8:24 my jaw is ON THE FLOOR. Of course, every parent has flaws or ways they could’ve handled situations in the past differently….. but mannnn my dad is the MOST generous person on earth 🥺 if he’s wealthy, everyone is taken care of! Even when he hasn’t been 😓 always taking care of everyone around him. It’s so funny because obviously everyone wants to hit the lotto, right? But I only wanna so I can give most to my pops 😭😭😭 hahahah. I just wanna way to pay him back for everything he’s done for me in my 30 years of life. Ahhh I just love that man so much.. makes me tear up ♥️♥️♥️

So the fact that dude’s parents were already millionaires?!?!?!! Absolutely shocking.. and horrible.. and I’m glad he’s written a book and told his story to warn others out there who may have wealth fall into their lap!! Just goes to show it’s not all sunshine and rainbows and he said it perfectly.. that it just brings out dormant stuff in people. So crazy! I’d love to hear the breakdown of the psychology of it all. But yeah.. wish me luck y’all!!! Cause I just wanna give it to my dad, the most deserving person on earth 😭 lmaooo

I recently lost my stepmom and knew that I was included in her Will, there are 5 of us and found out we each will get approximately one million dollars or slightly more when the Estate is settled in as little as a few months to six or seven months, I was surprised at this amount, as I thought it would be around half of that! I will collect a small interest rate from it and can live very nicely on that for the rest of my life. Being nearly 70, I plan on it lasting the rest of my life!

@c.akhila9150 - I am glad that you have recently won $1M, however, just bear in mind that $1M is no longer what it once was, especially in the USA and Europe. When I was growing up back in the '90s $1M would probably equal to about $10M in today's money (in my mind). Be wise, invest it wisely, otherwise, it will just dry up in a split second.

That being said I can honestly tell you that I thought having a narcissistic mother and dealing with brutal bullies, (they find you trust me), was 100 times harder to deal with when you're just financially middle class paycheck to paycheck , but after listening to what Randy has gone through, its really matured my thinking about wishing for money. Thank you for the interview. I learn so much from listening to the people you interview. I live in Aussie land and here a lottery winner is able to remain anonymous to the public, which after viewing countless of your interviews and people describing how they have to deal with the media and people coming out of the woodwork, is an absolute blessing for us Aussies. All lotteries winners you have interviewed have gained the wisdom of the ages, from their experiences. Randy's thoughts and wisdom really resonated with me. I also enjoyed the interview with the young lady who was 14 when her family won the lottery and her take on the world and how her parents encouraged her to go out and get a job.
To me, and this may sound weird, listening to your podcast interviews is an important part of my life preparation to when I when the lottery. And this is important to me, as I like to be fully informed about stuff and whilst each lottery winner you have interviewed has a different take so to speak on life and what winning the lottery means to them and how it has or not benefited their lifestyles of choice; I find there are some very common threads and words of wisdom that each have put forward in their own words.
Thank you. Please keep these interview podcasts coming.

When I win the lottery I'm really going to keep this man in mind.
I'm going to follow his advice.
I don't really want a big house either.
I want a nice beautiful one that sizable so I can keep all my guitars in it LOL but really I want a family home
Is that my children feel happy in.

It's an interview style I think is really enjoyable as a listener/watcher. You draw upon your own experience without turning it into the 'me' show and it's a perfect balance. Great Interview! I had the pleasure of meeting Neil Peart when he was a patient of mine at a dental office I worked in at a Beverly Hills office in 2004, and since I’m a drummer too, it was an honor meeting and talking to him every time he came in!

Randy is a good human and is so inspiring! As a single mom who raised 2 sons, I appreciate that he’s included that demographic in his charitable work. Once I have the means, I also intend to feed and house children in need, finance the rescue of children from trafficking and work in the foster child space. Thank you for all that you do, Randy!

I work with a friend from Ghana raising money for a school near his home. $5k buys supplies for over 100 students for the year, a van to get the kids around, maintenance and improvements to the infrastructure. It's incredible what seems relatively small money to you or me makes all the difference to others. Kudos to those who make a difference

Funny Randy says he no longer listens to music but listens to his surroundings, and is very keen on feeding birds. Snap!
For the last 10+ years I have stopped listening to music in my home, I spend my spare time out in my garden where I have many bird feeders and nesting boxes.
I'm wondering if this is the prelude to my hitting the magic 6 numbers and fulfilling my desire for the new home I want where I can feed even more birds and look out to sea for peace and quiet.
Thanks for that insight Randy, I may be moving to another part of Scotland very soon.

I really wish this interview was longer because I could have listened to this man talk a lot more.
I really enjoyed when you started talking about going to Italy and France and the different pace of life.
It must be absolutely so rewarding to be involved in those charities and helping people in different countries that really benefit from it.
It's pretty interesting to hear from people who win the lottery, good to hear from a man who is really done so much good to his own life with it and enriched himself this is just really really fascinating to listen to.
Because vinyl sorts of items and things doesn't really impress me.
Enriching your mind and living experiences, that's the real prize if you ask me.
    Depth of character.

Inspiring and wise words. People tend to think the only way to come into money suddenly is the lottery or inheritance, ignoring sale of business/artwork, writing advances, redundancies, class action lawsuits, divorce...I'm sure that there are a few more. The advice given applies to all of these situations too, albeit to a lesser degree. Thanks Randy!
