and what about the other? Thank you very much! (I do have Barbara and Sayu as well)
Yes that would work! Dendro MC would do well with the sapwood blade or favonious sword. Collei would work well with the favonious warbow (you get this for free). I would but the deepwood on the dendro mc and Instructors/exile's/noblesse :)
After hundreds of hours into Genshin, I can definitively say every character is usable and useful. Yes, tier lists help you decide who is objectively better, but it's more important to properly build characters: levels, weapons, artefacts and talents, plus putting them on the right tea, than it is to make you own every "broken" 5*. I'm not saying Amber is better than Yoimiya, or Lisa is better than Shogun, or Kaeya is better than Ayaka... I'm just saying they all fill similar niches, and you'd be surprised what you can do with a F2P account.
interresting electro/dendro team, im pretty new at genshin, just hit AR40 today, also got Tighnari as my first 5*. Can the first team works with him as an on-field DPS?? (sadly my only options for electro are lisa and fischl)
Just have to hope for an event or something to actually get the characters.
I've been using a team with Fischl, Traveler, Xingqiu, and Sucrose since 3.0 came out. I've only been playing Genshin for a little over a month, so all of them are at relatively low investment at level 70 with barely any talent upgrades (all level 1 except Xingqiu) except for Fischl who was my former main DPS. All I can say is THIS TEAM SLAPS, AND IT SLAPS HARD. That being said, it can clear some stuff even faster than my main team even at AR50, and is literally running over content with "random bullsh*t, go".

I’m trying out a modified version of the last comp. I wanted to do Hyperbloom so I wanted Collei, DMC, Barbara, and Lisa. Is this team good? It’s all free characters so I’m thinking it might be stable to recommend too.
I will definitely try the last team. Maybe going Kaeya-Dendro MC-XQ-Barbara/Fischl/Beidou (if i get her). In a second account that i have i just pull 14 wishes and got Venti and Candace, then i also got Diona (this account is barely AR10). So maybe i will go with Kaeya/Diona-Candace-DendroMC-Venti idk

Would ganyu venti xingqiu and dendro traveler work on the hyper bloom? I have a low lvl account amd would need to follow your video go get my traveler dendro at a low lvl. But I think it may be a fun team to lvl with instead of morgana
I come from the top 4 characters that will carry trough the game video; Is Ganyu Still in the top 4? Or should I try to get ayaka instead (btw just for a quick memory refresh, the top 4 you said were bennet, xingqiu, venti and ganyu) thanks a lot
Ganyu is still OP bit not everyone likes her playstayle as much as Ayaka, who is also really strong. I would suggest getting one of them as a Cryo main dps since freeze teams are really strong.
You should use the sapwood blade on dendro traveler.
I pulled Yaoyao twice during the most recent banner. I want to build the first comp with electro+dendro; should I replace dendro traveller with yaoyao? Thanks, Sharkheart. This was a super helpful guide.
Yaoyao and DMC are both better than Collei imo
I have an account where I haven't used any event wishes since I started it and dps Lisa with dendro is the strongest team. She's even stronger than some of my teams from my main account(I like making different teams so on my main account I have all characters on lvl 70 or more and my team on no wishing account is lvl 60)

The quicken team, would change something I will take off Fischl and Traveler and add Yaoyao in team joined with Lisa Xingqiu and collei

Sorry completely new on Genshin only AR25. How do you get Dendro element? My traveller is currently Geo and only have F2P with the exception of Ningguang, Sucrose and Noelle.

I started playing Genshin yesterday and the characters I got from beginner banner are Keqing, Barbara and Noelle.
Fischl is so important to that team imo. I’m running Keqing in Lisa’s spot. My roster for that team is Oz, Keqing, Yaoyao, and either DMC or Kazuha, depending on what the situation wants. I also sometimes swap DMC in for Yaoyao instead if I feel like I don’t need the heals.

I think it's fine with Lisa but put the right artifacts on them all if u can... I use the fast equip button 😅

Not really. You would probably use razor on field most of the time, but then you wouldnt have enough hydro application to create a lot of dendro cores, and razor doesnt apply electro off field.

Is it possible to swap Collei with Faruzan in the aggravate team?
Everyone says the dendro MC is best currently, but since I have just arrived to Sumeru, I have C0 dendro MC, is he still good even without constellations? Should I upgrade his dendro talents ASAP?
We will get the constellation material along with archon quest and statue growing. Just take your time. The upgrade will effect way better tho, but everyone's phase isn't same.

This is a much needed video, however I want to know which would be the best dps team. I am AR 30 and I have a C1 Bennett, C0 Kaeya, C1 Fischl, C3 Collei, C1 Xiangling, C1 Sucrose, C0 Barbara, C0 Lisa, C2 Amber, anemo geo dendro aether, C0 Kuki Shinobu, C0 Noell. What would be the best team comp to focus on. have Bennett and Sucrose at lvl 40, Xiangling and Fischl at lvl 50, kaeya lvl 40. I am confident I will atleast get a xingqiu this banner, so let's assume i have that character aswell.
I'd use Xiangling, Bennet, Kaeya and Fischl or Collei, Fischl, Dendro travl. and Bennet. But I'm also very new to this game, so Idk if it's a good comb, it's just what I use
Kaeya xingqiu barbara for perma freeze with perhaps collei for fridge comp variation
Xiangling fischl sucrose kuki with sucrose as the driver (sukokomon comp variation)
Use national team. Sucrose, xiangling, bennet and xingqiu. You can easily get xingqiu from current limited banner. This team can be used in late game as well so it's very much worth investing on.

The event is over BUT you can still get Collei for free ^_^ You have to beat Abyss Floor 4-3 to get her.
Would the wanderer be a good pick for the flex character?
Nah. Generally you'd want to go with a support character and not an on field DPS.
so i am fairly new to the game and i was wanting to know how important is Elemental Resonance when making a team or is that a trap?
Elemental resonance is helpful but it's more important to have characters that works well together.

@@XRarehunterX It depends on the character but generally yes as long as that character is causing the elemental reaction. But most of the time you just focus on crit stats first for most characters.

Yes Xingqiu would be a lot better as he's the premier hydro character in the game! Your team will do very well ^_^ the team here was made with F2P palyers in mind who may not have Xingqiu or Venti, so you're in a better spot than someone who only has the base characters.

Not exactly because Collei applies a lot of dendro very quickly but over a very short duration and you need more sustained dendro application.

you can use starglitter to buy her in the shop, but it requires wishing in order to get enough starglitter

Do you think I can replace one of the dendro characters with tighnari in the Aggravate team?
Not exactly but if you do that you can make a spread team with Tighnari as the on field dps. Spread increases Dendro damage so it will work very well :)

LV 39 XIANGLING===============
4*PROTO RECHARGE Lv40
Atk/Recharge 3*Arti +8 (+12 4*ATK head)
4* Plume +12
(I did the dragonspire quest and got a bunch or 4*artifacts early +lv8 tree)
I started following your guide, using razor as the MC but then I got C2 on Xiang.
Trying to use her as SupDPS and Razor as MC
Is it a good team? What should I focus next?
I Have the chinese Ice boy and the thunder eyepatch big sister from gacha.
Razor and Xiangling aren’t very synergistic, since Xiangling has high energy requirements you can’t fulfil without a battery like Bennett. Besides, electro and pyro characters usually don’t mix well as it knocks enemies far away, making you waste time and stamina chasing them down. Are there any other characters you could use? Since the ones you listed have a hard time working together.
@@terrylap6132 As I said I'm new to the game and only have the starters + Razor Beidou and Chongyun.
I'm at AR30 now and the only one I'm building is Xiangling.
Since I don't have a team, I can't really loop her burst so I just switched from ER% and EM to PDMG% and It feels a lot better.

@@pedrocalebe6407 In that case, perhaps you can try a reverse melt comp with Kaeya, Chongyun and Xiangling. Since Xiangling applies lots of pyro with Guoba and her burst, Kaeya and Chongyun can consistently melt with his skill and burst. You’d have to invest in Kaeya and Chongyun as a DPS though, in this case.
Oof I just started like a week before the last zhongli banner ended so I think I missed two of the four characters.
You can still get Collei! The event should be running for a little while longer :) But the Ganyu and Kokomi banners are both great and you can make some great teams from the 4 stars there, too :)
@@sharkh3art the problem is Collei event quest requires AR 35. A lot of new players are not going to be able to do it. I myself am speedruning AR 35 justo to get her. I hope I do.

fischl is pretty much the reason that team comp works so if you dont have her you'd be better off using the second team

Bro can I create a team with zhongli, nigguang,heizou,Dori,xangling,and the 4 starters
Ning + Zhong can work well together. I'd also pair Geo MC with them and either xiangling or dori

@@abdullahsayyed4840 Xiangling is a sub dps meaning she uses her skill and burst and then switches out. Dori does the smae thing but she is a healer and also regenerates your elemental energy to use your elemental burst.

I'd recommend using Barbara over Dori and make a hyperbloom team. Dori has poor electro application and damage. Barbara can produce a constant amount of hydro being a catalyst user and can also heal.

@@flakooo Actually you can build Barbara as a pseudo-DPS if you wanted to. She heals enough and if you put HP artifacts on her and give her something like a 4 piece Gilded Dreams set that would work well with this team. And if they ever make a set that increases the damage of bloom/hyperbloom that would be good for her, too ^_^

It won't be as good because Dori's electro application and damage isn't very good. I'd recommend using Barbara instead for hyperbloom if you don't have Fischl.
