- Demonstrating how Tesla's driver monitoring system for the Full Self-Driving Beta works. By penalizing users for using their phone, the system incentivizes drivers to pay attention and keep their eyes on the road. Meanwhile every manually driven car has their driver on the phone, with no driver monitoring system. This is an under appreciated benefit of city streets ADAS.

The cabin camera really does feel super solid at detecting when I’m distracted. Even if I’m just like searching a song on the infotainment it will get onto me which is annoying but I completely understand and am glad that it works so well because I do still try to be attentive while driving. However, I do really think it would be absolutely fantastic to have an option (for people that have used FSD beta for 15,000 miles and understand the risks and what the car struggles with and have seen how it can behave) that allows them to turn off the steering nag. That will make the riding experience soooo much nicer and I can’t wait! Even if the camera has to be much more strict I totally see that as a great compromise and if someone doesn’t feel the same then they just use the not steering nag free option and have a more lenient camera.

Do you have a special version of FSD that doesn't require that you put a small amount of torque/wiggle the steering wheel?

Actually I can't tell you how many Tesla creators demoing FSD are going over the speed limit and it's right there on film.
Why are they not ticketed or arrested?
This is not to say that Dan O'Dowd shouldn't be arrested... he should.

This shit is so annoying. I keep my sunglasses 🕶️ on , then just move my phone up near the screen or just behind the steering wheel that usually tricks it. What happens if you block the interior camera?
