Great idea. Here's a suggestion to make it work as intended. Where you have the two bins bolted together unbolt them and trim the lip off this face of each bin. Then bolt back together and you should be able to clear the end of the bed. Also, turn the bolts around on the outer edge of your bins so the head is on the inside. This will help from potential injury grabbing items out of the bins.
I bought a Ram in Sept. and I had to pick up that Rough Country bin..... and I am loving it...... the best thing to have for your truck box when you have a 3 inch lift..
Been running the same bins but with a Harbor Freight ratchet bar to prevent them from sliding back. Bang for the buck, has been great. Going to look into that cargo net idea that someone mentioned here for when I have my tonneau cover rolled up.
I have something similar, but instead of using straps, I just used the board channels built into the bed, and slide a cut 2x6 into the channel to act as a stop for my baskets. I can easily pull out my baskets and slide in 5g gas cans when needed. Keeps everything from sliding around, and keeps everything close to tailgate.
I added the same bins to my 1500 a few years ago..I also ended up adding a pocket cargo net across the front of bins & tailgate. This way it prevents stuff falling out of open storage & now have a pocket to put other things. Great jjob on the video
It's a pretty cool idea. I have the side bed panels from built right industries so I would have more mounting options on the sides I may have to look at building me one of these
@PRviewsvlogs I figured that must be the only reason you couldn't slide it out. It looks really good though and you're right 50 versus 180 is pretty good

Brilliant! I’ve been wracking my brain for bed storage in my Gladiator and the solution has been right under my nose! Thanks for the video.
You are welcome

Just paid $30 for 2 bins. Made my costco trip a whole lot easier. Thanks
Glad to hear it helped.
Great idea! I use collapsible crates I got from Costco, with a board cut to the bed length behind them.
Nice might look into that .

Oh the pocket cargo net is a good idea.

I use 2 large Jet Sleds to accomplish the same thing. Good ideas on yours also.
this is a great idea but where did you use the 10" bolt and I'M going to do mine the week end after Christmas thanks for you great Idea
If you watched the video I used them to hold both the boxes together
Great Job!
Thanks!
Can you not slide it out all the way like the rough country box Because it's too wide to get past the edge of the box?
No , it won’t slide all the way out cause it’s to wide , but for $50 i don’t mind also I have the 60/40 tailgate so it doesn’t bother me
@PRviewsvlogs I figured that must be the only reason you couldn't slide it out. It looks really good though and you're right 50 versus 180 is pretty good
Thinking about cutting one and melting it back as a smaller box to fit where it can slide out. Almost worth the try at 16$🤔
I have a plastic welder and I was gonna try this
@@andyespenan5919 yeah the inner grab handles are not doing any good so that would cut off 2 to 3 in probably
