I've been thinking about downgrading to a used 1860 tracker (reduce debt, reduce weight). It looks like you guide out of this boat perfectly fine? I currently have a 21 foot Excel Catfish Pro. Thanks for the video!
I’ve been in several brands of that style boat/ setup-All pros/cons you mentioned were the same. (My Cuz has a G3, and fishes for giant catfish in the Mississippi near Memphis)a highly versatile boat that can be rigged endless ways. Probably my next style boat because there so tough.
Really interested in getting this boat. Only limitation is garage space. Current garage is 22’ long and 7’ tall. Would you have any idea the length of your boat with trailer? Not sure if you have a swing tongue but I’m assuming id have to get one to get close. Also any idea on the height to the top of the windshield? I appreciate it!
My garage/shop is really big so the whole boat and tongue fits. Now my garage door is only 6 feet high. I had to takeoff the bar and windshield to get my boat under the top of my garage door. I think I got the dimensions for the Heights off of bassproshop.com, a folding tongue would be handy in a normal garage. If it's still too big, I would opt for the 17 foot grizzly tracker. It would push poll better anyway.
How do you maintain an aluminum boat in the saltwater? I’m looking into buying this boat or something similar I would mostly fish freshwater but I would like the ability to go into saltwater every now and then but I’ve heard that if not maintained properly the salt can deteriorate the metal relatively quickly. Just wanting some tips on that.
salt kills regular metals fast... but aluminum is a different story. ! it won't rust at all... that's why all the saltwater boat rails etc are all aluminum...
A lot to be said for stability, especially in a chop. With modern weather info available in real time, most ill winds and rain can be avoided, especially in your "breezy" home waters.
They put flotation foam, spray in expanding foam under the floor. It will get water logged eventually, forcing you to carry around unneeded weight. If it weren’t for that I might have bought one. I bought a G3 without a floor. Put a floor & center console in myself. Water logged foam inside a boat is a show stopper for me.
trackers have a gear track around the edge. kinda like yak attack gear trac. amazon sells a base for the tracks then a attached the pole holders to the base.
Can’t wait to see that one year review
I was truly impressed with the Grizz when I went out with you on a guide last November, I am seriously considering a Grizz because of this. Thanks Ty.
glad it helped bud! can't go wrong with a tracker!

Got mine for retirement 2024. One question how do you clean it to remove salt?
just the hose after every trip .

Get rid of carpet on the trailer bunks so they can't hold salt. And wash everything good that's it
Really good versatile boat, comfortable to fish in. If you were going to sell it, I would come get it this weekend.
lol.... u said you were looking for one!~
Does the stock trailer get tore up from saltwater?
Mine was ok for two years. Then it was in need of parts. Won't last as long as galvanized or aluminum
How is it in the Hot Texas summer time?
hot hot! 90's everyday... heat wave hits it will get over 100
can you not center the trolling motor?
nice boat
when its deployed its more or less in the center.
What type of trolling motor and depth finder?
minn kota terrova 50lb
negative on the depth finder... we only fish in 6"- 24" 90% of the time.

great point on the weather in real time! see it coming on a radar!
Does your have a tunnel hull?
no. flat bottom
what do you tow this boat with?
Dodge ram 1500
What depth finder do you use, I just bought this boat.
Is there any issue with hull slap?
not for me ... the semi v sharp entry is key. it cuts really well... since its such a large boat I tend to push pole down wind also.

The paint is horrible. I have a 1754 and am very disappointed with its wearability.
How did you mount the Push Pole Holders ?

I have a vid on rigging the grizzly tracker also
