Hey guys, sorry that the video quality is absolute trash. I was trying something new for this video and I don't plan on doing it again lol. The next video will have the same video quality you are all used to. Thanks for watching. I appreciate every single one of you
I mean, as the character evolved I feel like they made his personality more match the higher pitched voice. But the original Cosmo personality and voice is the absolute GOAT imo! Thanks for watching, Zelel! I appreciate it :)
Cosmo and Wanda's dynamic was one of my favorite things about the earlier episodes and it really made the later episodes less enjoyable when Cosmo got more childish and Wanda didn't even seem like she loved him anymore.
Fun fact about the Chip Skylark episode, he’s voiced by (as well as his singing voice)Chris Kirkpatrick the founder of Nsync (the late 90’s/early 2000’s boy band for those who don’t know). Also when he says,”the album comes out July 24th”, he’s referring to *NSYNC’s third and final album Celebrity of which was released on July 24th 2001.
I love the lesson "A Big Problem" teaches, because as Timmy learned in the end being a kid is a pretty good deal. because as we all know you're only gonna be a kid once so you might as well enjoy childhood while it lasts, and the Shiny Teeth episode is another one of my personal favorites as well, "Shiny Teeth And Me" is one of the most iconic songs in the Fairly Oddparents series!
R.I.P. Mary Kay Bergman (Timmy's OG voice actress who Butch Hartman made a disrespectful "joke" about). I think Cosmo's original voice was supposed to be a Phil Hartman impression
One thing I forgot is that Vicky hints that she'd hope to discover the source of the shenanigans that happened on her first day. That honestly could've made for a fascinating element, giving Vicky more agency than being a tormenting babysitter. SURE we had Crocker for that but imagine if both Crocker and Vicky teamed up to try and expose his secret, only for her to find out, but potentially refuse to expose the secret seeing how pathetic and obsessed Crocker is with ruining his life and finding fairies. Now granted this would be a totally different series if that was the case, more akin to Danny Phantom and less able to be pulled off by Butch's writing style, but...I dunno it would've been a way to shake things up without adding superfluous characters and keeping things interesting without flanderizing Vicky into essentially a serial killer.
@@iceboyuno1324 iirc this was so late in the game it was riiight before Sparky showed up. By then Vicky was as much of a violent psychopath as Wanda was a nag. Any interesting dynamic between her and crocker was vastly simplified.
I think it would be really interesting to have at least an episode where they did team up to find evidence, but before they managed to, Crocker proved himself so pathetic Vicky decided to work alone. Maybe Tootie speaking in hypotheticals about how it would make her sad to see Timmy lose his fairies would make her give the hunt for good (if we go by the original shorts’ characterization of their relationship where Vicky actually cared about her) It would explore the idea, but not drastically change Vicky’s role.

Well well well, an hour and a half long well done commentary video about a beloved childhood cartoon that I can come back to throughout my day? I don't mind if I do!
I wouldn't call Fairly Odd Parents one of my favorites, but it's kind of impressive how much it's held up in my adult years. My absolute favorite FOP episode would definitely go to "The Secret Origin of Denzel Crocker" since it gives us a backstory for Crocker and an understanding of his motivation for wanting to catch fairies that was foreshadowed in "TransParents" and followed through on in the Abra Catastrophe movie. The Chip Skylark episodes are also some of my favorites with "My Shiny Teeth & Me" being a definitive jam that might or might not have inspired me to dress up as him for Halloween one time... 5 years ago. A couple memories I have of "That Old Black Magic" are posting a clip of the president saying "I'm going to Escalatorland!" when Joe Biden won the 2020 election, and using the "When do we get to the ride? This IS the ride! YIPEE!" moment to tease a college friend of mine for having to write an actual senior thesis while I put on a recital which music majors do as the equivalent. "Deja Vu" is also an underrated classic with the cat gag always cracking me up every time. And I just now realized while watching this that the Crimson Chin's plot in "Chin Up" is basically Buzz's existential crisis in Toy Story. As for season 0, I've never been the hugest on those episodes, but a couple that I remember liking was the pilot and the episode where Cosmo has to be bad for a day. Cosmo in that era of the show was actually really clever compared to what the show did with him going forward.
Oh boy, a feature length video. No wonder, there's so many classic FOP episodes I remember from my childhood I recognize when browsing Paramount + I'd be shocked if any were missing 😆
I'd love to see you do a vid for invader zim if you dont already have plans, I feel like these two shows go hand in hand for me because they premiered together
It's been brought up before but RIP Mary Kay Bergman. A prolific voice actress on par with the likes Tera Strong and Jim Cummings. For those of you that grew up with these cartoons I encourage you to look into the voice actors and actresses that brought these characters to life. You may not know their names and faces. I'm so happy that you mentioned Gilbert Gottfried❤️ He has always been one of my favorite actors and when I heard his voice as the evil dentist Bender lol, I almost cried🥲 It was a nice surprise, because I hadn't seen or thought of that particular episode in forever, I forgot about him being in it. Thank you.
The original voice of Timmy was Mary Kay Bergman. She committed suicide in 1999. She was the original voices for all the females on South Park among other noted voice roles. Butch Hartman has already said shitty things about her & her death. Put some respect on her name.
I had no idea!!! That’s so messed up that Butch Hartman would do that and I definitely have lost respect for him now that I know that. Great to see you add My Shinny Teeth and Me Shawn. Such a great episode and for it to have Gilbert on it made it one of the best episodes of the series

I think I’ve got my personal stuff figured out though, so fingers crossed that wait time will be a lot less lol. Thanks for your support, my friend!!
The Christmas episode is very nostalgic for me. Not only because I watched it a lot, every year as a kid, but a few years ago when UA-cam had the bootleg cartoon live streams that likely led to the child content crackdown here, but I’d be on there every night, especially around Christmas and that episode would loop around more than the others, as well as the crash nebula spin-off episode, but now I have double nostalgia for that Christmas episode
I have way too many favorite episodes. The ones that stick out to me was The Good Old Days where Timmy and the godparents go into the 1930's black and white rubberhose style animation era. It was quite fun and is still relevant in the modern era thanks to Cuphead (Video game and cartoon included), Bendy The Ink Machine and Spinel from Steven Universe The Movie. Fun Fact about this episode. The foxes that Cosmo and Wanda turn into is a reference to Foxy, one of the forgotten 1930's cartoon that "ripped off" from Mickey Mouse. From what I heard, there was an episode from Tiny Toons that did a similar premise. It was called Two Tone Town. The black and white characters were also a nod to Foxy.
I'm 26 now, and I'd imagine that it's been at minimum 15 years since I watched this show, so you'd imagine how surprised I am that I remember these so incredibly vividly.
Whelp. You're wrong. That VA is absolute untalented trash. And not only that, they didnt even try. And not ONLY only that, the voice just sounds like someone trying to do a kid voice for, quite literally, the first time ever since they were a kid. Theyre bad and youre bad for thinking they arent.
Mary Kay Bergman (Timmy’s VA in the Oh Yeah shorts) was really good. I’m sure you’re a child or a troll but don’t be rude. Especially since she committed s*ic*de…
Although i will say that the animation style can be appreciated. I can understand different opinions on which animation is favorable. But the voice actor? No. The only reason youd say something like that is to be 'unique' or because you felt bad for them. There is no two sides, the og va is the objectively worse voice for the character. Youre wrong about a cancelled childrens cartoon about fairies, admit it villian!!
I always thought the difference between timmy being older in the first episode vs later was because he wished to be an adult in the first one but in the other he wished to be a teenager since hes vickys age
Im just now finding out about this channel, and i've binge watching your videos for the last week. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do another spooky season series this year! Thanks for the awesome content.
man I kind of forgot how great FOP really was. i attribute that to how much is said nowadays of Butch and his faults and it's kind of a shame that all that drama clouded my memories. every episode you picked is classic and nostalgic as hell, i haven't watched any FOP in a decade or more so this was a really appreciated vid. keep up the great work bro!
The other animals took longer to raise from the dead because they probably didn't have roots forcing them up like eddy did. Eddie's box came up from all the veggies shooting up, he didn't dig himself out of the ground like the others. You'd thing that mostly decomposed bodies might take a bit longer to dig. Since you wanted to look into it, boom, explained. Your welcome.🤙🏼👍🏻
Leaving a comment before I watch simply because fairly odd parents was a favorite of mine from Oh Yeah cartoons and I remember being pumped for the show. Im interested to see how someone younger than me viewed this series.
The lack of furniture and decorations in the house remind me of my own interior decorating skills (: this show had such an impact on me, similar to SpongeBob. Appreciate your videos
My favorite two episodes of fairy odd parents was is when Timmy accidentally brought the Crimson Chin Arch Nemesis the Nega Chin into the real world and in order to defeat him he had to get all the different version of the Crimson Chin from the comic books to defeat him. My other favorite episode was the follow up episode where the the Nega Chin wanted revenge on Timmy so he team up with Timmy Arch Enemies to Destroy him. These episodes are definitely a love letter for fans who love comics and superheroes.
I am listening and watching this reminiscing my childhood while taking care of my own children. Hahah thankyou for making this it's an instant trip down memory lane
I love your videos and this video is hitting me in all the nostalgia. I was wondering if you can make a video looking into one of my favorite shows growing up, Wayside. It was a show I liked watching after school but I can’t find it anywhere and it seems like I was the only one that watched it growing up, probably because I wasn’t allowed to Cartoon Network as a kid so I only saw Nick and Disney.
I get why they had Daran Norris adjust his Cosmo voice but I preferred his deeper voice for his comedy and stuff. But I still appreciate the show as a whole. Thanks Shawn!
1:09:05 i always thought that part was so goddamn funny. "were off to read bedtime stories to underprivileged confused dolphins." like even when i was 8 i knew that shit was fucking hilarious.
I watched the whole video. You reminded me of so many episodes and why I have always loved this show so much. All of your videos are amazing. I'm addicted. You are truly talented. Thank you so much for sharing. I can't wait to see what you upload next. ❤️👏🏻
Personally my favorite Season 0 episode is Too Many Timmys. It involves Timmy wishing to have enough of himself to handle all of Vicky's torturous chores, and the sheer amount of Timmys makes Vicky lose her mind.
@24:00 they actually did have a all star game back in the day !!! if you haven’t played “Breakin Da Rules” your childhood wasn’t complete. Legit one of the best games in 2000’s! very underrated..
Yes, please make a video about Season 0! I would say that you picked absolute gold. I would only add maybe the one where we meet the Pixies, Channel Chasers(technically a movie I know) , and the Big Superhero Wish.
You’re the best, Anthony!! Thank you so so much for your support. I make these videos because I’m passionate about the topics, but it’s people like you that really add to the sense of value that I feel as a content creator. Thanks for being a part of my UA-cam journey.
11:09 this is really bizarre to see. In the Brazilian Portuguese dub, Cosmo and Wanda say something along the lines of "cool" when Timmy asks how he looks which I personally think is funnier, since it shows how adorably dumb those two were. The "eeww" works, but I liked the compliment better, and then Timmy disappointed when he looks in the mirror
they did. they did make a fairly odd parents video game with the Chester and AJ get sucked into VR plot. its called Breakin Da Rules. the "Power Mad" sequence was just renamed to "Vicky Virus" as they cut out all the real world stuff and just made it the game portion
I know Chris Kirkpatrick is not as iconic as other 'NSync members but he really nailed Chip Skylark. I never knew he would be that great for the role but he was
Great video This reminds me of how great the fairly odd parents used to be While I was never the biggest fan of the show I do have nostalgia for the early seasons much like spongebob seasons 1 to 4 and its first movie I guess my favourite moments from the fairly oddparents has to be the 2D movies and jimmy neutron crossover specials I really loved the channel chasers special and the film with flappy bob the clown brings back good memories.
Homie they have an Xbox game called ‘Breakin’ Da Rules’ & it’s obv for kids but it’s one of my favorite games ever. A similar level to this is included, as well as the one where he shrinks down to study germs, & one where he goes to Yugopotamia
Dude, right?! Like, the Crash Nebula spin off idea was interesting, but not enough to justify a green light for a series. But the Crimson Chin would’ve been a legit success in my opinion.
The weird thing about "That's Life" that bothered me was Timmy's wishes don't stick when it comes to competitions, as per Da Rules. Why was the Garden allowed? Would love to see a season 0 retrospective. I vaguely remember them and want to be reminded of the other eps. Nick stopped showing them many years ago. If youre gonna follow up this vid, you may want to talk about the eps where Timmy goes into both the Internet, and also Television. There was also a disturbing lack of Denzel Crocker-related content in this video. Not a fan of his shtick?
goddamn man. i LOVE ur videos that talk about shows that i used to watch. like when you start talking about a particular episode i instantly remember it. I just wanna take this second to thank Butch hartman for all the wonderful things he did for my childhood!
You’re the man, Steve! I really appreciate you commenting. It helps boost engagement and tells UA-cam to push this video to everyone else. Above that though, I’m just really glad that you enjoy the content. That’s the goal for me, to give someone that nostalgic feeling that I hold so dearly. Thanks again, for your support! :)
I can't explain how much I wish they'd kept Cosmo's original voice/inflection. Like, he's still funny, but the more "Laid back" pilot version was just so much better imo
I made it to the end, the vidoe quality is fine. If you could do season zero that would be awesome!!! Oh Yeah cartoons back in the golden days of Nickelodeon!! Very nice picks of episodes, one of my personal favorites is the episode Boy Toy where Timmy shrinks himself ot hang out with his Crimson Chin doll before he and his friends were about to destroy it. I love how we see Tutti gets payback for how Timmy treated her. and how the Crimson Chin doll suggested he gives him to Tutti, it was very sweet 💕
Hey guys, sorry that the video quality is absolute trash. I was trying something new for this video and I don't plan on doing it again lol.

I liked it too
Same! I always liked the OG cosmo more not to mention the way wandra and him act is just better
It’s cute how Timmy named his actual gerbil after the Crimson Chin’s imaginary gerbil, that’s something a real comic fan would do
My cat's name is Cymba, named after Simba from Lion King.
We all totally do it.
@@HazyJ28 the lion king isn't known as a comic, but you have the right spirit
i met someone at my job (im a table busser at a pizza buffet) who named their kid after one of the characters from monsters inc
My cousin named her three Shih Tzus after Goku, Gohan, and Chi-Chi.
I love cosmos' early voice and really love he amd Wanda's dynamic where they really love each other
Cosmo and Wanda's dynamic was one of my favorite things about the earlier episodes and it really made the later episodes less enjoyable when Cosmo got more childish and Wanda didn't even seem like she loved him anymore.

Thanks for watching this video and for supporting my channel! I really appreciate it :)
These are all the episodes I think of when remembering this show. I could even remember some of the dialogue. Great video!
I think that "Meet the Odd Parents" should have been included It's an "odd" entry in the late seasons that Is really good
Wishology Trilogy still my fave. Wish the show ended after that.
Neutral Ending: Wishology Trilogy
Good Ending: Channel Chasers
Bad Ending: The Fairly Odd Parents Reboot
Agreed
@@em5345- No, bad ending is Season 10. Worst ending is Fairly Odder.
@@chrisrockett5897 season 10 is just as good as season 5 season 6 season 7 season 8 and season 9
“I hope she means my face” my favorite line in the show
Yes! Please make the video of the Oh Yeah Cartoons! shorts! Been binge watching all your vids!
You got it, my dude!
Thanks so much for watching my videos and supporting my channel. I appreciate it so much :)
I love the long videos. Keep up the great work!
Thank you so much for your support and for watching my videos. I appreciate it :)
Thanks for triggering my Super Toilet PTSD!!! SO! MUCH! CLOGGING!
I always adored the Chip Skylark episodes, catchy songs and all around fun.
I'm loving these hour+ long videos
I am listening and watching this reminiscing my childhood while taking care of my own children. Hahah thankyou for making this it's an instant trip down memory lane
I love your videos and this video is hitting me in all the nostalgia. I was wondering if you can make a video looking into one of my favorite shows growing up, Wayside. It was a show I liked watching after school but I can’t find it anywhere and it seems like I was the only one that watched it growing up, probably because I wasn’t allowed to Cartoon Network as a kid so I only saw Nick and Disney.
17:30 that was HANDS DOWN my favorite episode!
holy crappoly cosmo's voice used to be so good... It heals my soul. The new one hurts it
"we're magic! oo!" wtf that is buttery
I get why they had Daran Norris adjust his Cosmo voice but I preferred his deeper voice for his comedy and stuff. But I still appreciate the show as a whole. Thanks Shawn!
the damn muffin episode pops into my head whenever I have a muffin
muffin, muffin, how about a muffin!
Oh man, I totally forgot about that episode!!!! I love it hahahah. Thanks for watching this video! I really appreciate it. :)
1:09:05 i always thought that part was so goddamn funny. "were off to read bedtime stories to underprivileged confused dolphins." like even when i was 8 i knew that shit was fucking hilarious.
Bro every time I see that shit I die laughing hahahahaha Timmy’s dad making dolphin noises fucks me upppp LMAOOO
😂😂 "Timmy, this bike IS as cool as you are!!"
I LOVE the Chip Skylark episodes. His songs are so catchy. It made it even better when I found out he was played by my favorite N'sync member ❤️❤️
Oh yeah!!! I definitely would love a video dissecting the Oh Yeah! cartoons I loved that show soooo much especially Action League Now
Look at those animals wallowing in their perfection lmao I love Timmy’s dad 1:23:03
I watched the whole video. You reminded me of so many episodes and why I have always loved this show so much. All of your videos are amazing. I'm addicted. You are truly talented. Thank you so much for sharing. I can't wait to see what you upload next. ❤️👏🏻
I loved those episodes too!! I also loved the episodes with Timmy's dad trying to win a trophy 🏆
The French surrendering is hilarious
24:06 They actually did make a game of this back in the day funny enough.
Yep, Breakin' Da Rules.
you're literally so underrated I hope I can create like you some day
Timmy: “I need a bike that’s as cool as I am”
Cosmo: “Timmy this bike is as cool as you are”
Roasted
I appreciate these long overview videos you do.
Personally my favorite Season 0 episode is Too Many Timmys. It involves Timmy wishing to have enough of himself to handle all of Vicky's torturous chores, and the sheer amount of Timmys makes Vicky lose her mind.
4:54 Cosmo's unflanderized voice! Oh it's been YEARS since I've heard him like that. Genuinely put me into a relaxed mental state hearing that voice.
These episodes were iconic
Thanks for watching and commenting, Drake! I appreciate your support :)
Love what you do man. I found your channel a few months ago and I look forward to all of your new videos. You'll be at 100,000 subs before you know it
You’re the best, Anthony!! Thank you so so much for your support. I make these videos because I’m passionate about the topics, but it’s people like you that really add to the sense of value that I feel as a content creator. Thanks for being a part of my UA-cam journey.
@@DuskTillShawn yeah well we obviously are in the same age range so I'm along on the ride with ya bud lol
I always liked the episode Channel chaser. Where they show all the different cartoons.
That’s definitely a fantastic episode.
Thanks for watching, Pam! I appreciate it :)
I was just wondering what you're next video was gonna be and I wasn't disappointed. Great job.
"Cosmo had a magnificent day" has always been so funny to me 😂
I love the animations in this show sooooooooooo much
The grey blob episode was one of my favorites
Dude, super bike saying super toilet to trigger Cosmo is too funny. 🤣
Magic, oooh
Magic, oooh
11:09 this is really bizarre to see. In the Brazilian Portuguese dub, Cosmo and Wanda say something along the lines of "cool" when Timmy asks how he looks which I personally think is funnier, since it shows how adorably dumb those two were.
The "eeww" works, but I liked the compliment better, and then Timmy disappointed when he looks in the mirror
Great video. Worth every minute watching.
Leaving out the Crocker episode is crazy but dope video
they did. they did make a fairly odd parents video game with the Chester and AJ get sucked into VR plot. its called Breakin Da Rules. the "Power Mad" sequence was just renamed to "Vicky Virus" as they cut out all the real world stuff and just made it the game portion
The Fairly Oddparents Pilot is similar to Phineas and Ferb.
If you pause at 1:00:21 you'll see that Timmy did not actually spell Chin wrong
I know Chris Kirkpatrick is not as iconic as other 'NSync members but he really nailed Chip Skylark. I never knew he would be that great for the role but he was
"And now I'll get my clearly doctored photos!"
Oh my GOD I forgot how funny this cartoon was!
20:59 true gaming moment that I love! Friend gloats about having one more life so they push him to level him out lmao
Great video This reminds me of how great the fairly odd parents used to be
While I was never the biggest fan of the show I do have nostalgia for the early seasons much like spongebob seasons 1 to 4 and its first movie
I guess my favourite moments from the fairly oddparents has to be the 2D movies and jimmy neutron crossover specials I really loved the channel chasers special and the film with flappy bob the clown brings back good memories.
Homie they have an Xbox game called ‘Breakin’ Da Rules’ & it’s obv for kids but it’s one of my favorite games ever. A similar level to this is included, as well as the one where he shrinks down to study germs, & one where he goes to Yugopotamia
its a shame we never got a Crimson Chin spin-off that would have worked really well guess it was because of Leno's schedule
Dude, right?! Like, the Crash Nebula spin off idea was interesting, but not enough to justify a green light for a series. But the Crimson Chin would’ve been a legit success in my opinion.
I’ve always LOOOVED Cosmos old voice 🥺🥺🥺
The weird thing about "That's Life" that bothered me was Timmy's wishes don't stick when it comes to competitions, as per Da Rules. Why was the Garden allowed?
Would love to see a season 0 retrospective. I vaguely remember them and want to be reminded of the other eps. Nick stopped showing them many years ago.
If youre gonna follow up this vid, you may want to talk about the eps where Timmy goes into both the Internet, and also Television.
There was also a disturbing lack of Denzel Crocker-related content in this video. Not a fan of his shtick?
Maybe it’s because he wasn’t the one competing.
I heard that one or two of the DVDs had some of the shorts
Crocker sucks, not as good as Vicky
20:28 is my favorite line from this show it cracks me up every time
Timmy’s parents were trying to plan a three-way with Chip Skylark…
goddamn man. i LOVE ur videos that talk about shows that i used to watch. like when you start talking about a particular episode i instantly remember it.
great video man i love any video about this show especially a long video like this! i would love another video about more episodes
I can't explain how much I wish they'd kept Cosmo's original voice/inflection. Like, he's still funny, but the more "Laid back" pilot version was just so much better imo
ha ha ha ha okay that was funny Timmy's dad "Timmy if your watching this RUN!" I mean Dusktillshawn you got met that was funny.
Hey Shawn did You find that funny?
I made it to the end, the vidoe quality is fine. If you could do season zero that would be awesome!!! Oh Yeah cartoons back in the golden days of Nickelodeon!! Very nice picks of episodes, one of my personal favorites is the episode Boy Toy where Timmy shrinks himself ot hang out with his Crimson Chin doll before he and his friends were about to destroy it. I love how we see Tutti gets payback for how Timmy treated her. and how the Crimson Chin doll suggested he gives him to Tutti, it was very sweet 💕
