For anyone struggling not to summon, here's what I do. Look at your profile and look through the characters. You'll see a lot of characters you own that aren't built. I can almost guarantee you really like one of them. Focus on that. That's how I got my c6 beidou and her fish sword maxed out and she is one of my favorites now

When I started, back in november 2022, I had to summon every time I had 160 primogems lol, I just couldn't stop it. And I was still testing if I really liked the game. And with that, I got tighnari, which convinced me to play the game, and the WANDERER!!! I feel like I've benn blessed, cause I loved his gameplay so muuuuuuuch, I'm always going to explore with him from now on. And the game actually helped me to start saving primos. After I got raiden (really lucky too, at like 67 pity, won the 50/50) I wanted to save for nahida next. I wasn't sure I could resist the urge to summon, but when I discovered we would have that Dehya and Cyno banner, I saw that i didn't needed them and they didnt look so good lol Anyway, what I'm saying is, cyno and dehya's banner helped me hold my primos for 2 weeks, and now I can wait for my next favorite character. I got nahihi, and now im goih for alhaitham, (even with kazuha sharing the banner with him), cause I want to have a dps with a complex gameplay, kazuha will just make my team win easier. If you read this far, I'm not sure why I kept writing honestly, but thank you for your time
My worst mistake was spending 3200 primos on standard banner. I really regret doing that since I didn't know they would always be there. But I have learnt my lesson and also understood that not all characters are necessary. As an F2P I am really grateful to some online people who advised me while doing co op in my world. I fhought only 5 stars were good (weapon or character) but now it is clear that is not always the case
i quit genshin for about 2 years, came back to dog dookie banners and didnt wish, completely wiped my past wishing addiction and now after about a month of playing i already have 150 wishes saved up so i think i got lucky in a way, i definitely agree with all the points you said about saving too, i followed them by chance and heck do i know it works
Me too lol...i couldn't play genshin impact before cause my device didn't supported it but now 2 years later i have a new computer of mine so i came back to genshin and after playing for 1 month straight.... now i have 21k primo with me.

i totally forgot about the 1 time domains. i can only count on new regions for freemogems as i've 100% everything except the Sumeru tree and last 2 desert regions. TT you're so right about how it's designed to make you spend. i wasn't going to at 1st but got hit with FOMO. it's only since Baizhu that i realized that i dont have the resources to build any new characters. so now i'm starting to build vertically and look back at other characters i already have and try to get them more optimized. i'm making Baizhu my last character until maybe the hydro archon IF i like her playstyle.
I must agree that the teyvat interactive map is the best thing for farming primos. I found out about it when I wanted to get some last moment wishes for a character when I just got to Inazuma. It's a shame though that you have to manually click the chests in the interactive map to show that you have looted them, otherwise I wouldn't have needed to use 20 hours in making sure that I have every chest in Mondstad. To this day I still haven't completed 100% of any region due to laziness since it feels like **** to go to the place where you were supposed to have a chest but it runs out that you already claimed it 2-3 years ago. However, now with Sumeru it's really helpful since after every chest or puzzle that I complete I write it down in the map
I'm new to genshin and started playing from the last kazuha gacha and got AR 46. I know almost all ways except TCG,neko and check in. I didn't save primos and got 2 items for each of 5 star characters and weapons. But now I'm saving for the last 7days cuz of incoming Wanderer gacha (one of my favorites) and got over 50 wishes. Wish me luck to get in 90. BTW, good content, help a lot, thank you so much.
The (very simple) maths: 160 x 90 (if not lucky) 160 x 75-80 (soft pity) || 90 = 14,400 || 75-80 = 12,000-12,800 || Every day you can get 60 primogems (not including if you find chests or complete quests) which in one year would give you 21,900 meaning in a month you can get 1680 on February 1,800 for 30 day months and 1,860 for 31 day months meaning 1 ten pull per month of you did solely did commisions and did no quests
The saving part is absolutely correct. My fav cryo character is Shenhe and I wanted to pull her but my friend advised against it as she was cryo buffer but what I wanted was a dps. He told me to pull for Ayaka and not waste primos on Shenhe. I was really saved(although I lost 50/50 on Ayaka, I have Alhaitham as my main dps and later saved well to pull Zhongli)
I also want shenhe im not rlly trying to look for characters that are good to pull for I mainly just wanna pull for who I want first so I can enjoy the game with the characters I like
@Made-In-HeavenYou can wish on the standard banner if you like it won’t leave the game or anything, the wish banner has limited characters for you to get but if you don’t get them their banner will be back but it will take a while🥲
pull who you want to pull , just find a team that works for her , don't just not pull someone cos their not meta , ayaka unlocks something new for shenhe , so maybe try getting her too
kazuha was the best thing that ever happend to me. Before I didn't like any characters and i was too broke to wish for any of them and then when I got kazuha after liking his design and people praising him he believe or not became my main dps and its so fun to use him and I still get a lot of damage done. Now im saving for Raiden's rerun so i can use kazuha for her and be 10x more powerful since I also like raiden's design and people praising her.

I have started a new account, I already had enough primos for a 5-star on Kazuha, however, I lost the 50/50, I will now do as you said, not wish for 2 weeks and hopefully get him as he is a game changer.
THE LESS UNITS YOU HAVE THE FASTER YOU CAN RAISE THE ONE YOU HAVE SO YOU CAN FOCUS ON MAXING THEM. Once you get past this you can get a good control over your resources for you new summons. I was able to grow a lot of my new summons instantly because I had back up resources since my main party were strong enough
@@YouryGaming sure. But it's very hard to stay discipline because the fomo is so strong. Basically al you need to completely understand and accept is the the units ALWAYS come back. Even if it takes a while, they will have reruns. When you understand this you start off with choosing your 4 units you want to run and raise. For example When Kazuha was coming I really wanted him so I didn't pull for anyone at all and I just worked on my main 4 units and ONLY them. Zhongli Benny Xiao Beidou Then I maxed each of them individually. Got their weapons, artifacts, talents and evo mats. Took a month for each one because I also had to farm books n mora. But since I was just working on only those 4 I had no distractions other than themselves. Meaning I would rotate from one to the next (usually from burn out grinding the same fights). Afterwards when they were strong enough I had enough back of resources from waiting for Kazuha to arrive. So much that when I finally got him (at c2) he was maxed in a week lmaoo. I used this same method for Raiden. You just have to use their rerun date as a deadline to have your resources ready and in the meantime, raise your current units to be strong enough to breeze through and carry you in any farming you'll need. Good luck. PS: Farm mora more than exp books. I farmed about 11mill mora and spend most of my x2 days on it. But to be honest you just need to farm enough for your next upgrade. It'll feel slow but the progress will show when you start finishing and checking things off. It's the Genshin mats tracker to see how much you need or have left.
For people who can’t help but wish every single time you get enough primos or fates, try leveling up your team and weapons. If you build good characters you will breeze through the game and you won’t feel like you NEED any character. Makes it a lot easier to save primos when you can just play the game as normal
Something I do to keep from wishing when I get a lot of primos is I will go and convert them all to fates. You see the number of fates you have on less menus and it puts into perspective just how many or in most cases how few roles I have. Keeps me frugal.
It will always be a little difficult for new players or those who have bad luck when it comes to wishes. My luck has been a little shitty as really the only ones i have are the ones given for free, the ones for completing the spiral abyss and Diona, that's it. It was already difficult trying to upgrade them, their weapons and artifacts when the ones i had weren't really that strong. Spiral Abyss alone was brutal enough.
10:04 Oh thinking about that, hey guys uh do note that to get all Lumenspar you'll need to start an Archon quest that takes place after Inuzuma's Archon Quest is over to get a specific character to break the purple barrier to let you get the final 2 Lumenspar in the middle of the whole map so yeah the whole thing is locked behind that upside down castle thing with the purple barrier that appears when you touch it. So uh if you can't get the Lumenspar you can see it in the center, that's why, it's locked behind an Archon Quest AFTER Inuzuma.
The amusing thing is I spent ages doing character quests to unlock that one. Turned out that I had the wrong quest, ended up in the hours long quest with Yelan, Yanfei, Xiao, Itto and Kuki. The quest said something like "an unexpected visitor appears in the chasm" and I kept waiting for far too long for Dain to turn up.
I'm new player and trying ever single characters on Event that you can make custom domain, and the most enjoyable character is Kazuha and I pull and get him , I have no regret If he have re run I will pulling again for him !
Almost every chest gives you mats to level, so i do like exploring for primogems to progress my characters more. I would say 400 a day is good progress, but there are days you get a 1000 and days you get maybe 100. It a very inconsistent depending what you do. Also make it a goal to focus heavily on F2P weopens, having options is actually really important. You can make 30 enhancement mats a day if you farm 100, you get 20 crystals at least a day also. This is 210 a week just from creating.
when it comes to my habit of wanting to draw all the time, thats what the standard banner wishes are for. i just keep em around until i have the irresistible urge to wish
I've done all of this and I can say it is true. I wished for Nahida and skipped all the banners since Raiden rerun last January. I started playing last year December with only 5 months, I can beat the abyss until floor 11 chamber 3. I considered Nahida because of her personality, lore and her playstyle so I go for her c2. But before I got her, I use f2p 4 star carry characters like Xingqiu and Xiangling. Now, I currently saving for Zhongli or Kazuha. 5 months playing this game and doing this all kind of advices from the video can help you to not get burnout and still excited to play the game.
Same I would love to have Neuvi but I recently used a sizeable no of primos to pull Morax and now I am saving to get Raiden(or Xingqiu if he comes into some banner)
I've been playing gacha games for many years and saving is something I only start doing after some time I've been playing. There is one game I've been playing since 2017 and I almost never pull on the gachas and just save my currency for when I really need it. It is something I need to start doing in Genshin as well and this video reminded me of that, so thank you! Just started playing genshin but I have played several other gacha games so i should be fine saving my gems, This game is much more fun than I was expecting.
If you are on Playstation, don't make a Hoyo account and try to link. "Link" is misleading, because it doesn't actually work like that. You are prompted to create a new account in-game. It doesn't let you associate an existing one. Another thing I had been missing was the rewards you get from doing Ascension. From the character screen, you press D-pad Right (on PS, not sure on other platforms) to get the rewards. In addition to materials, you get blue Fates on 1st, 3rd & 5th Ascension. Once I realized, I had enough accumulated for a couple 10 pulls on the standard banner. Also, I appreciate the proper usage of "meta".
3 months ago I spent 1/2 hrs finding All the anemolocolus for the state of seven I must say it was rly fun and good to do for some primos so do it !!1!
I unlocked all the statues and most waypoints (besides dragonspine and inazuma) for primos and mainly cuz for convenience in future quests. it.helps.a.lot.

New genshin player here. here is what I do with the spending thing. I buy wish items yes, but I dont use them. It works for me. Also finding out who is a good character can be hard, so what I do there is I ask my friend if this character is good. He played since the game released and max abyss. Atm he have told me to go for the banner, and I have also tried Mualani she is problerly a main to me because how fun she is
If you are new , save your paimon's bargain currency Use the more common one for the reset wishes and the rarer one because you can buy bennet , xinqiu and fischl on rotation . Do not buy the farmable recources , EVER
@amazarashii4453 there are 2 different kinds of starglitter. One can buy an infinite amount of wishes which you should only use for 4 star characters you desperately want, a weapon that is great for a character you use or the limited banner wishes. As you only get that starglitter when pulling a 4/5 star character you already have or when you pull and 4/5 star weapon. The other kind of starglitter you get from pulling 3 star weapons. You can buy 5 of each wish once a month and farmable resources. Use that starglitter however you want cause it's super easy to attain
I try to pull when i get 1600 primos and atm i am targeting archons, lost 50/50 on geo so i dont think im getting him for now. Other than that i am mostly happy with units i got so far (i am skipping some meta units like hu tao cos redonculusly hard to cancel charged attack by jumping on android and allready have diluc) but they deff need some building My plan atm is this by priority: 1. Pull for archons 2. Accend 70 on all units for free wishes 3. Lvl all units i plan to use in abysses to 90 (atm they are accended 80) 4. Start farming bosses to lvl up their talents past 6 6. Farm up artefacts for them (idk, a week or 2 per character), atm they have sets with somewhat pasable stats, i did cca 3 days of farming after accending them to 80 and lvling talents to 6 7. Start doing abyss (i have 8 stars on floor 7 and 0 on floor 8, deff need to up dps be4 resuming) I still have 100 fragile resin, might start blowing some on 6.
I am just unlock inazuma at Ar 45 😂 I enjoy exploring monstad until 100% and I just want to collect archon since I am quite new to game and do not have any 5 star except venti and qiqi where I just pull 😢
Appreciated your comment about using the Trials for characters. My testament to that was when I had the opportunity to try out Beidou. For the longest time my only Electro was Lisa. But when I pulled Beidou, I quickly swapped her into my reaction team, because my play style pace sync's with her perfect parry nearly 9 out of 10 times! It's insane! Since then I pulled Keqing and Kuki, and despite running them, I still get more play value with Beidou on my Teyvat Adventures. Regarding the two weeks detox, I performed that on my account already, I would add, that performing the detox during the last week on one banner set and the first week of the next helped me to overcome that need to pull. About my only disagreement with you Shark, remains the same; and only because I am happy with the team already pulled. Two of my favorite party members run on the Paimon's Bargain Starglitter Page, so I do spend a certain number of Primogems on the Weapons Banner to freely pull them for Constellations. That's an easy thing to do when the banner showcases a bunch of 4 stars weapons you can rank up and have the party you WANT to run with. Great video overall, I look forward to seeing what you have to share next time!
For me its just thinking about how fun it is to spend a lot of primos at once to guarantee a character i like, rather than wasting 160 primos just to get disappointed (3 stars).
Playing a character you really like makes all the different for us all. At one point I did a trial for kokomi's rerun. And to everyone I know's astonishment, I prefered QIQI over her. I love kokomi more than barbara, and I still wanted her for utility, but I am waiting and saving for kazuha. Not for his power, even tho I have venti (which I LOVE playing with) and sucrose, but because it felt good to play, even on my friend's AR 12 account, I loved his playstyle. THIS is why I am saving, abyss 12 can wait for all I care, my wallet need that care ;)
I think Kazuha is the most fun I've had on a character in the game so far. Considering he's a 1.X character, his playstyle has really held the test of time.
I do all these things (except the out of the game stuff) as for Kazuha thank you for praising him i main him and have never pulled for another 5 Stars and won't do so until i C6 Kazuha
i'll be honest i really don't understand the big deal with saving instead of wishing whenever, coz realistically as a f2p unless you play hours every day or save for months at a time you can't guarantee a 5 star, and 50% of your 5 stars will be random anyway, and you lose literally nothing by wishing since pity is shared between both banners and lasts indefinitely. if you have one particular 5 star you're absolutely dying for then yh you can build up a stockpile to guarantee them on their rerun but it's dumb luck when that character might come out so you may as well just wish and be content with who you get coz you will eventually build up a decent collection even if your luck is awful. just play the game for fun and realise you don't need specific characters to enjoy it
The thing that doesn't save is the 50/50... I mean between reruns. If you tried for a character banner once and made it to pity and lost the 50/50 and you try on a later banner for the same character and you won your last 50/50 in between for a different you have to gain a loss in between for a guarantee or have good luck. Having the ~180 wishes for hard pity twice saved, gets you over the luck barrier towards the safely guaranteed side. Otherwise you could get to the point where your pity is usefull only for other banner or not at all for a long time if you want a specific character because the banner ran out before you could get the character you wanted...
Being new to genshin, your videos have been really great. Just as a tip/request tho, please either do a flashing image/lights warning at the beginning or just like.... Not include them... I'm epileptic and I know there are plenty of people who play that are too so it's not great to only be able to listen to a video that needs to be watched just in case there is that flashing.
If you don't spend money or too much time on the game save primogems to do 10 pulls on standard banner remember it's permanent banner and you will get something good even if it's 4 star and yes one more thing max out your current team that you play with don't bother with leveling up all the characters it's a death wish if you do that. From adventure books you will get artifact for all elements and yes I know all about crit rate, DMG and EM, ER but if you want to have fun and don't want to feel left behind by world levels increase do that. These guys know a lot about genshin mechanics and can give a lot of usefull tips to be stronger real fast but at end of it all it depends on you it's your game your world take it slow as much as you want and keep exploring and go with what you have if you don't spend money or too much time then forget about dps and support just focus on your 4 characters team that you play with and max them out because other characters you will get in time but having a already maxed out team helps you stay ahead of the world level and learn the bosses mechanics and don't panic as soon as the boss does something crazy believe me each of your characters can tank the damage you if build them and stay ahead of the world level. This is for super casual players who don't play 6-8 hrs a day. Rest of it has been said in the video. Feel free to correct me.
Not me getting Yae Miko at 40 pity as a F2P player after putting a team of 4 electro characters and going in front of sakura tree then using their E skill and doing a ten pull just 4 days ago, i'm proud of me.
I'm 88 days into the game. Watched your guides around 3rd week. Now I have saved 32k primos, 25 intertwined fates, used 80 wishes only on Nahida, which I paired with gathered along the way c3 Kuki, Barbara (no other hydro ;-;) and deNdro traveler and deal 25k dmg on AR45 :D. I would really want to See Kazuha in 3.7 and maybe Wanderer. I could use them in Benny/Xinangling team and finally have a good second team for tower. I might have only one 5 star character righT now, but I feel I'm managing very well, thanks to your video guides SharkH3art :)
nahida is best 5 star in the game imo, so a good one to have if you can only have one :) as archons generally are. i suggest raiden next rerun, she makes a great pairing with nahida for hyperbloom
Do you know about the "pity system" ? if not , I suggest you to watch a video about it. I write all my wishes down at each banner to get 5 sar characters I really need. That was the way I have get Kokomi and Raiden.
3:00 quickstarts may help you while you climb the archon/story quest wall but it's not a good idea to be slacking on it. For example the current Sorush event does not have a quickstart option as far as I know, you need to have the quest done. I'd add one more suggestion: do not spend primogems on replenishing your resin. Withstanding the urge to buy some extra resin for 60 primogems is as valuable as finishing one archon quest. And one thing you didn't mention here: keep weapon banner pulls on leash. While getting the character you want may cost up to 28800 primogems, getting the weapon for that character may cost up to 38400 primogems. That's a lot. So unless you have enough primogems for the trip and are willing to spend them on it, don't really pull on the weapon banner for any particular weapon, just spend a few pulls on it when you have some spare primogems and there are nice weapons on the banner. That way even though they may not come as fast as you'd wish, you will build a nice stash of 5* weapons eventually. If you save those ~30k primogems, go pulling and win 50:50, good. You got what you wanted and you still have plenty for the future. If you lose 50:50, give your pulling another thorough thought. Do you really need that character, or will you rather keep the rest of your primogems and the guarantee as basis for saving for upcoming banners? There may be something lurking that's way more valuable than what you're pulling for right now. And in the end an opinion: while pulling whenever you got 160 primogems is definitely bad strategy, having 100+k primogems also counts as going overboard, just in the opposite direction. Those primos are for pulls, they do nothing when you just pile them up. Keep some reserve for characters you feel you may want in the future and spend the rest on characters you like today. The game gives us about 8k primogems per month (including 1200 from 36* Abyss), you can keep that on mind and plan your budget in advance.
I think Shark is not telling the entire truth here. The way this game goes is: You can roughly pick one five star every two patches. When You have two accounts You can pretty much own all the characters You want on two accounts combined. Its hard to tell how the character plays out for You until You get it and test it on you account. The thing is its not about being patient and saving primos to get the character You really dreamed about. What Shark really does is having all the characters but on two accounts. For example If I had other account I would not go for c2 Raiden, I would have used my primos elsewere, but the truth is c2 Raiden does different things(basically can be a real hypercarry) than C0 Raiden and there is no way to expierience C2 Raiden without spending a lot of primos. What I mean is Shark may not buy primogens but he is paying with his time because he does same events, quests, and exploration on two sepparate accounts. First time may be fun but the second time is more like overtime. So how to get as many primos and characters as Shark did? Make two accounts and play the same thing twice to get double the primos and then call it F2P, but don't mention it takes 8 hours a day to do it.

I already did Monstadt but I think keeping the memories of the game through the videos while also being able show people my reactions, opinions, love for the game and discuss about it? I already think it's worth a shot but I'd like to hear what some others think to make up my mind.
I did not know about the tea pot and set pieces for extra primos. But there is so much to keep up. Guess I can figure that out now. Waiting for reruns is important, especially for new characters that are released
0:38 You didn't take in account soft pity. Most drops come around 77 and rarely goes above 80 wishes. So in reality a guaranteed limited 5* cost 24640~25600 primos. 8:43 There are scripts to automate the daily login. You can run it on google scripts. Being doing it for more than a year.

I fhought only 5 stars were good (weapon or character) but now it is clear that is not always the case
i quit genshin for about 2 years, came back to dog dookie banners and didnt wish, completely wiped my past wishing addiction and now after about a month of playing i already have 150 wishes saved up so i think i got lucky in a way, i definitely agree with all the points you said about saving too, i followed them by chance and heck do i know it works
Me too lol...i couldn't play genshin impact before cause my device didn't supported it but now 2 years later i have a new computer of mine so i came back to genshin and after playing for 1 month straight.... now i have 21k primo with me.

you're so right about how it's designed to make you spend. i wasn't going to at 1st but got hit with FOMO. it's only since Baizhu that i realized that i dont have the resources to build any new characters. so now i'm starting to build vertically and look back at other characters i already have and try to get them more optimized.
i'm making Baizhu my last character until maybe the hydro archon IF i like her playstyle.

I must agree that the teyvat interactive map is the best thing for farming primos. I found out about it when I wanted to get some last moment wishes for a character when I just got to Inazuma. It's a shame though that you have to manually click the chests in the interactive map to show that you have looted them, otherwise I wouldn't have needed to use 20 hours in making sure that I have every chest in Mondstad.
To this day I still haven't completed 100% of any region due to laziness since it feels like **** to go to the place where you were supposed to have a chest but it runs out that you already claimed it 2-3 years ago. However, now with Sumeru it's really helpful since after every chest or puzzle that I complete I write it down in the map
I'm new to genshin and started playing from the last kazuha gacha and got AR 46. I know almost all ways except TCG,neko and check in. I didn't save primos and got 2 items for each of 5 star characters and weapons. But now I'm saving for the last 7days cuz of incoming Wanderer gacha (one of my favorites) and got over 50 wishes. Wish me luck to get in 90. BTW, good content, help a lot, thank you so much.
The (very simple) maths:
160 x 90 (if not lucky) 160 x 75-80 (soft pity)
|| 90 = 14,400 || 75-80 = 12,000-12,800 ||
Every day you can get 60 primogems (not including if you find chests or complete quests) which in one year would give you 21,900
meaning in a month you can get 1680 on February 1,800 for 30 day months and 1,860 for 31 day months meaning 1 ten pull per month of you did solely did commisions and did no quests
The saving part is absolutely correct. My fav cryo character is Shenhe and I wanted to pull her but my friend advised against it as she was cryo buffer but what I wanted was a dps. He told me to pull for Ayaka and not waste primos on Shenhe. I was really saved(although I lost 50/50 on Ayaka, I have Alhaitham as my main dps and later saved well to pull Zhongli)
I also want shenhe im not rlly trying to look for characters that are good to pull for I mainly just wanna pull for who I want first so I can enjoy the game with the characters I like
@Made-In-HeavenYou can wish on the standard banner if you like it won’t leave the game or anything, the wish banner has limited characters for you to get but if you don’t get them their banner will be back but it will take a while🥲
pull who you want to pull , just find a team that works for her , don't just not pull someone cos their not meta , ayaka unlocks something new for shenhe , so maybe try getting her too

kazuha was the best thing that ever happend to me. Before I didn't like any characters and i was too broke to wish for any of them and then when I got kazuha after liking his design and people praising him he believe or not became my main dps and its so fun to use him and I still get a lot of damage done. Now im saving for Raiden's rerun so i can use kazuha for her and be 10x more powerful since I also like raiden's design and people praising her.

I have started a new account, I already had enough primos for a 5-star on Kazuha, however, I lost the 50/50, I will now do as you said, not wish for 2 weeks and hopefully get him as he is a game changer.
THE LESS UNITS YOU HAVE THE FASTER YOU CAN RAISE THE ONE YOU HAVE SO YOU CAN FOCUS ON MAXING THEM.
Once you get past this you can get a good control over your resources for you new summons. I was able to grow a lot of my new summons instantly because I had back up resources since my main party were strong enough
@@YouryGaming sure. But it's very hard to stay discipline because the fomo is so strong.
Basically al you need to completely understand and accept is the the units ALWAYS come back. Even if it takes a while, they will have reruns. When you understand this you start off with choosing your 4 units you want to run and raise.
For example
When Kazuha was coming I really wanted him so I didn't pull for anyone at all and I just worked on my main 4 units and ONLY them. Zhongli
Benny
Xiao
Beidou
Then I maxed each of them individually. Got their weapons, artifacts, talents and evo mats. Took a month for each one because I also had to farm books n mora. But since I was just working on only those 4 I had no distractions other than themselves. Meaning I would rotate from one to the next (usually from burn out grinding the same fights).
Afterwards when they were strong enough I had enough back of resources from waiting for Kazuha to arrive. So much that when I finally got him (at c2) he was maxed in a week lmaoo.
I used this same method for Raiden. You just have to use their rerun date as a deadline to have your resources ready and in the meantime, raise your current units to be strong enough to breeze through and carry you in any farming you'll need.

PS: Farm mora more than exp books. I farmed about 11mill mora and spend most of my x2 days on it.
But to be honest you just need to farm enough for your next upgrade. It'll feel slow but the progress will show when you start finishing and checking things off. It's the Genshin mats tracker to see how much you need or have left.

For people who can’t help but wish every single time you get enough primos or fates, try leveling up your team and weapons. If you build good characters you will breeze through the game and you won’t feel like you NEED any character. Makes it a lot easier to save primos when you can just play the game as normal
Something I do to keep from wishing when I get a lot of primos is I will go and convert them all to fates. You see the number of fates you have on less menus and it puts into perspective just how many or in most cases how few roles I have. Keeps me frugal.
It will always be a little difficult for new players or those who have bad luck when it comes to wishes. My luck has been a little shitty as really the only ones i have are the ones given for free, the ones for completing the spiral abyss and Diona, that's it.
It was already difficult trying to upgrade them, their weapons and artifacts when the ones i had weren't really that strong. Spiral Abyss alone was brutal enough.
Another tip is to not watch youtube/twitch wishing videos. At least for me all they do is make when want to wish even more.
10:04 Oh thinking about that, hey guys uh do note that to get all Lumenspar you'll need to start an Archon quest that takes place after Inuzuma's Archon Quest is over to get a specific character to break the purple barrier to let you get the final 2 Lumenspar in the middle of the whole map so yeah the whole thing is locked behind that upside down castle thing with the purple barrier that appears when you touch it.
So uh if you can't get the Lumenspar you can see it in the center, that's why, it's locked behind an Archon Quest AFTER Inuzuma.

The amusing thing is I spent ages doing character quests to unlock that one. Turned out that I had the wrong quest, ended up in the hours long quest with Yelan, Yanfei, Xiao, Itto and Kuki. The quest said something like "an unexpected visitor appears in the chasm" and I kept waiting for far too long for Dain to turn up.
I'm new player and trying ever single characters on Event that you can make custom domain, and the most enjoyable character is Kazuha and I pull and get him , I have no regret If he have re run I will pulling again for him !

Almost every chest gives you mats to level, so i do like exploring for primogems to progress my characters more. I would say 400 a day is good progress, but there are days you get a 1000 and days you get maybe 100. It a very inconsistent depending what you do. Also make it a goal to focus heavily on F2P weopens, having options is actually really important. You can make 30 enhancement mats a day if you farm 100, you get 20 crystals at least a day also. This is 210 a week just from creating.
when it comes to my habit of wanting to draw all the time, thats what the standard banner wishes are for. i just keep em around until i have the irresistible urge to wish

I wished for Nahida and skipped all the banners since Raiden rerun last January. I started playing last year December with only 5 months, I can beat the abyss until floor 11 chamber 3.
I considered Nahida because of her personality, lore and her playstyle so I go for her c2. But before I got her, I use f2p 4 star carry characters like Xingqiu and Xiangling.
Now, I currently saving for Zhongli or Kazuha. 5 months playing this game and doing this all kind of advices from the video can help you to not get burnout and still excited to play the game.
Same I would love to have Neuvi but I recently used a sizeable no of primos to pull Morax and now I am saving to get Raiden(or Xingqiu if he comes into some banner)

I've been playing gacha games for many years and saving is something I only start doing after some time I've been playing. There is one game I've been playing since 2017 and I almost never pull on the gachas and just save my currency for when I really need it. It is something I need to start doing in Genshin as well and this video reminded me of that, so thank you!

Just started playing genshin but I have played several other gacha games so i should be fine saving my gems, This game is much more fun than I was expecting.
If you are on Playstation, don't make a Hoyo account and try to link. "Link" is misleading, because it doesn't actually work like that. You are prompted to create a new account in-game. It doesn't let you associate an existing one.
Another thing I had been missing was the rewards you get from doing Ascension. From the character screen, you press D-pad Right (on PS, not sure on other platforms) to get the rewards. In addition to materials, you get blue Fates on 1st, 3rd & 5th Ascension. Once I realized, I had enough accumulated for a couple 10 pulls on the standard banner.
Also, I appreciate the proper usage of "meta".
usually when i wanna save primogems for a character i want, i jus make a new account or go on an alt and use my current primos on the banners
1 more tip if u guys want to try out is that u might all try rerolling accts and dont stop until u get a 5 star char from limited banner

I unlocked all the statues and most waypoints (besides dragonspine and inazuma) for primos and mainly cuz for convenience in future quests.

New genshin player here. here is what I do with the spending thing. I buy wish items yes, but I dont use them. It works for me. Also finding out who is a good character can be hard, so what I do there is I ask my friend if this character is good. He played since the game released and max abyss. Atm he have told me to go for the banner, and I have also tried Mualani she is problerly a main to me because how fun she is
I saved for two weeks before Nahida's banner, and will now because Yae Miko will probably get a rerun
We also get primos from doing commissions in our friends worlds. That's another 80 per friend world.
First time you check in for the daily check in gives ya 100 primos too
If you are new , save your paimon's bargain currency
Use the more common one for the reset wishes and the rarer one because you can buy bennet , xinqiu and fischl on rotation . Do not buy the farmable recources , EVER

@amazarashii4453 there are 2 different kinds of starglitter. One can buy an infinite amount of wishes which you should only use for 4 star characters you desperately want, a weapon that is great for a character you use or the limited banner wishes. As you only get that starglitter when pulling a 4/5 star character you already have or when you pull and 4/5 star weapon.
The other kind of starglitter you get from pulling 3 star weapons. You can buy 5 of each wish once a month and farmable resources. Use that starglitter however you want cause it's super easy to attain

I try to pull when i get 1600 primos and atm i am targeting archons, lost 50/50 on geo so i dont think im getting him for now.
Other than that i am mostly happy with units i got so far (i am skipping some meta units like hu tao cos redonculusly hard to cancel charged attack by jumping on android and allready have diluc) but they deff need some building
My plan atm is this by priority:
1. Pull for archons
2. Accend 70 on all units for free wishes
3. Lvl all units i plan to use in abysses to 90 (atm they are accended 80)
4. Start farming bosses to lvl up their talents past 6
6. Farm up artefacts for them (idk, a week or 2 per character), atm they have sets with somewhat pasable stats, i did cca 3 days of farming after accending them to 80 and lvling talents to 6
7. Start doing abyss (i have 8 stars on floor 7 and 0 on floor 8, deff need to up dps be4 resuming)
I still have 100 fragile resin, might start blowing some on 6.
I am just unlock inazuma at Ar 45 😂 I enjoy exploring monstad until 100% and I just want to collect archon since I am quite new to game and do not have any 5 star except venti and qiqi where I just pull 😢
Dont use primos on aquant fates . They are more common

Appreciated your comment about using the Trials for characters. My testament to that was when I had the opportunity to try out Beidou. For the longest time my only Electro was Lisa. But when I pulled Beidou, I quickly swapped her into my reaction team, because my play style pace sync's with her perfect parry nearly 9 out of 10 times! It's insane! Since then I pulled Keqing and Kuki, and despite running them, I still get more play value with Beidou on my Teyvat Adventures.
Regarding the two weeks detox, I performed that on my account already, I would add, that performing the detox during the last week on one banner set and the first week of the next helped me to overcome that need to pull.
About my only disagreement with you Shark, remains the same; and only because I am happy with the team already pulled. Two of my favorite party members run on the Paimon's Bargain Starglitter Page, so I do spend a certain number of Primogems on the Weapons Banner to freely pull them for Constellations. That's an easy thing to do when the banner showcases a bunch of 4 stars weapons you can rank up and have the party you WANT to run with.

For me its just thinking about how fun it is to spend a lot of primos at once to guarantee a character i like, rather than wasting 160 primos just to get disappointed (3 stars).

Playing a character you really like makes all the different for us all.
At one point I did a trial for kokomi's rerun. And to everyone I know's astonishment, I prefered QIQI over her. I love kokomi more than barbara, and I still wanted her for utility, but I am waiting and saving for kazuha.
Not for his power, even tho I have venti (which I LOVE playing with) and sucrose, but because it felt good to play, even on my friend's AR 12 account, I loved his playstyle.
THIS is why I am saving, abyss 12 can wait for all I care, my wallet need that care ;)
I think Kazuha is the most fun I've had on a character in the game so far. Considering he's a 1.X character, his playstyle has really held the test of time.
There are a lot of secret quests like the sitting on rocks or fortune ones.

i'll be honest i really don't understand the big deal with saving instead of wishing whenever, coz realistically as a f2p unless you play hours every day or save for months at a time you can't guarantee a 5 star, and 50% of your 5 stars will be random anyway, and you lose literally nothing by wishing since pity is shared between both banners and lasts indefinitely. if you have one particular 5 star you're absolutely dying for then yh you can build up a stockpile to guarantee them on their rerun but it's dumb luck when that character might come out so you may as well just wish and be content with who you get coz you will eventually build up a decent collection even if your luck is awful. just play the game for fun and realise you don't need specific characters to enjoy it
The thing that doesn't save is the 50/50... I mean between reruns. If you tried for a character banner once and made it to pity and lost the 50/50 and you try on a later banner for the same character and you won your last 50/50 in between for a different you have to gain a loss in between for a guarantee or have good luck. Having the ~180 wishes for hard pity twice saved, gets you over the luck barrier towards the safely guaranteed side. Otherwise you could get to the point where your pity is usefull only for other banner or not at all for a long time if you want a specific character because the banner ran out before you could get the character you wanted...
Now we need a video on how to get 100k Starglitter. :)
Being new to genshin, your videos have been really great. Just as a tip/request tho, please either do a flashing image/lights warning at the beginning or just like.... Not include them... I'm epileptic and I know there are plenty of people who play that are too so it's not great to only be able to listen to a video that needs to be watched just in case there is that flashing.
If you don't spend money or too much time on the game save primogems to do 10 pulls on standard banner remember it's permanent banner and you will get something good even if it's 4 star and yes one more thing max out your current team that you play with don't bother with leveling up all the characters it's a death wish if you do that. From adventure books you will get artifact for all elements and yes I know all about crit rate, DMG and EM, ER but if you want to have fun and don't want to feel left behind by world levels increase do that. These guys know a lot about genshin mechanics and can give a lot of usefull tips to be stronger real fast but at end of it all it depends on you it's your game your world take it slow as much as you want and keep exploring and go with what you have if you don't spend money or too much time then forget about dps and support just focus on your 4 characters team that you play with and max them out because other characters you will get in time but having a already maxed out team helps you stay ahead of the world level and learn the bosses mechanics and don't panic as soon as the boss does something crazy believe me each of your characters can tank the damage you if build them and stay ahead of the world level. This is for super casual players who don't play 6-8 hrs a day. Rest of it has been said in the video. Feel free to correct me.
Not me getting Yae Miko at 40 pity as a F2P player after putting a team of 4 electro characters and going in front of sakura tree then using their E skill and doing a ten pull just 4 days ago, i'm proud of me.
5 star charcter quest also lead to new Boss fights and 4 star weapons. Raidens gives her boss fight and Kahzuha gives you a pretty decent sword.

I'm 88 days into the game. Watched your guides around 3rd week. Now I have saved 32k primos, 25 intertwined fates, used 80 wishes only on Nahida, which I paired with gathered along the way c3 Kuki, Barbara (no other hydro ;-;) and deNdro traveler and deal 25k dmg on AR45 :D. I would really want to See Kazuha in 3.7 and maybe Wanderer. I could use them in Benny/Xinangling team and finally have a good second team for tower. I might have only one 5 star character righT now, but I feel I'm managing very well, thanks to your video guides SharkH3art :)
nahida is best 5 star in the game imo, so a good one to have if you can only have one :) as archons generally are.
i suggest raiden next rerun, she makes a great pairing with nahida for hyperbloom

I write all my wishes down at each banner to get 5 sar characters I really need. That was the way I have get Kokomi and Raiden.
In sumeru theres a character that gives free 60 primos every day or smth you don't even have to do anything but use dendro on plants in front of you

3:00 quickstarts may help you while you climb the archon/story quest wall but it's not a good idea to be slacking on it. For example the current Sorush event does not have a quickstart option as far as I know, you need to have the quest done.
I'd add one more suggestion: do not spend primogems on replenishing your resin. Withstanding the urge to buy some extra resin for 60 primogems is as valuable as finishing one archon quest.
And one thing you didn't mention here: keep weapon banner pulls on leash. While getting the character you want may cost up to 28800 primogems, getting the weapon for that character may cost up to 38400 primogems. That's a lot. So unless you have enough primogems for the trip and are willing to spend them on it, don't really pull on the weapon banner for any particular weapon, just spend a few pulls on it when you have some spare primogems and there are nice weapons on the banner. That way even though they may not come as fast as you'd wish, you will build a nice stash of 5* weapons eventually.
If you save those ~30k primogems, go pulling and win 50:50, good. You got what you wanted and you still have plenty for the future. If you lose 50:50, give your pulling another thorough thought. Do you really need that character, or will you rather keep the rest of your primogems and the guarantee as basis for saving for upcoming banners? There may be something lurking that's way more valuable than what you're pulling for right now.
And in the end an opinion: while pulling whenever you got 160 primogems is definitely bad strategy, having 100+k primogems also counts as going overboard, just in the opposite direction. Those primos are for pulls, they do nothing when you just pile them up. Keep some reserve for characters you feel you may want in the future and spend the rest on characters you like today. The game gives us about 8k primogems per month (including 1200 from 36* Abyss), you can keep that on mind and plan your budget in advance.
The Oculi is great at first but it just becomes a pain in the A since inazuma... imo making more is just plane annoying.
I returned to the game just cuz of Kazuha.. so now I'm watching this video to get primos for Kazuha

I think Shark is not telling the entire truth here. The way this game goes is: You can roughly pick one five star every two patches. When You have two accounts You can pretty much own all the characters You want on two accounts combined. Its hard to tell how the character plays out for You until You get it and test it on you account. The thing is its not about being patient and saving primos to get the character You really dreamed about. What Shark really does is having all the characters but on two accounts. For example If I had other account I would not go for c2 Raiden, I would have used my primos elsewere, but the truth is c2 Raiden does different things(basically can be a real hypercarry) than C0 Raiden and there is no way to expierience C2 Raiden without spending a lot of primos. What I mean is Shark may not buy primogens but he is paying with his time because he does same events, quests, and exploration on two sepparate accounts. First time may be fun but the second time is more like overtime.
So how to get as many primos and characters as Shark did? Make two accounts and play the same thing twice to get double the primos and then call it F2P, but don't mention it takes 8 hours a day to do it.

I already did Monstadt but I think keeping the memories of the game through the videos while also being able show people my reactions, opinions, love for the game and discuss about it? I already think it's worth a shot but I'd like to hear what some others think to make up my mind.
I did not know about the tea pot and set pieces for extra primos. But there is so much to keep up. Guess I can figure that out now.
