The Ash Heap is not the most appealing place for a camp but I've enjoyed building here today! In typical fashion, no sooner had I finished this than I had an idea for another cool take on the build that I may have to try out at some point. We might be seeing another build in the Ash Heap, in the non-too-distant future!
Nice build, I didn't realise you could attach walls to the sides of foundations. Another tool in the toolkit :) Bethesda really need to add more standard world objects (like sinks) to the build menu, not sure of the logic behind not including them as the assets are already built, but I were to choose, what they really need is some more roof and wall options.
I agree with you there. More options would be welcome. I'd really like to see pre-built objects that look like collections of junk items too. It seems like the best way to incorporate junk decoration, without overloading the servers. I'd guess that's the reason for the limited toolset, to minimise server load, (at first anyway). There's also the microtransaction angle. They have to fund these updates somehow.
I have been using Welsh as a spawn point due to good enemies mole miners, super mutants, lots of loot from those creatures and a train station. I’m seriously considering moving my camp near Welsh. I’m still debating. Nice video, I enjoy these videos for ideas that I can steel with pride. Lol thanks Darth.
That sounds like a pretty effective way to keep your cap supply up. There should be some good spots down there to build and you probably won't even need a gas mask.
Theres a staircase behind Welch station that leads to a little pre-existing coffee stand that might be a good spot to set up in that area, plus you get a free cat there lol I love Welch too , the whole ash heap is under appreciated I think.
Thanks! I'm not sure what you mean though... The only issues I've run into is that removing wall decoration objects can be difficult and the climbing effect triggering unintentionally.
@@DarthXionGames Yeah sorry I wasn't very clear, that climbing effect (force field) can actually block parts of your base in extreme cases. Especially when used in conjunction with the, buggy as hell, double block staircase. If you place double block stairs next to a full height foundation, depending on how it is aligned, you either cant get up the stairs or cant access the space behind the stairs.
Yeah, at this stage most players are the good types. They've stuck with the game through adversity so despite their frustration sometimes they tend to be a pretty decent bunch. 😊 I'm glad to hear you enjoyed the video!
*You're* having word issues? Mate, last week in Asda I called down an aisle to my gf as she walked away - " Don't forget the *f@cking cat* "... We don't have a cat.. the dog would eat it. I was trying to say *cooking fat* ( although I actually meant *cooking oil* ) My gf is the one that went red while I earned several tuts from nearby strangers and the evil-eye from a young mom herding two kids... I shrugged and chuckled, not even bothering to correct myself 😏 I am the zero-shits-given man
Really liking this format to your video(s)... it's upbeat.. I just wish the creative process was as quick as your fast-motion replay here! I've been away a while, need to catch up on past vids...
Its funny really, this video I struggled to get the words out, yet for the patch notes video i sat and talked for nearly an hour with no difficulty and could have kept on going. I've been trying new things for a bit - I changed editing software a couple of months ago and the new program makes it much easier to do interesting things, (though my pc chuggs on occasion)! We've all seen a lot of builds by this point so keeping it fresh and interesting is a challenge.
I wish he could look at my camps I have about three different builds for three different characters all within the same locale I'm on PS4 but have no idea how to get in touch with him he actually feature one of my friends camps called kezmany2k.

Nice multi-level build, though I hate the imaginary force field that can popup when you use foundations as walls like that.
