@Mao Zedong, actually, geladas are baboons, the biggest required features that make a baboon a baboon are the long snouts, bulbous rumps, and elongated canine teeth, therefore drills and mandrills are baboons too, a baboon is any monkey that constitutes the tribe Papionini, there are nine extant species of baboon within five genera, the five extant genera of baboons are Therocebus, Lycopithecus, Papio, Theropithecus, and Mandrillus, Therocebus contains just one recognized species being the Kinda Baboon (Therocebus kindae), Lycopithecus contains two extant species being the Yellow Baboon (Lycopithecus cynocephalus) and the Chacma Baboon (Lycopithecus ursinus), Papio now contains three extant species being the Guinea Baboon (Papio guineensis), the Olive Baboon (Papio anubis), and the Hamadryas Baboon (Papio hamadryas), Theropithecus contains only one extant species being the Gelada Baboon or simply Gelada (Theropithecus gelada), and Mandrillus contains two extant species being the Pink-Chinned Baboon or Drill (Mandrillus leucophaeus) and the Sphinx Baboon or Mandrill (Mandrillus sphinx), out of the five extant genera of baboons (tribe Papionini), the monotypic genus Therocebus is the most basal, then followed by the genus Lycopithecus, and then followed by the genus Papio, with the most recent split being between Theropithecus and Mandrillus.

lol no wildlife tours for me. I work with different municipalities on marketing and promoting events. Some of the content I post on my channel isn't always an event it's things that I like or experienced. For example this video was a day at the zoo for me as you see I didn't read what they were I just assumed chimpanzees when they were clearly baboons. I hope I didn't offend anyone in the wildlife world if I did i apologize.
@@Legend_carter You don't offend anyone, dude. You just look really uneducated, which isn't a good look for a guy who works with different municipalities on marketing and promotions. Well, everyone's allowed to make mistakes, no big deal!
These are Geladas, not Chimpanzees...Chimpanzees are apes. Geladas are baboons which in turn are monkeys. There are many significant differences...also, is this at the Bronx Zoo?

Would the Zoo not have posted the name of the animals that are cruely put behind glass for the amusement of stupid humans? Wondering if the baboons are smarter then the persons who titled this video?

The most amazing thing about this video is how chimpanzees turned into baboons even before the video started!
Lol thank you!
Crazy, right? In fact the transformation was so quick I never saw it happen! Even my dogs knew they were baboons! Cheers! 😃
