@@AdamRyanA Frogs have large pupils 😉 I’m looking to do a 1232. How skinny does something like this get with all the goodies loaded up? I’d love to upgrade from a kayak to the smallest Jon boat with similar build.
Amazing build, and the way you fabricated the deck to the existing well used boat shape was awesome. Top quality finish. That’s one expensive Jon boat!!
this just tells me to never start with a bare john if u want a bass boat.. just get a older bass boat, slap some paint on, done.. i got a john myself but just use it as is... can leave it outside all year no worries..
The fit and finish on the sheet metal by itself is amazing guys!!! My god you guys have got to fabricate or something of the sort for a living!! And the amount of time that went into welding measuring and coming up with what goes where on that one top piece is insane!! Nice work guys
Well done. Guys… only love of boats could drive a project like this. Great build. Classic power. No tricks needed. Just a bit of oil in the gas and a pull on the rope
Ok, so my Dad past away years. Defiantly my greatest hero. He was a mans dad if ya know what I mean. Don't have nothing from my dad but a few photos. 1 day at my moms, helping in her yard I tipped over a tarp and here lies this same boat. Was my dads dream to fix this boat but he always poured money into us. So here lies my journey this time to fix this boat, I know he will be here fixing it with me!!!! Now to save some dam money!!! 4 kids are draining, same battle, but I will over come!!!
I did that to my 8foot jon boat when I was a kid like 35 years ago o I did it out of plywood so it was probably a little heavier than that one but mine did ok in calm waters but in rough waters it was a little bit of a problem. Lol but I keep it like that for a long time. It was great for bass fishing in small lakes. You did nice work good job.
Team work is amaizing, idea is great, timelaps speed is only for smart and sober (the rest of us go crazy after 5min), if you all make your living of that - i hope you sold it for 100k (as otherwise you are making $5/hr with all that effort). Very nice and entertaining! Thanks a bunch!
Badass build guys! I got a 22’ StarCraft I’m dreading on getting started, I got it stripped down to barebones, but now I’m not sure how I want to go about puttin it back together. Thanks for this video I’ll be following
Wow!! Phenomenal job. This boat FOR SURE is finished much much better than some $20-30k big name bass boats I can assure you. That's what's depressing is looking at new show room boats and seeing all the cut corners and cheap materials. I would buy today if whoever owns this wants to sell it. And I'm serious!!
U mean to tell me I waited 18 minutes to watch y’all put that out dated antique power plant on that masterpiece??? It deserves a 4 stroke jet drive 40-50 hp with stick steering!!!! In my opinion u could’ve bought a new bass boat for the parts and labor y’all spent, anyway great build
If the motor runs good…..I’d slap that bad boy on there! If it were my boat, I would have gave it a new paint job and new decals but it’s not my boat….. good build though!
Thought I recognized the logo! PB Lodge is a killer looking place! I’m a chickamauga local and can’t wait to stay there. Give Blue Water a run for there money!
Dam bro. Even at double the speed your camera skills are epic. Thanks for documenting the whole build. That a legit production level boat. With all the talent in that room you guys could merge into your own boat building business and blow up TBN / NCB / FewMan / PCB / Fireant / JDS / AR to a Nationwide brand. Even if you don't want to build boats for a living you could be the quality control fishing / videography man. Just saying the future is bright.
I'm inspired by this project for sure but the editing style on this video is gonna give me a seizure lol. We don't need to see every rivet go in. If you feel like we'd have lost something here by NOT seeing every one I'd say I would rather see it a 30 minute video rather than speeding it all up to fit into an 18 min one. There's just so much movement lol but I don't wanna just come off as negative. This is a really great project. I'm super impressed by the skills you guys have.
Turned out amazing. Would love to see a cost breakdown. Jon Boat Materials Labor My guess the final costs would be jaw dropping. Imagine one day this beautiful boat will be in someone's backyard under a tarp and some UA-camr lol will turn it back into a Jon Boat. 😆
@@AdamRyanA thanks for the ballpark number,,,, most (everyone else??) would never do that. It’s not unreasonable and the end prod is worth it really. You would never get a factory made boat of similar build/quality for double that! AND they have the economies of scale in buying bulk products! If you had Nate build the actual hull as well, I’m sure it would get close to the $16K mark, but I really thing a manufactured boat built by a factory would run $20K - $22K as outfitted.
