Super simple but tight and hard punching. The best drumming imo. So many drummers today want fast complex time signatures and large fills. While it’s impressive technically, it’s just not the same feel or groove

@@santander6317 I saw the Stones live at Shea Stadium in NYC in October 1989. When they began the opening riff to “Honkey Tonk Woman” the place went wild. Next thing we knew an inflatable woman the size of a Thanksgiving Day Parade float began rising next to the stage. Back in 1989 Mick, Keith, Charlie & Company still at the top of their game.
My grandpa loved rolling stones. At his funerals, recently, we played his favorite music. This one. This music brings me back some good vibes with him. Goodbye, grandpa.

At my almost 42 years of age I finally saw The Stones in concert for the first time, 4 days ago......... These guys, at 80ish years old, are on a league of their own, 2 years ago I saw Paul McCartney and I thought that was the greatest concert I'd been to......boy was I wrong The Stones man, The Rolling Stones 🤟😭🤟
Brings back memories when my dad would wake me up to go with him to get some coffee before taking me to elementary school and always turned into me going to school late cause my dad was just showing me all the rock n roll he knew. Love you old man ❤️

I got to see the Stones in concert a couple years back, and it was an awesome experience. Mick Jagger's almost 80 years old now, but he was making moves as though he was still in his 20s. And when they played this song and the bass player got to go all out, it was amazing
For me this a grieving song. Bottomlessly sad. Not to be confused with depression, which is a shrinking thing, I find this expansive. The tempo doesn't ameliorate or apologize, giving permission to go all the way down. So raw it is healing. Lord I miss you child.
One of my earliest childhood memories is of my Mom and I dancing (I remember the bump, to be exact) to this!!! Still brings tears of joy to my face!!!! Fast forward 45-50 years and still listening!!!
Started to listen to them at 19 yo back in 2013. They changed my life 🙏. For any mood that you feel, there's a Stones song for you. Cheers ya legends, thx for the music ❤️
I absolutely love the Stones!! I never really noticed before, but a few years back I read that this song was their ode to disco. I never really thought of it that way, but it makes total sense. The drum beat, the guitar work - perfect!!
Charlie Watts left this sorrowful old world behind today. He was a REAL musician...he didn't just beat the crap outa the skins for the sake of the macho-moronic noise of it all. He made his drumming an art form unique to him, & to the Stones' amazing sounds. The quiet folks are always the strongest folks.💪🏽 Rock on in Peace, dear Charlie. You will always be remembered; you will forever be missed. Rock on. 💜🥁🙏🎶💓 🎵🤟🏾🥁💚
Charlie was a god. The man added so much to the Stones’ sound. Mick and Keith get the press (and Ronnie when he joined really meshed beautifully with them, blending in with Keith better than Taylor). But Charlie Watts was their secret weapon. The man was simultaneously always in the pocket, yet had tremendous feel. If today’s drummers aren’t studying him very closely, they’re missing out. RIP, Charlie.
Elizabeth, you nailed it!! The best worded epitaph I have seen so far. He was the glue in their early days and their constant steady ground in the years that followed, in my humble opinion.
Prayers to Mick Jagger and a complete recovery. We love you. ❤ #RollingStones One of my favorite later Stones!! 🎶🎵 This song could be released today and still would be a #1 hit. Timeless
Your so right, very sensual song and sad too as it makes you realise the feelings you have for someone and how much you miss them, even just seeing them :(
Marjus Plaku Lol Thanks man I totally agree. but last time I checked I was 25 years old so I'm far from being a little boy but I did think it was hilarious though lol.

Right, damn kids and their rock n roll... Wait a minute- aw sheeeit, I'm a fuckin geezer! What happened?!!
I'm 25 and this is no where near my era... This song has so much emotion into it... So much blood sweat and tears. Before music was put into a formula of what will sell you had amazing artist like these who were so ahead of their time it's insane!!!!!
Thank you "The Rolling Stones" your music has gotten me through some dark times. One love!
Bobby Larson I'm 13 and like the song
16 here, cannot wait to get my drivers license in 2 years and just drive around all day with this band playing at max volume
I'm a fetus and like this song is this allowed?
51. Still listening.
15, this is waaayyyy better than what's on the radio
Hits a little different today. We’ll miss you, Charlie.
❤😊
This sound and words, are born on a same day! Absolutely full new experience is every time I listen it! RARE! 💯❤️🌀
This Song Went To Number 1 On The Billboard Hot 100 Chart In 1978.
Took my Mom to Steel Wheels tour in 1989 the first night, took my dad the 2nd night.
Mind blown, loved every minute of both shows.
Mom and I picked our feet up the crowd was so packed together going into Market Square Arena.
Listened to nothing but rap, hip/hop and R&B the first 20 years of my life. Been on a classic rock binge for the past 4 to make up for lost time!
Any regrets?
Glad to see your making up for lost time 👍🤘
@@theodoretschannen6794 Thanks, better late than never. Hope you and your loved ones are well, brother.
I'm 76 and have to hear this weekly or more! Awww the memories 😊❤
I'm only 50, too young, and I'm crazy from Stones, God bless these guys
NEVER too young for the stones girl!! I'm 55 and love it!
Lol young? I’m 31 and it’s my favorite band
Cant even lie..this song got me threw trucking school..My trainer played it every morning to set the vibe😎😎 Middle of salt lake city in a 18 wheeler singing this shit loud Af😂😂..but i made it out been trucking for 15 years now!

Bad ass
@@peteyn.y.7960 same to u bro!
This song brings back sweet memories when I was kid in summer camp. I am now 53, but it seems like it was yesterday when this song came out on the radio!!!
rest in peace Charlie watts a stones legend from 1963-2021 thanks for the music SIR I'll be tuning in next year thanks for a CORKER of a upload 💯🎵🎶🎸
Is it Rock? Is it Disco? Actually, it's genius.
It's the Rolling Stones
Es Rock
It's only rock and roll, but I like it... Oops, sorry, wrong song 😁
It's a song by rockers who had to survive during disco...same goes for "On with the show", for example, when they had to endure psychedelia
Ignacio Córdova Donoso i felt it as a rock jam with a lot of blues
What a song. What a beat. What a vibe. What a groove. 😏😏😏
What a Decade ,,, The 70s KICKED ASS
Great song from absolutely briilant album, "Some girls".
Still in my fresh memories time I bought LP.
Gega is mi tu
Classic rock they say classic for a reason I'm 62 and it seems like yesterday
I don't care how old you are, this song is bad-ass! Reminds me of picnics and bar-b-ques when I was kid.
seanjustinification I want to nail his dance and see what attention I get. I love rock literally in love with it I was either 2 or 3 and I saw a video of Teen Spirit and I was hooked. I was born when Cobain died.
Well there's allot of great music out there to experience. Don't turn your nose up at anything until you've given it a chance!
seanjustinification Well rock speaks the loudest.
Picnics with a bottle of wine in plastic cups making out on a blanket.
Makes me think of anxiety attacks & breakdowns. And being young in front of a public that has no real clue. So you just laugh out of awkwardness bc 🤷 it's just the right thing to do./ "Like a mad woman(man) laughing at the rain" -
Yes!! RIP Charlie!! Amazing! Thank you for all my years of loving your drums!!🌹💜🌹
I absolutely love this song, never get sick of hearing it.
Oh what a treat this is! Devil Makes Three covers this song, but never knew it was an RM cover. It makes me love em both that much more.
This song makes me so proud of being born and raised in New York City. This song embodies NYC in the 70s it would have been an awesome Time to be around ❤️🗽
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I experienced it God it was a great time to be alive and listen to all the creativity around you!
Ain't got no Satisfaction with today's music
Cant get NO SATISFACTION! WID IT
That's a rolling stones song!!!
Agree. I want to 5 finger death punch myself in the face.
They don't even know how the right music.
Oh shut the fuck up there are tones
At my almost 42 years of age I finally saw The Stones in concert for the first time, 4 days ago.........
These guys, at 80ish years old, are on a league of their own, 2 years ago I saw Paul McCartney and I thought that was the greatest concert I'd been to......boy was I wrong
The Stones man, The Rolling Stones
🤟😭🤟
When I saw the Stones in Leeds in 1982 I just wanted 2 songs, this and start me up. We went home happy as they played both. Thanks guys.
Brings back memories when my dad would wake me up to go with him to get some coffee before taking me to elementary school and always turned into me going to school late cause my dad was just showing me all the rock n roll he knew. Love you old man ❤️
I'm 48 and a half and I am still jamming to this song. It is really great. It never lost its touch.
76 y.o. and ditto
and a half? lol
@Chris Williams I'm 42 and a half. 😉
This is pure 70s summer music. It came out when I was almost 12. Probably their best.
I love ❤️ this song 🎵 ❤️ 💕, and I love ❤️ the Stones ❤️ ♥️ 💕. Your music 🎶 🎵 was a big part of my youth ❤️ ♥️ and still in my adult years ❤️ ♥️ 💙 💜 💕. Your music 🎶 🎵 will never, ever go out of style ♥️ ❤️. I'm so blessed to have grown up with the Stones. You made music 🎶 🎵 worth listening 🎶 to. Ty,for all the memories and good times 🎉🎉. Keep rockin and rolling 🎉🎉.
I got to see the Stones in concert a couple years back, and it was an awesome experience. Mick Jagger's almost 80 years old now, but he was making moves as though he was still in his 20s. And when they played this song and the bass player got to go all out, it was amazing
This song just randomly popped into my head today and is now my new jam. That is all.
It's good to hear that young people are still listening to their stones they are a legend
For me this a grieving song. Bottomlessly sad. Not to be confused with depression, which is a shrinking thing, I find this expansive. The tempo doesn't ameliorate or apologize, giving permission to go all the way down. So raw it is healing. Lord I miss you child.
It's hypnotic, you can't resist the groove, I love it.
When I listen to Rolling Stones so do my neighbours.
Bill is killing it, such an underrated bassist
keef accually recorded the bass track on this tune.
HaliniSnow This Shit Is Funky
EWWWWWW South Park Picturs Of Shitez
Various sources say it's Wyman, including engineer Chris Kimsey
Billy Preston and Mick worked on this in 77..Preston played it on the keys and rest is history.
This song will never get old. It will live on way after we are gone. And that's a great thing.
One of my earliest childhood memories is of my Mom and I dancing (I remember the bump, to be exact) to this!!! Still brings tears of joy to my face!!!! Fast forward 45-50 years and still listening!!!
I been rocking with The Rolling Stones since I was a young kid now I’m 56 years young and still rocking
I'm 37 and still rocking
Me too. I'm 68
Amen 54
I'm 29 and I have no plans to stop. Keep rockin!
I'm 70 and Rocking every day .you can look forward. to a long life of great music.keep rocking.
“Oh, everybody waits too long” line hits me soooo very hard😭😭😭♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Yo crecí escuchando a The Rolling Stones, jamás pude verlos tocar en vivo... Descasa en paz eternamente, Charli...
Started to listen to them at 19 yo back in 2013. They changed my life 🙏. For any mood that you feel, there's a Stones song for you.
Cheers ya legends, thx for the music ❤️
One word to describe this band. Revolutionary.
Genialny zespół, genialna muzyka, ponadczasowy, nieśmiertelny utwór. Historia światowej muzyki rockowej.
The stone's are truly legendary. They've been jamming for so long.No one like them
And 🎼🎶❤❤❤❤🎹
True that
I absolutely love the Stones!! I never really noticed before, but a few years back I read that this song was their ode to disco. I never really thought of it that way, but it makes total sense. The drum beat, the guitar work - perfect!!
The bass line is just crazy.
The Stones are Bluesy AF!!! 🤟🏼💪🏽🔥🙏❤️✊
All thanks to the groove master himself: Mr Bill Wyman
Using disco tricks.
that's what I'm sayin
@@devilmate969yes and No Billy Preston is the original bassist for this track look it up.
Charlie Watts left this sorrowful old world behind today.
He was a REAL musician...he didn't just beat the crap outa the skins for the sake of the macho-moronic noise of it all. He made his drumming an art form unique to him, & to the Stones' amazing sounds. The quiet folks are always the strongest folks.💪🏽
Rock on in Peace, dear Charlie. You will always be remembered; you will forever be missed.
Rock on.
💜🥁🙏🎶💓
🎵🤟🏾🥁💚
Well said 💜🌹
yup!
Yes stones u wants kick play the stones woo woo woo always jamming/BOBSTIR
Amazing, I will never tire of this wonderful band :)
make a video of you spinning to this?
MightAndMakeup 1w Hola como están? 11w 11w 111 11w 11w 111111
I’m 13, and I always enjoyed this music. I’m glad my brother and father taught me this kind of music 👏
CLASSIC ROCK🤘🤘🤘🤘
Mick is the man, and I swear those smokes are keeping Keith Richards going!!!!! Rock on fellas!!!!!
Prayers to Mick Jagger and a complete recovery. We love you. ❤ #RollingStones
One of my favorite later Stones!!
🎶🎵
This song could be released today and still would be a #1 hit. Timeless
If this song doesn’t make you feel sexy or sensual, you’re not human!!!
😘
Smouldering 👌🏼
Your so right, very sensual song and sad too as it makes you realise the feelings you have for someone and how much you miss them, even just seeing them :(
Amen babe
Agreed! Lbvs
I remember this song as a 70’s kid!! It was in heavy radio rotation back in 1977. Best year ever for music, hair and fashion. The 70’s rock!!!
You can't get no music that's better than this old rock&roll
Amen to that.......classic rock/funk/soul....doesn't get any better that that
RIP Charlie, i blast this song on the radio every time it comes on, timeless
I first heard this tune when I was 12 years old. Loved it then, love it even more now!
Came over from YT music to say: I MUCH prefer this version to the Re-Mastered Version. Thanks!
I love riding around town jamming to this song!
