(the rest of the dialogue,i find, is the same for both dificulties).

The fact that X and Sigma were voiced by the same VAs that did Domon and Master Asia in G Gundam just makes X and Sigma's showdown all the more sweeter.
BassDS Plays Fun Fact: Most of the armor upgrades through out the series are actually based on Gundam like designs in mind. This is more apparent in ones like X's Ultimate Armor. There is also the fact that in The Day if Sigma OVA unlocked once you beat the game, there is a scene where X actually uses a move strikingly familar to the Shining Finger Attack.
Honestly, looking back at Maverick Hunter X. It's kinda sad that this series never got more than one game. I honestly wonder how this new storyline would've went. Had Capcom not shut the project down on this. Would've loved to see a remake of X2-5 and by God and remake of X6. (Cause lord knows that game needed it)
Well, Sigma already proved that X is strong and he accepted his defeat instead of saying he will come back to fight him once again. As for Zero... well... he told X to continue being a maverick hunter while passing away. So, I don't think if they will come back on the next upcoming remade sequels.

+StormC9A It's a shame, really... Sigma himself was once an honorable Maverick Hunter until he was infected by the Maverick Virus (aka Dr. Wily's Roboenza) and turned Maverick, setting out to spread the very virus he originally fought to destroy.
X4 was about X but also about exploring Zero's past. X5 was also about both of them but even more than that it was about bringing back the conflict between Doctor Light and Doctor Wily despite both being dead. Then the Zero series was ironically about Zero fulfilling Doctor Light's dream despite being one of Wily's creations.
Yeah, MHX was supposed to be about getting X into picture again, but MHX2/3 were dropped by Capcom... A shame really. X deserves more love, he's a very complex, multidimensional character, my favorite in the series. Much better than the classic 'edgy lonely badass' that is Zero. Even though I like him as well.
the Command Mission voice cast was amazing, im so glad they came back for X8 and Maverick Hunter X. Mark Gatha as X and Lucas Gilbertson as Zero just fit the two so perfectly. Jeffrey Watson as Axl did a bang up job too, shame we only saw 2 games with him as Axl's VA.
One Of the COOLEST Mavericks in the Game (My Favorite Being Boomer Kuwanger) And NOT REALLY Evil, As he Tried to Stop Sigma BEFORE X But Failed Miserably.
When you know that the Sigma Virus was originally created by Wily makes you think that the mavericks only hate and want to fight X because the Virus recognizes him as Dr. Light's creation. In the end every maverick's motivations and reasons are taken over by Wily's hate, kinda sad if you think about it, once you get that Virus there is other choice but to follow Wily's orders to destroy. Even Sigma is a victim.
Mark Gatha (X) and Lucas Gilbertson (Zero) are such amazing voice actors. Even though I think X8 is one of the best games in the series, I think one of the best things it blessed us with is the amazing voice talents of these voice actors.
I think Maverick Hunter X's ending is more bittersweet than the Snes version. Not to say that the original was bad, but the credits music kinda break the mood. Maverick Hunter X, however, made me feel bad for Dr Light and X. Mostly for Light because he created X, but he wouldn't be alive to see his project in action. X, on the other side, witnessed betrayal and loss for everyone and everything. He even lost Zero in this messy chaos. It makes sense that he wants to defeat Sigma. And seeing the games (not to mention Megaman Zero), it just got worse.

This makes me a bit sad that we never got a full MHX series. It very much differs in tone from the original games. The original story was pretty dark and hopeless. X keeps winning incremental victories, but each time the damage gets worse, to the point where X is struggling just to keep humanity alive. In contrast, this game's ending had a slightly different tone. It's still dark, and sad. But it very much paints a picture.of hope, where X still has the chance yo set things right. I wonder if we would've had a different outcome to the story in an MHX series.
What frustrates me the most is that it would be an even better tie into the Zero series with the premise that the Maverick Virus is no longer obligatory to make Reploids berserk. Maverick Hunter X was suggesting that "Maverick" was only a term to refer to troublemakers, but it was never tied to a virus specifically. In the Zero series, the virus is not even present anyway so this automatically improves every single enemy in these games because their feelings are genuine desires of rebellion and revolution, not mindless destruction. Would be the PERFECT pay off to an already incredible story between Classic, X and Zero.
All of these voice actors are great, I especially love X, Zero, Sigma, and Storm Eagle! The way X talks with Sigma, how Smug Sigma sounds, the way Zero talks to X before he dies, and the conversation between X and Storm Eagle are amazing!

Surprisingly yes and Mighty Number 9 used a much newer engine on much newer hardware that is much much more advanced than what was available on the PSP and PS2... Both this and x8 have fantastic graphics by comparison.
x8 actually had pretty damn good graphics, even better than Irregular Hunter X I think although people did not approve the character designs and also the design of the Ultimate Armor which is the same as the Neutral Armor... The Neutral Armor looks arguably more mature and minimalistic than previous X armors and while I do think it looks awesome, it would've been cooler to have another design for the Ultimate Armor...

These cutscenes are kinda funny. I mean. The alternative cutscenes show that the 8 Mavericks were completely obedient to Sigma. But the cutscenes from this video imply that some of the Mavericks had their own intentions and were following Sigma for that. Does any one of you guys had the same impression?

The Megaman X story is more than a little fucked up the more I think about it. Being forced to turn and kill once friends on a whim over them being labeled mavericks... Some of them were wrongly labeled, and had no choice but to fight or die. Sad situation.
That part of him is extremely strong especially on x8. Anybody that seemed to act different than the normal were labelled as Mavericks, and since X is more willing to fight in that stage, it became pretty much a "surrender or die" situation. It really wouldn't be a surprise to see X becoming this self righteous dictator who X-ecutes any reploid who is different from the normal (like what was originally planed on the Zero storyline), now that I think about it.
Zetto Vii Nah, X would never go insane, he just has a short temper for injustice and villany. X was supposed to be MMZ antagonist because Inafune just hates X, and want to shove Zero down everyone's throats. After all, he designed the character.

Actually some of the X4 bosses were Mavericks. Split Mushroom and Cyber Peacock were infected by Sigma, and Magma Dragoon was also a Maverick (hinted to work for Sigma like the first 2 considering Sigma's logo is below his health bar when you fight him, which the other 2 do also have, but not the other Repliforce bosses).
Back in last year (January specifically) I had just introduced myself to the series, and while I've never played this game, I've played X5 onwards but man Zero left the best first impression I could've wanted. I dunno it's just epic. It's hard leaving good impressions so well done! Seriously I love seeing MHX and X5 again
I know its just a reboot of the first X game but its completely different thanks to the voice acting which in improved it in so many ways mainly giving a clearer picture as to why these other hunters joined Sigma ......it really was a shame about storm eagle because he gave the impression of a mentor proudly watching his students and even though he fought X in the end I think he was proud of his conviction not to mention when he fought Launch Octopus's body I think it might've been more impactful if it had been Storm eagle instead although I think in the storyline Zero was closer to Storm Eagle
I really like how in this game they put more emphasis on X which Im very glad about. I feel like the other X entries focuses way too much on zero that it left X with little to no spotlight which kinda felt jarring since the series is named after him afterall. My boi X deserves better 😤

The 8 Irregulars/Maverick cutscenes change depending on difficulty. Zero's cutscene changes slightly depending on if X gets the buster upgrade from capsule. Zero's parts are better than the capsule upgrade but that means holding off on charged special weapons for awhile.
He was moved up to SA rank around X4-X5. Around X5 he and Zero were legit the only Hunters left lmao (that actually hunted, not taking about staff like Douglas, Alia and Signas).
I miss the the X & Zero monologue from Snes here. How Zero explains to X he hasn't reach is full potential yet, and one day be just as if not more powerful then Zero.
Still surprises me how they never made a sequel to this. X2 and 3 definitely need this treatment plus I wanna see how they flesh out the other villains like the Counter Hunters and the Nightmare Police/Doppler.
It still make me laugh that X is classified as a B - Class Maverick Hunter at the beginning of all the games yet is basically the father of all reploids.

Yeah after X4 it was all about Zero until Axl came into the picture in X7.
X4 was about X but also about exploring Zero's past. X5 was also about both of them but even more than that it was about bringing back the conflict between Doctor Light and Doctor Wily despite both being dead. Then the Zero series was ironically about Zero fulfilling Doctor Light's dream despite being one of Wily's creations.
Yeah, MHX was supposed to be about getting X into picture again, but MHX2/3 were dropped by Capcom... A shame really.
X deserves more love, he's a very complex, multidimensional character, my favorite in the series.

the Command Mission voice cast was amazing, im so glad they came back for X8 and Maverick Hunter X. Mark Gatha as X and Lucas Gilbertson as Zero just fit the two so perfectly. Jeffrey Watson as Axl did a bang up job too, shame we only saw 2 games with him as Axl's VA.

When you know that the Sigma Virus was originally created by Wily makes you think that the mavericks only hate and want to fight X because the Virus recognizes him as Dr. Light's creation. In the end every maverick's motivations and reasons are taken over by Wily's hate, kinda sad if you think about it, once you get that Virus there is other choice but to follow Wily's orders to destroy. Even Sigma is a victim.

Mark Gatha (X) and Lucas Gilbertson (Zero) are such amazing voice actors. Even though I think X8 is one of the best games in the series, I think one of the best things it blessed us with is the amazing voice talents of these voice actors.
I think Maverick Hunter X's ending is more bittersweet than the Snes version. Not to say that the original was bad, but the credits music kinda break the mood. Maverick Hunter X, however, made me feel bad for Dr Light and X. Mostly for Light because he created X, but he wouldn't be alive to see his project in action. X, on the other side, witnessed betrayal and loss for everyone and everything. He even lost Zero in this messy chaos. It makes sense that he wants to defeat Sigma. And seeing the games (not to mention Megaman Zero), it just got worse.
-Was never interested in the voice acting business yet gave some of the best voice work in the Mega Man franchise just so he could afford med school and become a doctor

This makes me a bit sad that we never got a full MHX series. It very much differs in tone from the original games.
The original story was pretty dark and hopeless. X keeps winning incremental victories, but each time the damage gets worse, to the point where X is struggling just to keep humanity alive.
In contrast, this game's ending had a slightly different tone. It's still dark, and sad. But it very much paints a picture.of hope, where X still has the chance yo set things right. I wonder if we would've had a different outcome to the story in an MHX series.
I would haved LOVED that....
What frustrates me the most is that it would be an even better tie into the Zero series with the premise that the Maverick Virus is no longer obligatory to make Reploids berserk. Maverick Hunter X was suggesting that "Maverick" was only a term to refer to troublemakers, but it was never tied to a virus specifically. In the Zero series, the virus is not even present anyway so this automatically improves every single enemy in these games because their feelings are genuine desires of rebellion and revolution, not mindless destruction. Would be the PERFECT pay off to an already incredible story between Classic, X and Zero.
All of these voice actors are great, I especially love X, Zero, Sigma, and Storm Eagle!
The way X talks with Sigma, how Smug Sigma sounds, the way Zero talks to X before he dies, and the conversation between X and Storm Eagle are amazing!

Surprisingly yes and Mighty Number 9 used a much newer engine on much newer hardware that is much much more advanced than what was available on the PSP and PS2... Both this and x8 have fantastic graphics by comparison.
x8 actually had pretty damn good graphics, even better than Irregular Hunter X I think although people did not approve the character designs and also the design of the Ultimate Armor which is the same as the Neutral Armor... The Neutral Armor looks arguably more mature and minimalistic than previous X armors and while I do think it looks awesome, it would've been cooler to have another design for the Ultimate Armor...

These cutscenes are kinda funny. I mean. The alternative cutscenes show that the 8 Mavericks were completely obedient to Sigma.
But the cutscenes from this video imply that some of the Mavericks had their own intentions and were following Sigma for that.

The Megaman X story is more than a little fucked up the more I think about it. Being forced to turn and kill once friends on a whim over them being labeled mavericks... Some of them were wrongly labeled, and had no choice but to fight or die. Sad situation.
I like out off all the Mavericks in this video, Spark Mandrill was the only one who not only intimidated X, but also probably made him think.

You know, for someone who wants to create a world of peace and equality, X sure is quick to frivolously throw around the "Maverick" label.
That part of him is extremely strong especially on x8. Anybody that seemed to act different than the normal were labelled as Mavericks, and since X is more willing to fight in that stage, it became pretty much a "surrender or die" situation.
It really wouldn't be a surprise to see X becoming this self righteous dictator who X-ecutes any reploid who is different from the normal (like what was originally planed on the Zero storyline), now that I think about it.

+Destruction Corner From what I read, Storm Eagle, only joined Sigma after Sigma beat the piss out of him. A guy like Chill Penguin on the other hand, joined out of Jealously towards X.
Actually some of the X4 bosses were Mavericks. Split Mushroom and Cyber Peacock were infected by Sigma, and Magma Dragoon was also a Maverick (hinted to work for Sigma like the first 2 considering Sigma's logo is below his health bar when you fight him, which the other 2 do also have, but not the other Repliforce bosses).

Back in last year (January specifically) I had just introduced myself to the series, and while I've never played this game, I've played X5 onwards but man Zero left the best first impression I could've wanted. I dunno it's just epic. It's hard leaving good impressions so well done!

I know its just a reboot of the first X game but its completely different thanks to the voice acting which in improved it in so many ways mainly giving a clearer picture as to why these other hunters joined Sigma ......it really was a shame about storm eagle because he gave the impression of a mentor proudly watching his students and even though he fought X in the end I think he was proud of his conviction not to mention when he fought Launch Octopus's body I think it might've been more impactful if it had been Storm eagle instead although I think in the storyline Zero was closer to Storm Eagle
This PSP remake’s cutscenes still hold up well to this day. =) It’s a shame it hasn’t yet been ported to today’s home consoles yet. =(

The 8 Irregulars/Maverick cutscenes change depending on difficulty. Zero's cutscene changes slightly depending on if X gets the buster upgrade from capsule. Zero's parts are better than the capsule upgrade but that means holding off on charged special weapons for awhile.
