I would never forget how Lady Gaga had to film that last scene 1 hour after one of her best friends passed away duo to cancer, truly something unbelievable like she was shooting a scene about her husband who passed away while in real life Sonja (her friend) passed away, life sometimes beats the movie sadly. Great reaction btw

I loved the queens in that movie, they felt so real. I mean i know they're all drag race alumni but still. Once again gaga being an ally
I remember seeing this in the theater. Hearing people crying, sniffling, and so on. It was one of the reasons I decided to give up alcohol (over 4yrs now). Kept getting these signs that I should give it up before it was too late.
Congratulations on 4 years! When my husband quit drinking years ago he said the best part was waking up sober and having coffee!

I saw this movie when I was pregnant with an addict's baby when I was pregnant. He was in prison on suicide watch. Believe me when I said I bawled.
It's odd. I was thinking back to an attempt I made on my life a few years ago and then you appeared on my recommended.
And odder, even, is that this movie saved my life from that experience.
I was suffering so much and had a major alcohol addiction as an escape from multiple traumatic experiences in my life at the time, and as a Lady Gaga fan I, of course, went to see this movie. The demonstrative moments involving addiction and the path it leads you down was astounding.
Thankfully I was pulled from the edge by paramedics and that moment of realisation of what I did was a clarity I needed. A clarity that Jackson did and didn't get. He realised he was bad for the image of a superstar girlfriend, but didn't realise that death isn't the answer.
I never cried for about 20yrs. And I'm only 34. My incident was 1yr ago. Watching this reaction made me cry. I don't know what it is about seeing you cry that made me cry, other than the added connection to addiction and suicide, but THANK YOU. You reinforced my will to live after my experience.

i went to see this movie when it first came out and cried A LOT. it shows really well how easy it is to fall in love with an addict when they are talanted/attractive/charismatic/kind/caring etc., and it shows even better how much pain it can bring into your life. I felt discomfort in my stomach during the scene at the grammys cause it felt so real. also i really like the ending, i feel like it's more of a rule that an exception that long-time addicts go down that road again sooner or later. unfortunately.

I heard during the filming of “I’ll never love again” Lady Gaga’s friend passed away that’s why her emotions was real (correct me if I’m wrong)
that's true, she went to the hospital trying to see her friend (Sonja) for the last time, but she couldnt make it, then she went back to the set and recorded that scene
So heart breaking 💔 It's so amazing how she can sing like that with so much emotion!

I went to see this movie in theatres on the night it opened because I was so eager to see Lady Gaga in her big screen debut and I was just completely blown away, it surpassed all my expectations. Lady Gaga went on to win an Oscar for her work writing the soundtrack of this film and she was nominated for Best Actress! Gaga also spoke in an interview I read about how she filmed the final scene of her performance on stage for Jack on the same day her best friend passed away from cancer and she had to return to the set after saying goodbye to her at the hospital to finish filming, so that scene is extra poignant knowing that she had so much real emotion involved behind the scenes.

Gave this a thumbs up but I cannot watch this movie again... When my late wife and I saw it in the theatre, a 20something year old girl sat next to me. I told her then that I would be crying... she said it's ok, she would too... and we did. I am an Empath and there are films that devastate me when I watch them... this is one of them.

I actually saw her in concert and she sang both Shallow and Always Remember Us This Way as she played them during her piano section and I cried so hard 😭😭

I love this movie. I first saw the Barbra Streisand version, I believe, in 1979, which I highly recommend you see, but I LOVE this version. The first time I saw it, I was hysterical at the ending for about 2 hours, crying, just because I have a history of a close relative who killed themselves- even though I knew it was coming. It was the emotion of Gaga in her singing and acting. She is stellar in both. It is a crime they passed her up for an Oscar. Great reaction. I would gladly have sat for the entire reaction, btw. I very much rather watch people who react with emotion, than people who are stoic and just say what a good movie it is. I don't trust people who can watch this and not cry, lol--- SDK

Don't worry love, I'm a mess right with ya! I remember seeing this in theaters with my moms, they've seen the other ones, so they knew the ending. Didn't warn me at all so I was a sobbing disaster by the end ...still gets me. Can't hear "I'll Never Love Again" without crying lol. Such an amazing movie ❤

Lady Gaga really is a beautiful woman and you can tell more so here without the flamboyance she is known for. Brady Cooper sounds more like Sam Elliot than Sam Elliot does.

My demons almost got to me but I happend to meet the love of my life right at this time, and 30 years later we are still together and still very much in love.
This movie hurts me because my partner is trying to get over their past of alcoholism. He’s doing better, but there’s days where I see his struggle. His dad and brother raised him through all that mess, and he copied the habit. I just want him to be okay.
I am glad he is doing better! I know it's cliche but every day being sober is a victory! 🤗
@@ScreenMaureen Yes I am very proud of him. He’s on a diet, thinking about returning to college, we live together…He will now only drink with me on special occasions. So he will have some mead at Ren Fest with me on Halloween.
