My dad died december the 10th he loved The Rolling Stones, I'm here because I miss him. One of the things I am more proud of is that when The Rolling Stones came to my country I could pay his ticket to see them. One of my favourite memories of him is when he came back from the concert, a 67 year old man as happy as a 16 year old after watching his idols.
God bless you and him. A lot of songs remind me of my dad too. He was a Vietnam vet, he died from cancer probably from exposure to Agent Orange. Hopefully we'll get to see them again someday. 🙂
Summer 1978. The day this album came out, I was 14 and rode my bicycle as fast as I could to my local record store called Stereo Stop and bought this record as soon as the store opened. 45 years later still one of my favorite albums ever.
@@santander6317 I saw the Stones live at Shea Stadium in NYC in October 1989. When they began the opening riff to “Honkey Tonk Woman” the place went wild. Next thing we knew an inflatable woman the size of a Thanksgiving Day Parade float began rising next to the stage. Back in 1989 Mick, Keith, Charlie & Company still at the top of their game.

Man, truthfully I love so many different types of music. From metal to bluegrass to pop to funk. But there's something about the Stones. I always go back to the Stones. It's something that reaches my soul like no other band. To me, this song feels so old New York, gritty, dirty and soulful. I can feel the East Village. So cool. That's just my opinion. Thanks for posting. See em live if you ever get a chance.
seanjustinification I want to nail his dance and see what attention I get. I love rock literally in love with it I was either 2 or 3 and I saw a video of Teen Spirit and I was hooked. I was born when Cobain died.
Makes me think of anxiety attacks & breakdowns. And being young in front of a public that has no real clue. So you just laugh out of awkwardness bc 🤷 it's just the right thing to do./ "Like a mad woman(man) laughing at the rain" -
I absolutely love the Stones!! I never really noticed before, but a few years back I read that this song was their ode to disco. I never really thought of it that way, but it makes total sense. The drum beat, the guitar work - perfect!!
Started to listen to them at 19 yo back in 2013. They changed my life 🙏. For any mood that you feel, there's a Stones song for you. Cheers ya legends, thx for the music ❤️
It's one of the best, but this came after the Golden Age of the Rolling Stones had ended, and with classics like "Gimme Shelter", "Can't you Hear me Knocking","Sympathy for the Devil" and "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction" it's tough for this track to compete with some of their other greatest hits, but that's just my opinion.
Brings back memories when my dad would wake me up to go with him to get some coffee before taking me to elementary school and always turned into me going to school late cause my dad was just showing me all the rock n roll he knew. Love you old man ❤️

Genialny zespół, genialna muzyka, ponadczasowy, nieśmiertelny utwór. Historia światowej muzyki rockowej.
Amazing, I will never tire of this wonderful band :)
make a video of you spinning to this?

It’s Oct. 1989, I’m 19 and was the 92nd caller to win tickets from KOMP Vegas for the show at the Coliseum. I thought they were old then. Who knew they’d still be kickin all these years later. God Bless em ✌🏼.
God bless u when u look in the mirror n see ur an ole fart...talent doesn't change...let's just hope sum 1 says, "gonna miss u, child"...🙈😎😳✌
@@anthonyramirez1856 ahh gotta love it.. love it live although I never seen the Stones live...well not yet anyways lol
Hopefully they're still tour again in my area or even if I have to go to New York area...Keep rocking Keef,Mick and the rest 😄😄😄😄😄
This is pure 70s summer music. It came out when I was almost 12. Probably their best.
When I saw the Stones in Leeds in 1982 I just wanted 2 songs, this and start me up. We went home happy as they played both. Thanks guys.
This song brings back sweet memories when I was kid in summer camp. I am now 53, but it seems like it was yesterday when this song came out on the radio!!!
It's good to hear that young people are still listening to their stones they are a legend
If you don't tap your toes to this beat you are clinically dead. Drums are crispy and that bass line is super funky. This is how it's done youngsters.
That's funny
“Youngsters” Corny
@@nfaisnfgay of course it is. Therein lies the humor old chap.
Hell yeah
lol clincially dead
Listening? Enjoying, the collaboration of these guys... 😳 Love it too much❤
Listened to nothing but rap, hip/hop and R&B the first 20 years of my life. Been on a classic rock binge for the past 4 to make up for lost time!
Any regrets?
Glad to see your making up for lost time 👍🤘
@@theodoretschannen6794 Thanks, better late than never. Hope you and your loved ones are well, brother.
La banda más legendaria de la historia .. Únicos e irrepetibles.!
Menos con lo que hay ahora
Che…te acordas cuando toco en BsAs? 😉😎
Great song from absolutely briilant album, "Some girls".
Still in my fresh memories time I bought LP.
Gega is mi tu
I remember this song as a 70’s kid!! It was in heavy radio rotation back in 1977. Best year ever for music, hair and fashion. The 70’s rock!!!
2024 I'M 19 AND MY DAD 58, THANKS DAD!! FOR MAKING ME LISTEN ONE OF THE BEST BANDS, THIS SONG IS HIS FAVORITE BY FAR. HE KNOWS I LIKE MORE "Sympathy of the Devil" BUT HE IS PROUD THAT I LISTEN THE ROLLING AT MY AGE
EVERY TIME WE LISTEN TO THEM, WE PLAY THE SOLOS OR BEST PARTS SONGS ON THE GUITAR
LOVE YOU DAD❤ 22/5/2024
God bless you and your father. Also the rest of your family! ☦️
You go dad
You can't get no music that's better than this old rock&roll
Amen to that.......classic rock/funk/soul....doesn't get any better that that
This song will never get old. It will live on way after we are gone. And that's a great thing.
One of my earliest childhood memories is of my Mom and I dancing (I remember the bump, to be exact) to this!!! Still brings tears of joy to my face!!!! Fast forward 45-50 years and still listening!!!
See em live if you ever get a chance.
ne
Me too i keep rolling back to them
U took the words right outta my mouth..there's something profoundly sublime bout their music...
I don't care how old you are, this song is bad-ass! Reminds me of picnics and bar-b-ques when I was kid.
seanjustinification I want to nail his dance and see what attention I get. I love rock literally in love with it I was either 2 or 3 and I saw a video of Teen Spirit and I was hooked. I was born when Cobain died.
Well there's allot of great music out there to experience. Don't turn your nose up at anything until you've given it a chance!
seanjustinification Well rock speaks the loudest.
Picnics with a bottle of wine in plastic cups making out on a blanket.
Makes me think of anxiety attacks & breakdowns. And being young in front of a public that has no real clue. So you just laugh out of awkwardness bc 🤷 it's just the right thing to do./ "Like a mad woman(man) laughing at the rain" -
I absolutely love this song, never get sick of hearing it.
Stones always such a vibe.
I'm 48 and a half and I am still jamming to this song. It is really great. It never lost its touch.
76 y.o. and ditto
and a half? lol
@Chris Williams I'm 42 and a half. 😉
A true Rolling Stones Classic!!
Hi
This song just randomly popped into my head today and is now my new jam. That is all.
I absolutely love the Stones!! I never really noticed before, but a few years back I read that this song was their ode to disco. I never really thought of it that way, but it makes total sense. The drum beat, the guitar work - perfect!!
Can't resist the rhythm of this song :)
Yo crecí escuchando a The Rolling Stones, jamás pude verlos tocar en vivo... Descasa en paz eternamente, Charli...
Hits a little different today. We’ll miss you, Charlie.
❤😊
Started to listen to them at 19 yo back in 2013. They changed my life 🙏. For any mood that you feel, there's a Stones song for you.
Cheers ya legends, thx for the music ❤️
THE BEST SONG OF ROLLING STONES,EVER.....I LOVE IT!!!!!!
it makes ya go fever
Robert James INDEED, MY FRIEND
It's one of the best, but this came after the Golden Age of the Rolling Stones had ended, and with classics like "Gimme Shelter", "Can't you Hear me Knocking","Sympathy for the Devil" and "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction" it's tough for this track to compete with some of their other greatest hits, but that's just my opinion.
Cool 👍
Sympathy for the Devil pls
Bill is killing it, such an underrated bassist
keef accually recorded the bass track on this tune.
HaliniSnow This Shit Is Funky
EWWWWWW South Park Picturs Of Shitez
Various sources say it's Wyman, including engineer Chris Kimsey
Billy Preston and Mick worked on this in 77..Preston played it on the keys and rest is history.
Classic blues/rock song by the Rolling stones, they definitely have soul!!!
The rolling Stones is the best band ever! ROCK ON EVERYONE! THIS SHIT NEVER GETS OLD! PARTY ON!
💪🏼👍👍👍👍
out of many great songs this is surely one of their best
Brings back memories when my dad would wake me up to go with him to get some coffee before taking me to elementary school and always turned into me going to school late cause my dad was just showing me all the rock n roll he knew. Love you old man ❤️
