love how they made useless shelves good job Bethesda
That’s what I was gonna say. Who makes a game where you have plans for things to put on shelves, and then takes away the ability to do so. 🙄🤦🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️ and then makes shelves that are bare with nothing on them. Good job badthesda 😎
It's because Bethesda knows how glitchy their games are and are counting on people finding a way through the glitches xD
@@devintaylor7049 yeah it wasn't any hate btw i love and played all bethesda games
Not to mention they’re whole building system is out of whack compared to Fallout 4, really feels like a major downgrade with the building in this game.
The fact that there’s a 30 minute tutorial on putting items on shelves is very Bethesda
I wish we could just put stuff on shelves without all the work a rounds, after all that is what shelves are for. ! I would also like to put items on tables especially the Garden patio table with the big umbrella on top ,
It just works. Somebody said that one time.
To make things a little easier for peeps. You can hide the conduit completely underneath the shelf by using a flamethrower trap to destroy the shelf, turning it invisible. Then place your stacked items inside the “ghosted shelf”. Go to your CAMP bench and repair all items.
You must specifically use a flamethrower? I haven't found one yet (nor I have the plans).... Thx!
Good video, thanks, but honestly, Bethesda, why do you have to make stuff like decorating a shelf so damn complicated?!
Idk why we can’t just grab and place like fallout 4 i had a whole table with all the balls lol
idk if you know but this is an online game ;)
At least a table with balls don't move...
It would probably make the game lag more
@@HK-tn2ny I think a better way would be a "nail it down" mechanic where in camp if you clicked the item it would stay there and no one, but you, can pick it up
They might change it
Love it, but I need more CAMP budget.
for 2400 atoms you'll soon be able to build more stuff! a broom and a chair
*xD*
*WE* need more, don’t let liberty prime hear it tho.
Tear it down and start all over, even find a new spot because it's fun to experiment with new locations.
I build on water and submerge my signage that welcomes visitors to my bar
If your willing to Lose Multplayer, Fallout 4 has a great building limit. There are a few Camp Budget exploits on Fallout 76 but they are tedious and patched quick usually.
Glitch it with the circus trailer
This is perfect! I finally have a method for getting objects onto the shelves, I just wish Bethesda didn't decide that wall shelves wouldn't be in the game except for a 300 atom purchase that I can't find on the shop or through opening a ticket on their site. Bethesda, please put in the wall shelves from fallout 4 as a schematic, even if it's something nutty where you can only get the schematic at a gold bullion vendor at least make it possible to acquire.
It's amazing you can put the radio on any bench, shelf, table, anywhere... all we want is that for items 😆🥴
In the seventies, it was common for people to put decorative shelf paper in the kitchen. I think that it had a powder that killed roaches or some kind of chemical that didn't get on your dishes.
OMG, I forgot about that stuff!
Woah that's awesome! Building settlements in FO 4 has always been my favorite activity, besides exploring the world. I often thought that my shelves look so empty in my camp! This is a great idea and tutorial! I just wish my camp budget wasn't maxed already LOL
I actually like the rugs showing on the shelves, it doubles as a shelf liner. I just wish I could use junk items for this, like the bird decoration and lighthouse souvenir. I know I can put them in display cases, but I would like to know if there's any way to get them on shelves instead.
I’ve got some bare shelves and I’ve only used this once before, had forgot how to do it tbh so the timing was perfect!
Great tips...
This video was very helpful. I didn't have the power connectors but I was able to use the little octopus and welcome mats to get good results on the open shelves.
Thanks for the excellent tip! I will definitely need to start using this. I have a shelf in one of my rooms that is crying out for some decorations.
I hate how i have to even look up how to place things onto a shelf in the first place, but amazing video either way, very helpful
This method still working?
Game is so bugged that you can place two rugs on a conduit but cant place walls in line with the floor 😅
This was a good video. Sometiems I need the step by step that other guides skip over. Thanks for that. Keep up the fo76 vids!
Glove this video. Just found it channel through youtube algorithm and I must say u have a new fan. Can't wait to watch all ur backlog. Keep it up. And ty
I’ve been using the pressure plate method but I saw TNG do this and he pointed me this way. So, thank you! Amazing 🤩
2 years later and I'm just now finding this video but it has been so helpful. Unfortunately I don't have a lot of items but it's still fun to practice doing it. I just wish I could hide the conduit afterwards. Thanks for the informative video!
Thanks for this video, I was wondering how to do just this. I do need more Camp budget and I don’t feel like I have a huge camp.
Awesome video, I do not know why Bethesda cannot make it so we do not have to do tricks to put stuff on shelves.
Very helpful and complete tutorial. Excellent video! Thank you!
Great tips and tricks breakdown. You can also use the sink method. It is less budget heavy but probably just as finicky when placing items on shelves. Almost every time when you place your camp there will be a sink spot. If you try to place an item there it will sink down but still be green. After you build it the item will pop up out of the ground. Sometimes you might have to move things around in the sink hole until you find the green zone.
Basically you place items on the top of your shelf that you want on the bottom portion of your shelf. Move the shelf into the sink spot and the items will pop down. It takes a bit of planning and getting the right increment of depth is the finicky part. Rotomon Gaming has a couple of videos going over this on his channel. To me this is 76's rug glitch and it is amazing. 😁
Great video! That's much easier than drop merging, and less time consuming. A note for build budget, build small and decorate heavy. The reason I say this is because even though things like floors, walls, and roofs seem to take less budget than a lamp, trying to fill a large area and make it look like someone actually lives there is very budget consuming. So, for my camp, I have the flying fortress prefab, which is essentially 1x4, and its perfect. Then right beside it I have my guest house, which is a 1x4 building with a front porch, and the house has everything, all work benches (including a power armor station), cooking, sink, bedroom. I always try to think, "If this was my real wasteland house, how would it look?" I feel like that line of thinking always gets me the best results. Wow, that went off on a whole other tangient didn't it? My bad😅
Thanks, this will really help me with future camp designs
Thanks for the tutorial! Super helpful and informative. :D
Thanks for the video! Very well explained. Totally wanna do this.
Great video, will be trying this out tonight 👍
Wow! thank you so much! I hope I have enough patience to do this but those shelves look amazing haha ^^
Thanks W.D., I bookmarked this.
Thanks for the tips! Really usefull
very cool ive only used the shop shelves and can get top bottom and some small items on the mid shelve this is very great show and tell
Thanks for the tips. I have always wanted to fill those empty shelves.
Thabk you so much for this! I managed to do this with a regular conduit and one mat! Also if you pick up the item you want on the shelf and wiggle it around a little bit you should be able to place it back down on the shelf, then you can pick up the conduit and mat seperatley and leave the item on the shelf with zero mat 😊
Thank u lady been looking for hundreds of hours to put things in my shelf 😃
Thank you for showing this!!! Can’t wait for the return of Let’s Play Fallout 76 also! U guys are great 👍🏼
Thank you for your video!!
It's very useful
Super helpful . Thanks
Bethesda see ppl doing this and doesn’t add it in as a feature is what pisses me off
I always wondered how to do this. Thank you so much 😀
Looks like collecting all those clean items is finally gonna come in handy, thanks!
This only works with items you can build in your camp, not with items that you find in the world.
Thnx for another GREAT tips & tricks WD 🙂👍
Instead of the game creators making it easy for the users, the users create an own way to outsmart the game creators lack of love for detail. Crazy
This helped so much!
Love the tutorial, thanks 😊
Great explanation! Thanks!
This. Is. Awesome! Thank you for sharing.
You sound like such a genuinely nice person, wishing you the best =)
Awesome! loved ur tips! thx a lot
That was all news to me - thank you!
Mean while at Bethesda: shelves will be a great way to decorate peoples homes let them have several different types oh yeah that’s great Mr Howard they can’t put items on the shelves unless they go for a really long and overly complicated way . Todd : so it just works ?
thank you, made it so easy
I love it thanks for the help
A friend of mine showed me how to do this with a manikin and a pressure plate/ You can move items from the top, down to the bottom of the shelf.
didn't know about this and I have been playing since the B.E.T.A. thank you :D
I bounce objects from the top down into the shelves. Yes some camps dont have a bounce area but this is a much more complicated way of doing things.
Many Thanks!
Great video! I didn't know we could do that! Thx! Keep on posting more Fo76 videos plz ;-)
thank you good job
Excellent
This is very cool , i appreciate that
VERY meticulous. I really like the attention to detail.
Great video 👍🏻
thank You love. This also works fine on the PC version.XD You got my SUB also:)
Also thank you, now i know how to put stuff on shelfs. Problem today for me is my budget is almost used up completely.
Nice tips for beginner like me. Btw where did you get the metal shelves plan? Im looking for 2 weeks now and no luck
You make me want to rebuild my camp with this trick
Just a few hours decorating?
*laughs in fallout 3 and 4mm tables.*
Thank you
Love this ! thank you, gonna spend a few hours now making home decorations in game :D
You're a genius!
Can conducts be connected like in a square and embedded underground the same way in Fallout 4 with a pillar.
now that I think about ur camp is amazing 😮 & mine is missing too much of that 🤔
I think it's amazing to see things like this and all of the items and space being used. I made a tiny structure with 3 vending machines and I've been at my build limit for a while now. If I did a video of my camp I'd have a quarter of what is in this bit I cant add anything else to it. Does your build limit change when you get to a higher level?
Yes, your build limit increases slightly as you level up, but only a little bit. But keep in mind, I never build turrets or a lot of other complex things. If you have any turrets, they take up 10% of your budget each. And water purifiers and crops take up extra space too. So if you want a lot of decorations, consider cutting back on the more expensive items like that.
Thanks
So cool
It's ridcoulous you can't just put stuff on the shelf 😂
For people moving camp a lot, can we make plans of these ?
Where did you get all the nicknacks from? Were they all on the Atom store at some point or other? That's one thing I really miss from FO4, being able to place absolutely anything I pick up. My hubs and I stopped playing for two years or so, so I feel like I'm missing a whole lot of camp craftables. =/
You are, and they were.
Thx
I don't get how shelves can't count as display cases. Think of it like this.....certain things can be put on certain display cases because of the size of the item. Small shelves get small stuff, large ones for large & so on.
Nice job, but can you blue print each decorated shelf?
This was a method used in FO4 to overpass the blocking of wires trow walls. Goin to try the TVs inside walls and much more. Plz just reply if you still have your account :) Ty and hf out there!
Damn it I thought this was a work around for storage space. I have had to sell probably 8 thousand in caps of bulk steel by now.
You would of thought they would just letting you loot stuff and place it on a shelf without all this messing about. We are in 2020, lol maybe the next gen consoles will have this. 🤣🤣🤣
Fallout 4 had it, I don't think it's a technical limitation but a design choice related to the multiplayer aspects of the game.
So kool thanks. I love your voice.
Nice video and helped answer 1 of questions 🙂. My other question is ow do people put things like there teddy bear collection on these shelves since you collect them and not build them?
You can't unfortunately. The only way to date is display cases.
You need conduit plans and welcome mat plans; she doesn’t tell you that to start with
I subbed:)
Question: Is there a way to put items such as Jangles the Monkey & Giddyup Buttercup on shelves using this trick or are you only limited to just putting items from the Atomic Shop?
Only items from the atomic shop are displayable THIS way.
Display cases have limits, but that's where you can display your junk.
Very nice camp. But my big question is how do you make wallpaper apply to window tiles?
Wall paper is only bugged when it comes to applying it to the cabin build set windows. I believe it will apply to all other build sets. You can still apply it to the cabin windows if you turn the window into a wall, apply the wall paper, then turn it back into a window. It may or may not stay applied after logging off. It stays on my cabin, but I've heard other people say it comes off when they log off.
@@WastelandDovahkiin Thanks! It doesn't stick when I log off using the trick you mentioned. I'll have to try other build set walls.
I dont get it that this isnt a option in the game and that it takes so much space. We need unlimited space and dont tell me bethesda, it doesnt work, cause it just works
anyway to stack a display case on top of another display case ?
I don't know the exact Nuclear Winter level for the blue box, but incase anyone is concerned, I'm only level 10 in NW and I have it. So it really is low :)
Also, if you're not the biggest fan of PVP, hiding in bushes is a relatively efficient way of leveling up in that gamemode
Is there a way to put the bears and mr fuzzy around the camp, not in a display case?
Not if they are junk items you found in the world. You can only place items outside a display case if it is in your camp build menu.
Very cool, as new to FO 4, and only on level 24, how do you compare this and also Vegas, to 4, is it something to be excited to look forward to play?
I recommend you watch my recent Q&A video, as I actually answer this question in there. :)
Is this only for things you can make in camp mode and not junk item's?
omg i watch about 10 mins of this and realized it wasnt a joke wow never get that time back
