    “We can’t fight change” that line alone is crazy. Especially knowing how he always tried living his life as an outlaw. He was basically the last of his kind of a western relic. Being pushed aside for the new age of man to become more civilized. That’s why he was always on the run, he couldn’t escape the inevitable. Brilliant that I think about it.

    • @crazycar4015
      @crazycar4015 Рік тому +87

      Ikr. It's insane to hear him say that in 1911, meanwhile he wouldn't even hear it back in 1899, when Arthur was telling him the same damn things. "We weren't the ones that changed", "we got sloppier than the town drunk", "we're thieves in a world that don't want us around no more." In the end, Dutch finally gives into the truth. That the world he was born into was not the same as the one he was currently existing in. The west was dying. Maybe the next couple of decades might see a few range wars and smaller criminal outfits like Bonnie and Clyde, but soon battles for land and money would be fought with pen strokes and lawyers, not guns and horses. And those who raged against the changes would be hunted by far tougher federal agencies than just the private Pinkerton agency. But Dutch's failure as a leader and person to see that and adapt, and the failure to care for those under him, leads to all his best friends being killed or betraying him as he loses his mind. I don't think Dutch started out as a bad person, but the constant losses and fights he undertook made him increasingly paranoid, and people like Micah just fed it. Until he couldn't trust or care about anything anymore.

    • @Slimpicken
      @Slimpicken Рік тому +15

      @Crazycar 401 well fucking said. A story about men outrunning the inevitable of time. It would be cool for if we got a red dead redemption 3 where its now 1925 and the outlaws must become more like a mafia...maybe a what if type of game.

    • @crazycar4015
      @crazycar4015 Рік тому +11

      @@Slimpicken Either that or a third game where we play as Jack fighting as a hired gun in a range war. Jack has had a front row seat to the death of the old West. Now he has one to the birth of the new. For those who find themselves in an ever changing world, they choose to fight it with a mixture of new and old ways. Lawyers and court orders in town and masked gunmen sneaking through the forests by night would win the day for the craftiest rancher. Pretty much a lot of influence would come from shows like Yellowstone/1923 for this lol. Jack basically is a surviving relic of those old ways, learning to cope with the new world. Actually thinking about it, Jack himself might turn Beecher's Hope from a minor ranch to a major regional one through the third game, instead of just as a hired gun.
      Alternatively, the next game could show him working for Sadie and that bounty hunter woman from RDR2 Online, bounty hunting in Mexico and South America.
      Or lol, the third game could be even further back in time, playing as Dutch, Hosea, or a younger Arthur, showing where the cracks in Dutch's character might have actually started. Also showing what it was like before civilization in the west. Maybe, you could make a difficult decision at the end of that last game to save the gang and change the course of their history for the better, at a costly price?
      Well those are just some ideas from me anyway lol. I don't even know if they'll make a third game or if it will even feature the original Van Der Linde gang.

    Imma make this more depressing, watch:
    In Dutch’s insanity, that he’s clearly aware of, in his final moments the reason why he is making the same monologue as back in the past is because deep down he understood and regretted everything. His insanity is only trying to drown the pain. And as a result, in his final moments he is freed, and trying to re-enact a moment from back in the days when he has his ‘son’ Arthur by his side. With those tearful puppy eyes of his that you can see during his last words.
    Clearly understanding everything that went wrong, and obviously loving Arthur, he is sending himself off the same way as when he made it out with his son Arthur before. Thinking of him being right by his side. ❤️

Al final nos mostraron el último momento de vida y lucides de Dutch recreando uno de sus úiltimos buenos tiempos con su hijo. De un simple lider de una antigua pandilla del viejo oeste destrozado por el paso del tiempo y su inminente final, a un padre que en su último dia de vida aceptó y comprendió las palabras que le dijo su hijo antes de morir.

    Dutch’s speech with Arthur next to him was almost the same thing, only it was about how long he’ll continue to fight nature, and never be forced to change. His speech to John was how he was done fighting change, as he had done so in the most downhill way possible. He accepts that he’s going to die, and wants John to know that despite everything, he may as well go out on his own terms, even if he was still forced to.

    He was reliving the moment in his life that really stuck with him, when he should've realized he was wrong but didn't, his subconscious telling him "this is the moment you fucked up " and him speaking out that moment, it's the depiction of him losing his mind, he's letting go of his sanity , he gave up trying to control his thoughts because he realized that the one who betrayed him was himself , all the pride blinded him from see the reality of what was really happening and he didn't want to see that hence the gravity and nature quote, leading him to a life of endulgence and sin. And that's really the worst thing anyone can do to themselves, like many of us nowadays, life should be a balance in order to be peace, politicians are only chaos creators as we've been seeing since the time of the Roman's, we just let them take complete control by making us dumb ass and yet people choose not to see that which is scary to me, people are allowed literally by law to basically create they're own reality (or so they think they can) but in reality it's all an illusion to hide the truth . Yall know what I'm talking about and if yall don't, what's been happening the past couple of years(2-4), Would've never crossed any of our minds to see happen withing maybe 30 or Even more and other things like the crazy laws being created should've never even been mentioned in congress, it's just really bizarre to see our destruction and yall like that. (Gender role laws and all the crap that split people apart) I feel like Dutch actually I feel like no one saw that in the end the story was about Dutch more than anything we were just seeing the point of the victim that stuck with him for the rest of his remaining life which was Arthur, this is what makes this game the best I have ever played. we're supposed to think and see the bigger picture of what ur choice create and where they can take us or away from us. Life is karma life is Ying yang. Life is a balance that should be in equilibrium, if it's not it'll find the way back to its natural state, like the stars that's why they shine and when they're not in equilibrium they self destruct. Everything is a cycle in life . The meaning to the game is just so great to actually put into a simple sentence, for me, like life, like love, happiness and vengeful hated

    Dutch really was an awesome character ofc he was nowhere near perfect but for the most part (in the beginning at least) he did the best he could and saved lives of many people. Who knows how short lived Arthur, Javier, John and more lives could have been. You see that being a leader in any role, movie, game, real life and all they have a lot of pressure and get critiqued the most out of all the characters. They have a lot on their shoulders, at the end of the day he had a good heart ❤️ he was an amazing character

    • @AfromanRants
      @AfromanRants Рік тому +4

      Honestly the *only* option they had for RDR2 was a prequel tho, imo. There really was no way to make it a chronological sequel, given the first game is literally about the fall of the old west. Plus, world war 1 begins at the end of the first game, and there was really nothing left of the “Wild West” after world war 1 ended irl. A direct sequel to Red Dead Redemption would just be a call of duty game, given how likely it would end up that Jack fights in WW1. The only logical conclusion was to explain how the gang ended up that way.
