She recorded this right after one of her close friends passed away. The emotion in her voice are completely genuine. Bradley told her she didn't have to record at that time if she didn't want to. She chose to use the raw emotions. You hear the results
I'd would be nice if you react to voiceplay those guys do songs Acapella they recently did a Acapella cover more like a mash up of all the song of panic at the Disco, you should check them out
No kidding
This is the studio version, the film version was raw and live.
Wow, true artistic genius. That's what art is in my opinion, capturing the pain in a bottle and using it like clay to mold your expression.
Ed Fong It is the same version though right??!
lady gaga: breaths
tara: YES
🤣😂🤣
Gaga: exists
Tara: Mmm beautiful.
me as well
Lady Gaga was stunning in that movie and that song is glorious.
The emotions in this were real because right before she sang this, she got a call that her best friend wasn't doing well so she rushed to the hospital but was 10 minutes too late. She went back to the studio right after and sang this song. Completely raw emotion.
Lady Gaga is legit one of my all time favorite singers! She takes risks and can do so much with her singing.
You should react to Lady Gaga’s Sound Of Music performance. It’s vocally one of her best performances ever.
Also just wanted to note that the I’ll Never Love Again performance was recorded in a single take and it was live (along with all the other songs in the movie). One of her best friends passed away right before they were about to film this scene so she rushed to the hospital to be with her. Once she returned to the set, Bradley told her she didn’t have to sing this or film this scene. But she went for it. You can see and hear so much of that raw emotion in this performance from losing her friend Sonja
bigmac13313 We’ll wait for that...
I totally agree about the Sound of Music performance. Amazing! I would love to see a reaction video to that.
I was coming to say that too
YAS
Facts
But all the performances in the movie were live performances...

Yass
Right, however the ones in the soundtrack album and music videos are studio recorded.
Actually the songs in the album are the audios recorded live in set, they're just remastered.
Molly yes they were I was there when she sung it live at the shrine auditorium that was the day her best friend died of cancer so she definitely was in her feelings it came out beautifully
It actually is a live performance. All the songs in this movie are performed and recorded live.
Alan Xie for the soundtrack and UA-cam video it’s recorded in a studio/remastered
@@wolfganghammatt5406 As far as I can remember, the youtube clip sounds the same as in the movie.
@@wolfganghammatt5406 Nah it's the soundtrack it's the live tracks but remasterised
@Alan Xie i agree. I have watched the movie twice and it sounds the same.
Alan Xie • The movie version is technically less refined.
No matter how much I hear this song I still get goosebumps and my heart breaks all over again. I don’t think this version is anywhere near the same because in the film version you really FEEL what she’s feeling. She’s an AMAZING actress as well... god the movie felt so real. It was amazing. The acting was phenomenal.
That song is so incredible, and she sings it so beautifully, that I tear up every time.
This song was a Live recording. I attended the taping at the Shrine Auditiorium in LA and she sang it about 8 or 9 times. We were there for almost 12 hours but it was so worth it. She sang magnificently.
THE MOST PHENOMENAL ARTIST IN THE MUSIC INDUSTRY SHE BLOWS MY MIND EVERY SINGLE TIME 😍😍😍😍😍
I've heard this many times and I still cried. Actually, I'm still crying. I've seen her in concert twice and cried each time. She is absolutely incredible.
This is an I will always love you,(Whitney Houston) My heart will go on (Celine Dion) moment!! What you heard in the last note was emotion she was crying also there are two versions. She has one of the most beautiful head voices, I wish she'd use it more often! This was filmed live at the end of the movie, she refused to do any of the concert scene's anything other than live, the woman's a force! I'd feel bad for Bradley but seems he kept up rather well! In this particular song I think she's looking to snatch your heart right out of your chest! 😢
you can tell that's what she intended too. Some of her vocal choices, the video itself, are very I Have Nothing.
@@Rosannasfriend Her hum was Whitney all over!
She's amazing
Whitney Houston is Whitney Houston
Celine Dion is Celine Dion
Lady Gaga is Lady Gaga
Every song sung in this movie was live recording and genuine audiences ☺
Have you ever seen her perform with Tony Bennett? If not, you really have to. That's when I realized what a tremendous singer she actually is.
Agreed. I was thinking the same !
Ditto.
Also, 'Joanne' was really one of the most vocally charged albums and slightly more mainstream, surprised to hear this was the first time she had heard her "just sing", she's been doing that for a while now and also acting beautifully. Lady Gaga FTW!
@@BrunoSenra I totally agree. I was thinking the same thing too.
She has to react to her version of Lush Life. It's out of this world.
I love how you always stop videos to comment about certain technical subtleties, but in this case you were clearly so invested in the emotions of the performance that you didn't actually stop it at all. It speaks volumes about just how good the vocals are on this
VOLUMES
I've always known Lady Gaga had a great voice. Now it may be just me, but her singing has risen a level or two since she did those duets with Tony Bennett about 3 or 4 years ago. There is truly a big difference. This performance does bring a tear to ones eyes.
yes! people thought she was a bad singer lol, i love how she proved them wrong! i mean from poker face to cheeck to cheek and now this!!!
react to lady gaga always remember us this way
My Favorite Song from the Movie too
Yes, I found this looking for Always Remember Us This Way
Jazz Portillas I love all the songs from this movie!!
Please react to Lady Gaga singing songs from The Sound of Music at the Oscars!!
PLEASE DO IT
Yess pleasee
Yes also her lush life performance and her national anthem performance
I grew up watching the sound of music and when I heard she sang the songs... I didn't know what to think but honestly, omfg!!! She SLAYED it and no one could ever do it better!
YESSSS! Here is a link: ua-cam.com/video/JxcFcKvjZCk/v-deo.html
This song in the movie is absolutely heart wrenching. I was balling and I know most of the theater was too. It's a gorgeous song and Lady Gaga puts intense emotion into it without giving up her vocal prowess. Could you react to Lara Fabian Je suis malade live? I feel she has that same intensity and power.
FYI the performance is live, there was an entire interview about how she hates hearing the studio track and acting audio from the film clash. So they sing live on stage to avoid that
This isn't a music video...its directly from the movie. I think this is the best that Lady Gaga has ever produced. The movie is a triumph, and its gonna CLEAN UP come award season. Well deserved.
It was a live performance...beautiful !!
Even her whispers are full of power. ❤❤❤ This is my favorite version of Lady Gaga.
The raw emotion that exudes from “Queen Gaga’s” voice singing I’ll never love again , you feel it in your gut, your soul!!! All hail the Queen!!!! Bravissimo
This might be one of the greatest love songs I have ever heard. Describing how hard it is to keep a flame lit that burns so bright for only a moment, a day or even a week. You only feel alive when you love with all of you.
The ending of the song is a little weird because their are two versions of this song the film version and the extended version and this video is using the extended version just cutting out the ending short. Also all the music is live in the film.
they changed the final for the mv
I like this version better. I think the extended version sounds strange.
the ending in the movie was emotional for me bc jackson was singing it and all.
@@kaelyn1 I prefer that version especially for the emoticons that it carry’s with it
Gaga has an entire Jazz album with Tony Bennet, also her latest album ‘Joanne’ is also very vocal. This whole movie is stunning, from the music to the acting.
She recorded this before one of her managers passed away from cancer on the same day. The ending was just probably emotional for Lady
Nainoa Ching where are people finding this, is there a link article I just wanna know if it’s true
@@kareemclyne5803 found it: twitter.com/AppleMusic/status/1048243662511951872
Not a manager, her best friend
Kareem clyne if you watch her documentary on Netflix it shows. The documentary is called 5 foot 2
Mitchel Jiménez she was also a best friend yes, but she was also a managing director for Lady Gaga’s “Haus of Gaga”
God I cry when I hear this song. Such a masterpiece. ❤️❤️❤️
Been waiting for THIS! I adore this song! On my rotation list since it dropped. This movie is a must see. I sobbed out loud in the Theatre and I wasn't the only one! GaGa is an incredible song writer and vocalist. This song is so perfect!
Btw the ending isnt the real ending, which is why is sounds abrupt. The extended cut has the full out ending.
I remember watching this movie for the first time with my husband and sobbing like a baby while she sang thing song at the end. My husband had to literally hold me for a whole hour to calm down. The raw emotion behind the song was just powerful. The lyrics were just spot on! She is telling the person she loves that she can never love again because she doesn’t want to know another kiss or get to know another stranger. She won’t even let the day begin or the sun light in. MY GOODNESS! Those lyrics alone took me out🥺🥺🥺. It was later I found out she sang this song literally after finding out her best friend passed away. I mean, you can just feel the emotion behind every word she sang. She sang this song with every fiber of her being.👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I think she said all performances in the movie were live, which is pretty impressive! I loved this movie so much and I think they both did a great job singing AND acting 👌🏼 and I would really like to know who wrote all the songs for the movie bc they’re all so good
If you haven’t seen it you should definitely go watch it!
She wrote most of them and fairly sure she co-wrote on all of them. She's the best talent of her generation.
Even before I watched the film this song had my emotions flowing with the riptide that is her tone and delivery. I believe the pain, it fills me up and rips me apart. Every quiver I love it
So well said again Tara. I love it when a vocalist pulls me in so much that I can't help but cry (of course only when nobody is around!) And makes me feel ever word and note! I'd go watch it with you but then you'd probably see me bawl like a baby, lol!
It doesn’t matter how many times I hear this I ugly cry..it comes from deep inside..beautiful.
The world has been waiting for a long time for a performance like this I feel
Gosh... I feel so emotional when I heard the song😭😭😭
I love your reactions to her. You don't even have to speak. Your body language and facial expressions say it all.
Wow Lady Gaga love this
You definitely should see the movie! I've seen it twice in the theater and was equally moved by it both times. I downloaded the full soundtrack (and I haven't done that for a LONG time). Everyone involved in this film did an extraordinary job across the board. Just so much wow.
I literally get a lump in my throat every time I hear her sing this song… that fighting back the tears feeling. Heartbreaking and powerful 💔
Does anyone else think that the "and I wanna pretend that it's not true" part sounds very similar to"and I wish to you joy"?
See this mashup of Gaga and Whitney shows what you're talking about ua-cam.com/video/3iB1pZiEjWI/v-deo.html
Yes omfg I’m late but I thought about this all the time
Sally O'Brien i
The beginning melody was the same 'Wish I could' with l'll Always Love You and then, it change from 'Could have said goodbye'.
you should react to Always Remember Us This Way, from this movie, it's gold!
I had no idea Lady Gaga had such an AMAZING VOICE!! Very impressed!
New subscriber here! Enjoy your videos! I feel binge-watching coming on...
That song deserves an Oscar and so many other accolades...what vocals!! Raw emotions! She's truly on par with the greats!!
What’s really beautiful is this woman and those hypnotizing eyes.
React to Shallow :)
Yess
Buy shallow on itunes
now with bohemian rhapsody out, i would find it interesting if you'd react to some of queen's songs, or parts of the live aid concert. it could be very cool to hear what you'd have to say and what you could teach us via queen's talent!
The film is stunning they both were so amazing in it, but she was pure heaven especially this song... I cried my eyes out
The performance was live when recorded. ALL the music was recorded live when filmed. This one was filmed after Lady Gaga returned to the studio after visiting the hospital 10 minutes after her best friend had died from cancer. She had laid with her, then she was convinced that her friend would have wanted her to go back and film this scene. This should be the song to be nominated for an Oscar-and it should win!
I love the way you live music, and how you just listen to every particular detail in each song. This song, shallow, and always remember us this way, are super special to me.
Always remember us this way is my favorite!
Me too
I first heard this song from your reaction. It had whitney houston vibes ...i got goosebumps plus while i was watching it i wished you didn't pause it to comment through...thank god you didn't..it was really a stunning performance.
The way you respect Gaga is so good to see! Because you really know what you are talking about. That's so humble from an amazing singer like you.
All the success to this amazing channel! 😍
Im Lady Gaga’s number 1 fan.
And this is so moving song for me and i can relate this.
❤️
It was so emotional. That song in the context of the movie, oh man. I don’t watch many movies because I never really find too many I enjoy. I really enjoyed this movie. The music made it even better.
Honestly that brought me to tears! Such amazing emotion in her singing.
And once again PLEASE more sohyang!! Everyone is gonna blow you away, love u queen
she´s amazing, i love gaga and im crying right now
Lady gaga has such a powerful voice ❤and then you could that with her deep emotional skills😥 wow🎧
Tara, the depth at which you go into is amazing. Listening to you helps me know what I need to listen to in singers. I've been able to help other people based on your critiques. Keep doing an amazing job!!
Tara, I love watching your reactions & comments you give. It helps me to become a better singer. Love you ♥️
First time listening to this song. She has a great voice & she's definitely one of the best pop stars imo. Very pretty song that she sings with emotion.
It gives me the chills.
Great work. Credit goes to singer. The end is connected to a famous singer and movie narrative.
There is something so rare about a pure love...I saw the 1976 version with Barbra and Chris many times....LOVED, LOVED, LOVED IT!!!
I had just turned 18, just graduated from High School, was celebrating our Country’s Bi-Centennial and my State’s Centennial, (Colorado)....Epic time for sure! I also Loved this version....my heart is 1976 but this was wonderful too!
OMG Stephaine you made me cry!!
This song just feels so raw, you can feel it. The emotion, everything
She “goes there”
That’s what I love about her for years
This is absolutely my favorite movie soundtrack. Ive been listening to it nonstop since before the movie came out.
Loved the movie, loved Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper! I admire Lady Gaga's voice because of its variations and depth!
That song just made me cry...
Loved the movie and her performance (acting and singing). She said in an interview that she tried to NOT sing like her usual self. She is so versatile!
love that song! She touched my heart with her performance :) Thx for another great reaction
I think LG is one extremely strong vocalist in a very mundane music scene. And her Manson influence is evident and appreciated. I am so glad she is sharing herself with us. Much needed breath of fresh air.
I can't agree more with the comments on hear absolute sublime vocal so much emotion what quality ga ga I'm 58 and appreciate a quality vocal and class song so much keep kicking arse girl, and great acting as well.
Great review!!! Thanks, Tara! Only one thing...I read that Lady Gaga insisted that most of the music was recorded live on set and I think that might also be the case with this beautiful song/performance...what do you think?
Wonderful Reaction from you ! Crucial to me that you are actually experiencing and feeling the MUSIC...I've seen other reactions where every 2 seconds the song is stopped and opinions are given (I understand the opinions..), BUT in those reactions I DON"T feel or see their true reactions! BRAVO to you for giving us a true reaction!
Great review. 'Joanne' was also really one of the most vocally charged albums and slightly more mainstream, surprised to hear this was the first time she had heard her "just sing", she's been doing that for a while now and also acting beautifully. Lady Gaga FTW!
I LOVE ALL OF THE SONGS SHE DID IN THIS MOVIE. SO AMAZING!!
That "Oh" between the first and second verses gets me every time... says everything.
OMG this song makes me cry every time....
Am gaga for Gaga - not just for the stunning artistic talents, but having watched several interviews and really listened to her, she has to be one of the most unaffected and down-to-earth stars on the planet. Her humility is every bit as beautiful - and real - as her vocal abilities. ❤
The last note....thing of it in terms of jazz. Great video!
Loved seeing you react to this I still can't listen to it without crying!! It's so good
You are serving looks EVERY video queen. YAS!
YOU ARE SO RIGHT ABOUT THAT LAST NOTE BEING WEIRD I HEAR ALL EVERY SINGLE TIME and honestly it sounds like her poker face/bad romance voice coming out
Totally agree with loving gagas voice..check out her performance on Howard stern show edge of glory..just her voice and her playing the piano..simply beautiful and Well broken down.
When I first heard this song it was on the radio and I was doing DIY so didn’t really take it in. But I thought that was special I need to give it my full attention. So I put it on my iPad and put the noise cancelling headphones on and took it all in. When she hit the chorus with the tone change I burst into tears at the lyrics. I was delighted as I’ve never had a reaction like that before. And this song is just so beautiful. Your reviews are EXCELLENT the detail you can find in words and tones I wouldn’t notice is amazing. Your detailed break down and explanation is so on point I always understand exactly what your talking about. And I am taking it all in. You make me want to learn to sing. Even just one song 👍🏽. Keep up the good work
Holy cow. Lady Gaga did capture the emotion ... Totally captivating.
This song gives me chills everytime i hear it
The last 'again' was modified, you Have to listen the Full song.
I so agree with you. She gives her 100% all the time. My favorite performances are the ones in which she plays the piano and sings. That's wonderful. Listen (and maybe react!) to her live performance of Gypsy at the AMPYA! :)
All the performances in the movie were recorded live
I love what you said about her. So true.
It's live she just makes it look easy because she's brilliant
yes i've been waiting for this!!
