Me and you both I've watched this video several times it is badass and I hope there OK and doing well I messaged them 2years ago and they said they were in Argentina 🇦🇷
Makes me homesick. I spent fifteen years cruising the Caribbean, the east coast, and the Gulf of Mexico. Now I live near Seattle and I will be sailing north in the spring. I'm seventy five and still living in the moment. This is an excellent video.
Simply amazing! Thanks for producing a wonderful sailing video, full of sailing. Your video doesn't just document, it places the viewer on board and participating in your adventure. Minus the BO ....
Seachange - nobody is making video this good. I keep coming back here to see how good a sailing video can be. Please save us by writing a book or something for other sailing videographers to read. You are awesome.
That video is as real as they come. You see it..... you feel it.....your captured by it..... and then most of all, you want to be a part of it ! I'm tuned in..... and watching. Thank you for the inspiration.
+TodaysRealHealth Have you checked out their website? Its a ( Mariners Log ). It gives you all the story from the beginning. Check it out..... its cool. Its a great read. Seachangelog.com
OMG this is spectacular. No white sand beaches, no bikinis, no fancy cocktails at sundown, just a couple of sailors challenging the master mother earth.
no, it would be gay if the two guys were screwing each other. Of course we don't know the details haha. In a true sailors perception, when you're crossing the ocean its actually considered bad luck to carry women and children aboard for more than 24 hours
best ever, no b.s. music, no antics. in 1980 i spent one year solo cruising the florida keys and the bahamas in a 47' vagabond ketch with all roller furling electric by myself and it was great, the best one year of my life, no family, no people talking to me, I kept away from everybody because my purpose was to get away for a full year, no phones, nothing! I told my mom I was living in Nassau and got me a letter forwarding service from there, so from florida send my families' letter to nassau, then they go to miami, and everybody happy thinking I'm living in paradise while I'm 30 miles from their house. This video is reallty great, I subsceribed and I intend to watch all of them.
We have watched hundreds of sailing videos and documentaries and your skill sets take the cake on story telling, camera/editing-work and bold sailing…Well done boys…we await your next chapter T&R.
This video STANDS OUT! Watch it!! 😎 A very nice mix of just about everything in a great story! ⛵️ High quality footage combined with a warm narrative and a tiny bit of Allan Watt philosophy. Dirty dishes, admission of lacking seafarer experience and sweaty smelling bodies . Rain, wind, sun, thunder and crew fatigue with nice music and narration well balanced in between the bashes. All in all a very gentle story put together with a couple of guys who paradoxically claim themselves to be non-gentlemen.
Well done! This is, without a doubt, the first "I am sailing my boat across the ocean" video series on the TUBE that has been shot cinematographically. What a refreshing change. Got to love series like the story of the Vagabonde, but this is a seriously well shot series! All you need now is a young feminine star with the perfect body, and you too could be sailing a catamaran. ; ) I'll be watching. My wife and I just purchased a Caliber 40 LRC, decommissioned her, and shipped her from Maryland to Oregon, only to recommission her in Ilwaco, WA. Not yet correctly rigged, and with a new Yanmar, we took the opportunity to put 9 hours on the engine by powering on up to our home (downriver from Portland), riding the 'autumn moon' flood tide. Hope to be sailing her south into the Pacific by the end of next summer. Great production, guys. Real (sea) life. Here's wishing you safe passage(s)!
I was only kidding .... naturally! Eye candy is not needed. The filming is getting better and better. This is a joy to watch. And another thing I am seriously impressed with is the underlying spirituality (as opposed to mere 'thrill seeking') of the crew in their voiced (and unspoken) prayers and respect for the Creation they are immersed in. humility ... indeed. Refreshing. You guys are a solid team! Fair winds!
Great photography, excellent imagination giving brilliant visions. Music ......brilliant. And my favourite in this world and my next.....a dawg. The best I’ve seen. Now subscribed.
I know this might be old but it makes my heart sing your dreams and how you present this is inspiring to mankind keep it simple and my life is grand always be there for your friends to give them a hand it'll come back tenfold so they say I love you Brothers in every way.
Thank you so much for making these. I have been a sailor my whole life and I have been on trips as long as yours- I have never seen a video that I made me feel more nostalgic for those times. You have so perfectly captured the excitement, wonder, boredom, danger, beauty, discomfort, anticipation.... etc etc. I am so moved watching these films. Thank you.
fresh air , pure air wow , I miss crossing the Atlantic ocean while in the Navy. I have to admit I do miss looking up at the night clear sky and watching the stars , and the sound of the waves . I miss you ocean.
Classic footage. Reminds me so much of a time back in '82 when I sailed a 65 foot ketch from Falmouth in the UK to Cape Town, South Africa. Around the bulge of Africa, and also the 'wrong way round'. Thanks for evoking the amazing memories of that trip and life at sea!
Holy smokes did you guys do a great job with the video photography. That's so much better than what most publish; video quality and ability to convey the story without words. The fact that you tossed in an excerpt of Alan Watts into your story line was pretty ingenious. Time at Sea definitely gave a lot of us a chance to reflect on what some of his speeches meant to us individually. Keep going gents.
YEWWW! You boys are crazy! I thought a 6 hour upwind beat to Catalina was bad, but 20 days against the trade winds sounds more like a tale from the Odyssey. And to do it with no motor, you all have proven to be closer to Poseidon than man. Congratulations on the safe crossing, I can not wait to see what else you are able to capture.
Ha! Amazing comment! We all had a good laugh when I read it to the crew. Thanks so much! It was certainly a feat for the books, we look at it training for the more serious Southern ocean..
Came back here after two years to watch this again. An increadible video, one of the best sailing videos. Period. Thanks. I wish there were more videos.
I love the calmness and coolness you guys have. Am also on the turning point of stepping out of our comfort zone and start living the dream. Your videos are a real help !! Thanks a lot guys and good luck !!
Great job guys. Sitting here in the comfort of my home, as the storm approached, I had the same butterflies in my stomach that I would normally associate with leaving port on a dark night.
Happy to finally see professional quality video on sailing. Love your video that allows me to feel the wind, splash, and movement as if I was there. Thanks.
This was one of the videos that inspired me to cross the Indian Ocean in 2019. Incredibly good videography and editing. I can watch this time and time again. Thank you.
Now where talking this is how sailing videos should be edited and produced. You guys rock. Actual videos of sailing and sail handling now that's a good concept. Looking forward to following your videos and plane on being out there with you in the near future. Yes I hit the like button and subscribe. Thank you for sharing.
I laughed and cried watching your videos... what a wonderful dream you are living, boys, and what a well done job showing it like this! I'm a photographer, a post producer and a sailor... believe me, I totally got every second. Be safe, enjoy and keep 'em coming!
yup, A real pleasure to watch and imagine doing it, being scared with it, thanking bjesus out of survival of it. Next to Free Range Sailing this is the best sailing only channel out there. Muscle and bone....salt and sail
Did the same trip with my son on a 38 ft sloop in sept/November last year. Left Panama just after hurricane Mathew. Sailed to Trinidad via SAN blade, Jamaica, Haiti, and st Martin. A tough sail. Well you guys, great video.
Great video guys, actually its fantastic!. As someone who is new to sailing and wants to learn im sick of seeing these bikini clad click bait sailing BS vids. This is raw, informative, realistic and all sailing! Think found my new fav sailing channel. Cheers and safe sailing.
I’m watching this this at sea, the same sea, a hundred miles south of Haiti, also sailing the wrong way. Fun to compare and contrast with our own trip, ours still underway. We are a lot more comfortable and a lot less sexy than you fellows, but still a joy to be out here.
As a 14 year old whom one day wants to sail the world with his friend, this video is really inspiring (as well as the whole series, but mostly this one)
This videotogriphy is Absolutely Fantastic..!! I Hope you guys are still out there and doing OK 👌 We ALL would love to see more of your movies as soon as you’re ready ✅👍😎
I've come back again and again over the past year to watch these, especially this 3rd installment. Incredible cinematography. Love all the b-roll, rack focus and 120+fps shots. Even the audio editing is fantastic. Can't understand why this channel hasn't blown-up. And wish you guys returned from wherever you've gone off to. This was such good work.
Guys, a masterpiece. Just keep on what you're doing, you will always get negative people and comments, no matter what. At least you had about 94% positive remarks and compliments. You guys rock. I wait for the next one. Piet
You know, when I was a kid I always dreamed of going on some grand adventure that would carry me many miles. Discover new places (places I've never been) with me and my mates. Then as time passed, in my teens that dreamed has still followed me. Now I've never knew how my adventure would start, nor where it would take me. But I've never really cared about that, I just wanted to go. Now in my early twenties, the sea beckons me to go on that adventure and ride the gales of fate to my adventure! I envy you and crew for the adventure I have not yet sailed. Yet, one day that call for adventure will call for me so hard I will have no other option than to weigh anchor and set sail!
I will walk, or sail more aptly, in your footsteps. Keep it onward, fledge the wayward path so that the rest of us may have a compass to guide from. Thanks for sharing!
LOVE that video! What a fun ride! Wouldn't want to do it on a 'lesser' boat. I loved the sound of the water and three quotes that stood out . . . "That's the last time we'll think about reefing early without actually doing it" "And now there is no escape, our asses belong to the sea" "No matter how uncomfortable, this endeavor was spectacular"
You guys definitely make some of the best sailing videos on UA-cam. I have watched most if not all of the major players when it comes to sailing and your videos are by far the best. Narration, editing, and scenery. Great work! And one request, keep making them over 15 mins long. I can't get enough! Peace
Fantastic video and film work, brilliant adventure. I'm sure someone may have suggested it already, but with a boat like yours, heaving to is a great option in those short lived storms, you'll be comfy enough to relax and the distance you'll lose to will be minimal.
Three years later this is still my favorite sailing video on UA-cam. Hope you guys are doing well.
I miss the videos. I wonder wonder I do.
Me and you both I've watched this video several times it is badass and I hope there OK and doing well I messaged them 2years ago and they said they were in Argentina 🇦🇷
Man… 7 years later and this video is still amazing!!
Makes me homesick. I spent fifteen years cruising the Caribbean, the east coast, and the Gulf of Mexico. Now I live near Seattle and I will be sailing north in the spring. I'm seventy five and still living in the moment. This is an excellent video.
you inspire us, what you made is timeless
Simply amazing! Thanks for producing a wonderful sailing video, full of sailing. Your video doesn't just document, it places the viewer on board and participating in your adventure.
Minus the BO ....
hahaa! but admit it if you could scratch and sniff, you so would!
I agree , brilliant film, you need to make a longer video next time.

Rarely have I seen such fantastic images in a sailing video - applause

Bill Turner thanks for the tip!!
OMG this is spectacular. No white sand beaches, no bikinis, no fancy cocktails at sundown, just a couple of sailors challenging the master mother earth.
Guybrush Threepwood "You know how I know you're gay?... You like Wham!"
MANLY????? "say in our buttcheeks" sailing butt naked to together trying to show off in some strange way
no, it would be gay if the two guys were screwing each other. Of course we don't know the details haha. In a true sailors perception, when you're crossing the ocean its actually considered bad luck to carry women and children aboard for more than 24 hours
I saw comments exactly the same as yours
Alls good but the dog. Sailing across the ocean with a dog. How fuckin stupid is that. And ignorant. Dogs are not sea creatures you fuckin momo's
best ever, no b.s. music, no antics. in 1980 i spent one year solo cruising the florida keys and the bahamas in a 47' vagabond ketch with all roller furling electric by myself and it was great, the best one year of my life, no family, no people talking to me, I kept away from everybody because my purpose was to get away for a full year, no phones, nothing! There is nothing more spectacular than an ocean crossing in rough sea. Beautiful images.
Hollywood can just close shop now. This is spectacular watching. Thank you

loved the Alan Watts throw in too!!
They're filming with a professional level camera, most youtubers are not that well equipped
yep - been listening to a lot of him lately with my son, who loves his stuff. Son just set sail yesterday across the Indian Ocean.
Yeah, love these videos. They actually are professionals which is a big difference.
Any problems clearing customs or entering with a dog?
How many days out without landfall have you encountered?

Fantastic. This is My dream. Beautiful movie. Congratulations.
Absolutely beautiful! Hopefully there's more!
Thank you so! Much more to come :)
LOVE that video! What a fun ride! Wouldn't want to do it on a 'lesser' boat. I loved the sound of the water and three quotes that stood out . . .
"That's the last time we'll think about reefing early without actually doing it"
"And now there is no escape, our asses belong to the sea"
"No matter how uncomfortable, this endeavor was spectacular"
Absolutely stunning! You've eloquently captured my feeling when at sea ....
Great video work guys! I also sail a Lafitte 44. The boat is a tank and will keep you safe for sure! Nice job on handling her as well. Enjoy!

Fantastic video and film work, brilliant adventure.
