No. They simply took the stairs when the lift malfunctioned. After all X and Zero are fine in Command Mission.
This game surprisingly had good voice acting in the game.
Fr, only problem with the voice acting imo was Gigavolt Man O' War's level, the damn bastard didn't shut the hell up, it's like, as annoying as the X7 bosses

The worst part of X8 is that 15 year old unresolved cliffhanger.
Put in like 60 hours of replay and that ending, as cool as it is, hurts every. freaking. time. :(

Sigma turned evil because of the Maverick Virus. That caused Sigma to go berserk and lose control of himself after being overwhelmed with power with each defeat fueling the evil inside him until Megaman X8. I like how they made Sigma a demon in Mega Man X8 showing his malevolent personality he had to begin with.
Timmy Menard poor sigma. He used to be a great maverick hunter. But the virus corupt him, that's why he's gone maverick.
This whole mess was all because of the malice of one Albert Wily.

Lumine is literally Sigma, Lumine was a bit cryptic but outright says that all new generaton reploids by default has Sigma's DNA and therefore is part Sigma.

Believe me, this scene is best when one of the characters gets stuck in the Vava / Vile fight, so when Sigma says, "It's all over!" There is a dialogue with Sigma telling X / Z / Axl: "wallowing in despair and despair," the other character who got stuck with Vava comes in and takes you out of Sigma's hands, that's cool.
"We possess the power to go Maverick at will!"
... So you "new generation" types are finally on par with X and Zero is what you're telling me?
No, he's saying that new gen reploids can willingly think and act like a Maverick without being corrupted by the Sigma or Zero Virus. I think its because they posess the data of all old reploids including the ones that went Maverick like Sigma.

Being called maverick always is related with a Reploid which breaks robotic rules made by humans, but this cases was related by a programming flaw, but for Sigma and new generation Reploids their case are at will

Surf Surfing there was going to be a Megaman MMO, but was cancelled. It was closer to MMX however, as the only MM class you could use was based on Duo, the others where based on X, Zero, and Cinnamon, plus most seen bosses, while based on Megaman, where updated to look closer to MMX

I swear, that sigma battle is one of the the epic battle I've ever seen, plus it makes it even more epic with that music.
Let's hope Sigma is not coming back this time.

This is why I could never beat a Mega Man X game. The bosses always have like 20 final forms and I'm always close to death after the first 2 forms.
+Apples and Oranges It is all about the rhythm and keeping an attack pattern. Notice how he does not let up even when his attacks are doing no damage. He is doing it on purpose to make the computer follow a specific pattern (which works better in old X games admittedly) but in this case it allows him to be there at the point when he finally is vulnerable.

You can jump on to the Zero and then ZX series if you wanna continue but they are kinda metroidvania type and really hard games.

I thought that X8 ended in such a way that the series needed to continue, but this is a point that doesn't leave any major points undone (Like Classic 10). Though Classic 11 and X9 would be appreciated, the only loose end that I know of in the Megaman Multiverse is for the end of Legends 2 and the missing Legends 3.
But if Bomber-Man can escape the pits of the dormant game franchises; than I haven't lost hope for Megaman just yet.

Pretty interesting how the final boss isn't Sigma for once. I won't comment on the excuses they use for having that be the case, I will let you make of that what you will. It's just pretty wild how Sigma reminds me of Dracula in this game. Seriously, before you make it to his throne room, you literally climb an epic set of stairs. And then Lumine himself comes in, drops his little twist, and bombards you with EX attacks! He has control of all the main Mavericks' best powers at once. And then he becomes an angel robot! So, this became Baynoetta, all of a sudden, then?
Lumine makes for an epic final boss. FINALLY IT'S NOT SIGMA
In all my years of loving this game I've never seen that text in the end about the copy chips and Dr. Light's message. X8 was a beautiful follow up to X7 and a beautiful game in of itself.
Lumine's final form somewhat reminds me of Nu Gundam, Strike Freedom Gundam and Gundam Double X but merged together......

Lumine's final attack is bs. I feel like it's impossible without using X's Icarus blaster along with a final double attack as soon as Lumine's shields are down. I've tried using Zero's Z-Saber to cut down the shield and it just doesn't work. ;-;

I think it was supposedly just a bad translation, because in the Japanese version they refer to Lumine as "she".
If X9 and X10 were 16bit like MM9 and 10 were 8bit that would be awesome
The best combination of neutral armor is: Helmet part H, Armor and Buster part I, legs part H
The fight with Lumine was perfect, however I think it should have been used to serve as Sigmas final defeat. Oh well, maybe they will get it right if they by some miracle make Mega Man X9.

Fight boss with icarus armor. Recomended charge shot 2/3 to attack more effective. Don't use maximum charge to fight boss with icarus armor. But for the other enemy like army maverick, you can use icarus maximum charge shot.

Ok, I think mega man x8 is an epic game, but I don't get why sigma looks so black and demonic, like it looks cool, I just wasn't expecting sigma to look more of like a demonic lord than a slightly humanoid and bulky warrior
cause x8 is for whatever reason is loaded with biblical reference, like MMZ and ZXA is about Norse myth. Noah...Jacob... Gateway also look like a church. in this game, Sigma is Belial and Lumine is Lucifer
The only X game in which Sigma doesn't have multiple forms (copy sigma doesn't count as it is an another entity).
The moon seems to be a popular place for Capcom to dump characters.
lumine made a big deal about axl's operating specifications and that he couldnt possibly cause an incident like sigma but that lumine wanted such a thing despite all the collateral damage it entailed because of the planned obsolesence of old generation reploids. thus it is hypocritical to support lumine but not support craft in megaman zero 4 when he blows up all of neo arcadia as collateral damage to try to take out dr vile.
