I get 17 mpg, mixed towing 7 ton trailer, highway and city driving, all balanced conditions, keep your ford's and gm's, I've had them all. Loving my 23 2500 limited cummins
I heard there’s two transmissions for the Cummins , 68Rfe supposedly being ass . You had any issues ? I’m going to be driving this truck till the wheels fall off, or at least I plan to and plan on getting one in the upcoming months
After having multiple rams I tried the 2024 Duramax AT4 a year later I’m picking a limited mega cab up this weekend and couldn’t be happier to get back to it
I am buying a 24' Ram 3500 this week and have decided to get the 68rfe. Own both the 68rfe and Aisin trucks ranging from 13' to 18' It's for are concrete flatwork company. we don't tow over 26,000lbs- non CDL drivers. Feel that the 68rfe is the way to go for reliability to 100,000 miles. It's been stressful making this decision. At the end of the work year the company needs a safe - reliability rig
I like all the big 3 HD trucks. I like the looks of the GMC’s & the solid build & neat features of the Fords but I’ll take the growl of the Cummins, the BEST exhaust brake, & the room of my MegaCab any day. Never say never, but I don’t think I’ll ever own anything but a RAM. The interior of my Longhorn LTD is the nicest of all HD trucks I have been in. Of course it’s all the personal preference of the individual.
@@inspiringrex1198 I’ve had it for just over two years with 31,000 miles on it, 18,000 of which are long trips I have made. Just under 1,000 miles towing 40 ft fifth wheel, which it does great & with ease. The rest is daily driving between city & highway. Reliability so far has been excellent. Very happy with it. Extremely comfortable for those long drives. Multiple times have driven 1,000 miles in a day with just gas & BR stops & I get out feeling like I drove to the store & back.
I bought this truck on Friday at Helfman CDRJF in Katy, Texas. My MRSP was about $1000 more. The discounts off MRSP are significantly better than the price he stated. The truck in sooo bad ass.
Fords torque is impressive. I’ve never owned a ford but I would consider it under warranty. I’ve been with GM my last 7 trucks but I still like the pre emissions cummins
I just tot back from a test drive and to my surprise, this thing was way better than I expected. The only downside, as you mentioned, was the 1800 lb payload.
Ram needs to step up their short bed on their HD to match the ford and GM. 6”4 is weak for HD. They also need that new Half ton cab. That middle hump is intrusive
Just FYI, there is a reason behind the weight ratings on those stickers, and why less is more. If they make them higher, then most normal trailers behind it with standard 7000 lb tandem axles will technically require a CDL regardless if it's loaded up or not, including RVs. You could be snagged for it at a weight station or something if you don't have one. This is why I buy 2500 and not 3500. A 3500 with the air ride goes over the CDL limits, which limits the trailer size I can legally put behind it (sans CDL). With the numbers on that one, I think you could have a tandem 8000 lb axle trailer and be good.
I think Ram sales have decreased for 2 reasons. 1 no refresh. 2 payload. My first GMC had like 2590 in payload. That is just my thinking on the Ram sales. The diesel engine in the Ram is awesome.
@@supporterofsanity I agree that price doesn’t really look that good and Ram is pretty much way out priced their HD trucks now. More so than GM trucks. Which have the best prices.
I'm really confused about your point about the floor mats. I think you need to be a little bit more specific about that. Which mats are you talking about, and which mats are which, and which truck are you referring to (the one in the video or Limiteds in general?). Who literally deleted what and on which truck? What exactly are you saying we shouldn't do, and why? And what are you suggesting that we SHOULD do, and also why? The way you presented your point leaves room for so many optional interpretations that I don't even know where to begin... Anyway I think the mega cab seems like a really neat configuration for a RAM HD despite the bigger blind spots, so thanks for talking about that! I guess having those blind spots puts bigger emphasis on really good rear view mirrors/cameras.
I can see how the mega cab part that makes it look funny, but where else are they going to add that much space? Longer rear doors would look goofy, long panel between front and rear doors would be goofy.
Laughable ? Why not do a tug war between this cummins and any duramax? Just saying! Not really buying a diesel for speed; but for pulling power 🤷🏽♂️. LETS GO RAM 👍💪💪💪
@@julioroman183 you tube doesn’t allow links but please watch the Ike towing tests. The 24 Duramax is over a min faster than the HO Cummins pulling the same weight. It also accelerates faster 0-60 and 35-60 towing than the Cummins… 50 more hp and 4 more gears is tough to overcome
I hate that ram has so many secondary trim levels. That limited looks no different than a night edition Laramie on the exterior. My buddy had a Laramie “Level 2” trim truck. It’s like ram is just doing side quests now instead on the main mission. You can distinctly tell the difference between Lariat, Platinum, Limited truck.
1,700 lb payload…..that’s only 300 lbs more than my 1500 limited. Between that and the Cummins just not being powerful compared to the competition. That’s why I ordered a superduty; I’ve had 3 half ton rams and loved them all but the 3/4 ton segment that I’m moving into the ram just doesn’t compete
Saying the Cummins isn’t powerful is a clear sign you have never driven one that’s loaded, the cummins puts in work, the only knock can be the 6 speed transmission but even then very minuscule “issue” if you want to even refer to it as a problem. I personally have a 2500 Limited Mega cab with the cummins and I can get 20mpg cruising at 85mph
Every one should just boycott the car industry, we the people have the power, these prices are not reasonable at all this is terrible, they should be ashamed charging that much
The 2022 Limited's were the end of the best Limiteds. The new ones have horrible mirrors, Ugly hood badges, dumb speedometer gage and a limited with no limited steering wheel at a price of over 100k. No thanks.

I second the payload for 3/4 tons, Ford/GM are way ahead in that category 👍🏾

Price, the value just isn’t there like it was three or four years ago or even back six years ago when I bought mine.

TRX or 2500 Cummins
