The white residue disappeared as my hair dried.
Took my hair foreverrrrr to dry like literally two days ugh.
By day 3 some parts of my hair had flakes so don't be heavy handed during application.
I still like the products.
These products do not MAKE curls lol so yeah it’s only gonna DEFINE what I already got. ❤️

This works so good on my 3c hair but I didn’t like it on my girls 4a/4b hair! It just didn’t seem as defined.

So many people watching this only got from it that they wish it had more definition. The coils are super defined, they’re just smaller and kinkier than people like to see. It’s like all naturals want super defined type3 hair or they’re not here for it. So sad!

I am learning the difference. My hair is 3c but both my children have 4a/4b. I used this same product on my hair and their hair and the look was definitely different. However I think they have more than 1 texture because the kitchen seemed to have more of a 3c hold while the rest was a tighter curl pattern. I’m glad I found this review as it will help me a lot with their hair care!

I used it last night and love it. I’m heavy handed so I got flakes. You don’t need a lot of this. I also wanna say I’m type 4b 4c and I don’t get the obsession with loose defined curls. Your hair looks fabulous. People complaining about it not being defined enough, remind me of people who once said our hair wasn’t straight enough

why is our hair tex. considered not curley? If our hair was str8 it cud not rest like this. Our hair is actually the curliest bc it has a much tighter curl, it just lacks moisture frm natural oils bc our curls are not loose. Society really has a lot of us thinking our hair is fucked up/nappy smh, when we are truly the only ppl on the planet to absorb the sun/naturally prevent scalp cancer(no hat required)!

Have you tried Talia Wyjeeb Green Apple and Aloe? The line is bomb for tightly coiled 4C. I use their curl definer for Wash and gos and get amazing results. And for the shrinkage, I use the Dickey method and use a blow dryer at the roots while stretching the hair out and it's gorgeous, full volume, elongated, 4C hair.
That curl definition is 💯. Omg. But it’s super beautiful 💛✨.
My 13 year old daughter was tickled to find an adult named Alexia! She said I named her a child's name and no adults are ever named Alexia. I bought the whole line from Sally when I ran out of shampoo - used it loved it. So I realized I didn't have a souffle custard twisting product went back and got this. I used this Friday in a twist out, it stayed supermoist and I didn't unravel until Monday because I was waiting for it to start feeling dry (that never happens with any product). Ok it's been 3 days since Monday I needed no additional product, it still has a moisturized feel. I retwist every night and when I take it out it looks more like a wash n go then twist out (that never happens with any product). It definitely did not get dryed out - which usually happens. It's day 3 now and I am just now starting to look a little rough - which is quite unusual. I am happy with it and I think I just need a different technique. PS. I am a 4c probably all the fours and I do twist out primarily because I know my hair responds to it well and I get decent definition. I think this product (and I used bunches of products) may just make a wash n go a reality for me.

Who are the people saying there is no definition or should be this or that. If you're not type 4 why are u here cos this is how our hair behaves. The reason why we dont do wash n gos. Some of these so called naturals tire me to no end!!! Beautiful results lady.

Outstanding!!! Definition and shine...I'm starting to love my wash and go (go figure-it's like 50-60 degrees) here in the DMV🤔 I use my blow dryer on low heat and finish with a cool shot...I don't like my hair to be wet for too long...overnight for a fresh twist out is my Max. I'm all excited about Mielle again💕

I just tried this, the leave in and custard. Even after drying it still looked wet with white spots here and there. I have decided I don’t like custards. It gives me movement and definition but it looks too frizzy.
For some strange reason the leave in from this line did nothing for my 8 year old daughter 4c thick hair I wanted so badly for it to work just didn't do the trick any suggestions

For the LCO METHOD.. which of these products would be the cream? The twisting soufflé or the smoothie? Between the twisting soufflé and the curlaide from Camille rose, what are your thoughts?
+O Love either one of them could be the cream. The twisting soufflé is just thicker which is better in my opinion for thick coarse hair. I have never tried the curlaide from Camille rose but I love their almond Jai twisting butter. That is my favorite twisting butter
KandidKinks which is your favourite twisting butter for hold, definition and moisture. Noticed you've tried TMC curling sorbet. Trying not to use gel but my SM loc and braid butter doesn't hold but I get incredible softness. To find a 2 in 1 would be ideal! Thanks in advance!

Hey! I’ve tried the custard myself and loved the hold, definition and the great scent but I did have build up and flakes once it dried but I may have used too much. Maybe you did as well. I’m gonna re-do my hair but use less product to see what happens!

The leave in, curling custard & twisting souffle are all free of silicones & isopropyl alcohol bc I had the same concern. The only one that does is the curl smoothie.
Shemaiah yeah I think I'm just going to skip the smoothie. That's where those ingredients are found.
Shemaiah what about the styling gel and edge control?
The edge control doesn't have bad ingredients but it does have wax which I dont like using bc it can cause build-up. The styling gel did have a silicone but i just looked up the ingredients & it doesn't anymore 🙌🏾 however be careful using carbomer & Copolymer they cause build-up but not as bad as silicone.
I didn't like how to turned out because I couldn't see enough of definition. I think the product is made only for twist out / braids however I also think that the custard will work for those who have more loose kinky texture pattern. It would be great if the made a gel as well .

KandidKinks once you get the hang of wash and gos you will start to get more definition and master them. Plus your hair looks 4b not 4c.

Girll you better fall in love with that hair. Yes it's hard work trust me I know I got a whole lot of it growing out of my head 😭😂 but at the same time it's beautiful and deserves to be loved as much as the next hair type. All love❤

It depends on what you're going for. If you obsess over having perfectly defined hair all the time then, yeah.
Tbh, if you moisturize with the right stuff for your hair, and use the right technique, 4c twistouts can last weeks.
I recommend you stop deep conditioning every single week. It's not neccessary unless you have color and it's time consuming. Buy a good detangler like the cantu coil calmer or Carol' daughter to detangle before washing. No need to pre poo for hours or overnight with oil. That should help save time. I'd start with this collection or taliyah Wahid if you're still really lost.
