This video is a pattern tutorial for a dramatic puff sleeve one shoulder dress. I tested the pattern towards the end to check for errors and I hope you guys love the outcome as much as I do.
Love your tutorial as always but is it possible to make the pattern without cutting all those panels maybe just one for the front and two for the back??
The best thing I love about you and this channel, is that you're very industrious and you give the people what they actually want to see and be able to make. I'm thankful to have discovered your channel.☺😊✨
Beautiful piece on you. I'm going to try this out, but I'll need to double up the dress to give more support for tummy control & just make this beautiful dress accent my curves. You did a wonderful project on this dress. Looks great on you!!!
thank you for always sharing. please how do you determine the amount to take away along the neckline to make it firm or is the 2cm standard for every design?
You did a fabulous job, Priscilla. I am going to have to go back and watch the video again on the dress technique. The dress would look great in say a taffeta, because it would be stiff enough to hold the puff. I was going to suggest crepe though it would work for the rest of the dress, but it would be too flowy for the puff unless you used a really stiff interfacing. Happy Thanksgiving to you, your fiance and family! 🦃
@@KimDave That will be Ideal, because the Jacquard will add drama and flare to the design, which made me think of a wedding reception dress in ivory. Hint, hint, 😀. I was also seeing mermaid length to the dress for more effect. Similar to what Duchess Meghan wore to the Variety show the other evening. You would carry that off well.
Hey Kim I really llke ur video even I stitch ur patterns too, Dear in this dress all good fit and sleeve, but princess line is shifted from pivot point , I thought it’s in my dress only , but I noticed in ur final garment too. Just advise pal how this can be fixed , I will be really Thankful to you Keep up this good work of urs Really u explain very well Waiting for ur reply for this particular garment Pls reply soon
Hello your videos are brilliant. I’m trying to do a one shoulder bridesmaid dress with a circle skirt bottom but I keep messing up on the bodice. I can’t afford to mess this up my confidence for doing it is literally at zero I’ve made the pattern pieces but I’m scared it’s wrong any advice?
Hi Kim. You are a wonderful teacher. Thank you for this beautiful pattern. Is it possible for you to share a Buba (men and women) pattern? Possibly the whole of our beautiful traditional wear 🙈.
I made exactly the same dress and I had soo many problems ... 😣 I wish I had found this tutorial earlier ... What did you do when you aligned the back and the front pattern pieces together?? I was confused about that step .. because that's what happened my dress precisely did not align !!

Hey Kim! Love the video. How do I get my gathers to stay gathered when I go to sew the straight stitch to hold them in place? Lol 🥴
You can tie the ends of the threads to lock the gathers as your sew them into the arm hole
