What a splendid overview. I got the deluxe because I did not have anything like the other two pedals.....so I cannot miss what I never had. Deluxe is incredible. You rule, Sir. 😎😊♥️
Your demo videos are fantastic, quick overview followed by super detailed analysis. Plus, you are an absolutely amazing guitarist. These must take quite a bit of time to put together and I appreciate it. Though I'm sure it's not TOO hard to spend time with a Wampler pedal ;)
Great demo. I got the deluxe, now I don't use my tube Screamer as the pre boost works great! Maybe if I was doing more SRV, I would keep the TS808 on my board.
Hmm, they do sound similar but over all flexibility aside, I thought the Deluxe just sounded better overall. AND by a fair amount IMO. It makes sense as the amp, in this case the plexi part would be the most important to me anyway. Great review & discussion. Thanks.
I bought the Plexi-Drive not so long ago and LOVE it. I use it on it's own a lot. In fact it's on most of the time. I don't have a Tube Screamer but I do have a Banana Boost and I find it works great in front of of the PD, similar to you do here with the TS. The PD Deluxe looks and sounds nice. If I had the money I'd buy it too. :)
Killer demo I purchased one it's cool but I find it Boxy sounding for some reason? Never had that from an Overdrive pedal or distortion and I've had plenty. I just find it a little odd but its still cool. My Rockett Animal smokes it!!
Awesome demonstration Anthony. I was wondering if you could do a video on guitar maintenance (when you have the time). More specifically on re-crowing or dressing frets if of course you do that yourself. I find that playing with heavy strings 11-52 and a heavy attack really eats at my frets. I know this is partly due to how much time I dedicate to practising but I would really like a well informed, well structured guide on how to maintain my guitars playability, thank you. All the best
I think the Deluxe sounds better than the TS/Plexi combo. I just got the Plexi Deluxe. I stack it with a Fulltone Full Drive V2. It's sort of underwhelming and flubby, but with the Full Drive feeding into it, it is fantastic.
They also sell the new version of plexi drive in a mini pedal as well; just letting you know? But good demo none the less…and especially your playing:)
brilliant video very well explained I got the wampler plexi drive deluxe last year I've got a boss fender 59 bassman pedal to try to get a fender blues tone are there any other pedals that are better for this
But I'm not sold on the weird camera angle on your playing. I realize this isn't an instructional video per say but it's still nice to see the positions.
Anthony, how would you compare this to a King of Tone? I have a KoT with the high gain red side and like the similar, additional boost/ts type circuit. Do you think the od/dist side of the KoT is similar to the plexi drive at all? I play at home, through a 1 watt DSL1, as well as a vintage '59 Ampeg Rocket. Thanks
What power source do you use in this pedal PLEXI WAMPLER? I have placed several types of transformers and in all the pedal throws a background noise, in some very annoying and in others lower, I still cannot have an acceptable sound quality.
Sounds awesome as always.. I know this is off-subject, but can you help me remember something.. KWS version of King Bee rips off a SRV solo, I just cant remember which song its from. Help please! Thanks in advance -John
Sounds good...but with 200 bucks + shipping that's too expensive!! I can build a marshall plexi clone with that kind of money :)), and it will sound exactly like a marshall, not like a pedal!
i love your demos. such a raw intro adjusting knobs and stuff while playing
What a splendid overview. I got the deluxe because I did not have anything like the other two pedals.....so I cannot miss what I never had. Deluxe is incredible. You rule, Sir. 😎😊♥️
Good demo..love the deep explanations of how to use the built in stacking effects of this pedal. Great job.
Glad you liked it!
Aw man I need this pedal. Man it sounds awesome. That hendrix at the begining. Thanks for the info.
Excellent demo... thanks!

I sacrifice for the greater good.
Great comparison of the new and the old, nice job!
Man those Zexcoil pick ups are awesome!!! you can really tell the no hum thing really works!!!
Nice & tasty-& 'unafraid'-playing, (even unafraid of playing outta tune)... I always enjoy listening to you. Always.
Great demo. I got the deluxe, now I don't use my tube Screamer as the pre boost works great! Maybe if I was doing more SRV, I would keep the TS808 on my board.
I just ordered this pedal. Looks awesome.

wow what a sound and what playing!!! Superb!

I think I'm one of a few that likes my plexi drive original the least.
Batteries recharged? Welcome back! Thinking about getting the Plexi Deluxe this summer.
Killer demo I purchased one it's cool but I find it Boxy sounding for some reason? Never had that from an Overdrive pedal or distortion and I've had plenty. I just find it a little odd but its still cool. My Rockett Animal smokes it!!
How much gain you get in that Rockett Animal ?
Great explanations and great playing. Thanks.
Fantastic Demo

TOP demo ! Thanks
Amazing Tone and playing!!!
I love my Plexi-Drive, but didn't get on with the Deluxe for some reason.
Hendrix is the tone to strive for
what kind of amp is this going into?
Really really good demo.
Awesome video man!

1:36 so smooth.
Sounds amazing. Great video.

Wonderful sounds, what amp were you using?
Was that question for me Danny?? Lol sorry, can't tell!!! Peace and Respect
If you made this video yes haha.
Pretty cool tone. But hey, every Texas Blues Alley video has pretty great tone without any pedals. Does not mean much :p
There's a lesson in that statement :-)
Great video! can you please share the rest of your setup? amp, guitar, pickups, amp volume? Thanks.
Id like to see you do a video on the Black 65. Looking at one or both of them.
Faaackk.....I dont have 300 bcks to shell out. Nice demo.
Thanks!
Sounds great

Do you think that the deluxe would be better for a ‘68 Princeton which is a very mid-scooped amp ?
What power source do you use in this pedal PLEXI WAMPLER? I have placed several types of transformers and in all the pedal throws a background noise, in some very annoying and in others lower, I still cannot have an acceptable sound quality.
Wow! Do you have any straight playing online somewhere? I love your style, plus the overview of the pedal is great.
Sounds totally awsome. Im wondering. Can you use the pregain as a seperate pedal :-) Greetings from Denmark
Yes, it is independently switchable.
Nice
Hello! Just a question. Is the volume boost with the pre-gain channel enough to use it as a solo boost?
Sounds awesome as always.. I know this is off-subject, but can you help me remember something.. KWS version of King Bee rips off a SRV solo, I just cant remember which song its from. Help please! Thanks in advance -John
Shades of Couldn't Stand The Weather, Crossfire, and maybe even some Come On, Pt. III
Texas Blues Alley I knew you would know. Thank you!
John W West I recognize that bit too, but can't pin it down to a particular song.
Great demo. What guitar is that? And what pickups does it have?
hahah THIS IS HIM HAND, man/ This sound great him hand
does anyone make a fender amp in a box pedal want something like a tweed sound for blues or settings for this pedal into boss katana artist combo
F@# yes!!!
I have this pedal and his not sound like that so:
Whats your amp ?
Whats your bridge strat pickup?
Please and thanks
It's always like that with youtube demos. Heard The Dude od from Rockett. Horrible. Sounds just muffled even withe treble maxed out.
What mic setup is HERE?
Attenuating and "cutting" mean the same. What you want to say is passive FILTERING.
Hi, great demo!! were you using neck pick up throughout this demo? it seems too flabby to my ears, or maybe its just me?
Please evaluate every pedal made in exactly this same way.
Seems pretty reasonable, lol
Sounds good...but with 200 bucks + shipping that's too expensive!! I can build a marshall plexi clone with that kind of money :)), and it will sound exactly like a marshall, not like a pedal!
I agree that's what my last post was getting at I can't keep spending $250 on these pedals.
At last!
Deluxe
you wanna like use humbuckers?
Mmmm 🤔🙁🐗
