These songs that one heard as a teenager are the greatest for me. They adjusted very well to the way we thought and the feelings we had in those bygone days. Nice to hear again after all his years in fact about fifty!
I grew up listening to this song along with tons of mid to late 1950’s songs at my grandparents house ever since I was a toddler. Sadly my grandfather is no longer alive, he passed away back in September unexpectedly to a stroke, but he introduced me to some great catchy timeless tunes. :’)
This hit by Fats Domino went to #4 on the Top 40 charts. It hit #1 on the Rhythm & Blues charts and went to #19 in the United Kingdom. It would finish at #38 for the year, 1957. And the hits are getting bigger.
My father loved Fats Domino. This was one of his favorite songs. He would sit on the couch and tap his feet like crazy. He was buried Tuesday. RIP Fats and Daddy. I hope you meet each other.

Also just appreciate how many marvelous songs the artist gave. From Ain't that a shame to Jumbalaya to Blue Monday, Blueberry Hill, Walking to New Orlans, This masterpiece, and so many others he provided. Such a person.
Earl Palmer's drumming on this song was revolutionary and got him his ticket out of New Orleans straight to LA where he became the greates studio session drummer of all time.
am reading a great book called Blue Monday about Fats and the early rock and rollers, evidently Fats was really hard on drummers, they really had to be on top of their game. he said there were only three that could keep up with him and Earl was one of them
So grateful I got to see Chuck Berry live in SF in the 70s as a teenager. He did much more than Just Johnny B Goode. In my opinion He is the King of rock and roll but there were many greats in the 50s and 60s and I loved so many! Who can ever forget Rock Around the Clock? And Long Tall Sally? "Saw aunt Mary coming so he jumped back in the alley!"
One of the greatest concerts I went to at Winter land in SF in the 70s was: Albert King, Freddy king and BB king. At the end of the show they all jammed together,! I thought Freddy King stole the show from BB. Great memories! Back in those days shows were very affordable so I got to go a lot! So grateful! Didn't see the Beatles but I got to see George Harrison after they split up. And many many more. So grateful! Music is transcendental. Y'all have a great day.

Fats Domino, Buddy Holly, Elvis, Frankie Vallie, and Roy Oberson were one of a kind artists. They'll never be ANYONE like them. When they made them they broke the molds.

We thought we'd lost Fats during Hurricane Katrina in 2005. He did turn up - thank goodness...like many New Orleans stalwarts, he just bunked with friends. Somewhere there is a picture though with the (premature) caption... RIP Fats. (Lotta confusion back then), but Fats rocked on.
@@Daniel-ts3uy that is actually an awesome song Blueberry Hill. I just love music so much and there's if someone asked me to write down the best song or band ever I would have a really hard time there's at least 1,000 songs or 100 artists can't narrow it down to one
