The curl custard gave me great definition but I had a lot of flakes and I said it to some girl on Instagram. Then the lady who made mielle organics (Monique) commented back and told me to try it with less jell (cause I’m super heavy handed with products lol). So I tried it again with not so much jell and I didn’t get any flakes but I thought that was very nice of her to actually care enough to comment back.
Her customer service is A1. I requested products be sent to my hairstylist at the time to try on her clients (including me). She sent my stylist products. I was pleased and thankful.

@@alexianicole7268 doubt it. Her race doesn't speed up the rate hair grows. Hair grows on average 6inches a year that's all hair types, what reduces that is breaking off the ends due to over manipulation, not trimming and lack of moisture.

@@Windgoddess78 Keep your routine as simple as possible. I think type 4 naturals tend to overdo it.

Pink is definitely your color 🤗❤️❤️. I use this line regularly and I hate the smoothie, the leave-in only mixes well with the custard (use it for my wash and gos regularly). The custard doesn’t mix with the soufflé well. If you want to play with the line and use it up, just make sure to use the mixing the products together test. When applying these products, they work best on wet hair. I have low low porosity hair and the flaking is real. The smoothie is the worst product in the line and doesn’t mix well with any of the others. I know you don’t care too much about definition, but if you ever wanted a more defined wash and go, use smaller sections. Awaiting the next video. 💁♀️🎉
@Treshauna Price...thank you for this info. I thought it was just me. Spent ALL of this $ on this line and they don't work well TOGETHER!!! How is that even possible???
Sha'ron Jenkins keep in mind each of them is meant to be individual stylers. I just think when the line was created they didn’t take into consideration that type 4 hair requires you to layer your products to keep moisture in your hair. I’ve tried other lines where the products hated each other in the line, not just mielle.
I use the leave-in conditioner with the moisturizer or curl cream when styling my wash and go but more like damp and go for me. I also use the curl custard with the curl cream, moisturizer and leave in conditioner which I've loved using over all other products I've tried. I find the products blend well depending on what your mixing.

I’m so happy I came across your page !!!! My hair is a short fro exactly like yours and I have very coily thick hair. I truly believe that if my hair was to grow out to the length of yours, it would be the exact same. I have low porosity hair and I’m having trouble with keeping moisture in and really bringing my coils out and I’ve been researching new products to try. I have trouble with thick products, so I need thinner ones. Thank you for this !

The leave in and the souffle are the best combo for a twist out. It leaves no residue and no flaking. Just make sure your twisting on wet hair

You’re such a badass for maintaining your natural fro! As a black person its 10 times the work styling and maintaining 4C hair than it is any other hair type.
I don’t know what you did differently with your hair (I don’t know much about type 4 hair) but it looks incredible in this video!

I used to apply things in my hair all randomly and all over but then i started splitting my hair in sections (4-8) then i would apply the products. better absorption and i used way less. (more time consuming though)
I've found that the sectioning method causes me to use much more product on each section than a palmful

This is one of my favorite lines! I love the shampoo, conditioner and leave in! Custards flake on my hair in general so I have to layer a gel on top. This didn’t leave my hair dry and it did elongate it. As someone that like the hard crunch and deep definition, this does it hands down. The smoothie is 🤷🏾♂️. The smell is amazing! Good review

The leave in is the only thing that keeps my hair moisturized next to Aunt Jackie’s Quench, I love it.
I really really reallllllly love the leave-in as well! I can always rely on it to extend or avoid frequent relaxer touch ups. It really creates a brilliant slip between the two textures - my new growth and relaxed ends. It’s the best leave-in I’ve ever used, and I have tried a bunch of products

I love the leave in... for my low porosity (LP) thin 4b strands struggled with severe dryness and I stumbled upon it by mistake...I warmed my LP hair with a lot towel and warmed the leave in... my hair (Gloria) ate well... and the dryness is a lot less severe ♥️ I love your reviews!!!!

Your hair looks beautiful. With a regular conditioner the moisture is made to only last you for 1-2 days. It’s designed for those who are frequent washers or anyone who intend to restyle their hair in a couple days. Deep conditioners are designed to keep moisture for 3-4 days. So using a regular conditioner as a deep conditioner wouldn’t serve much of a purpose.

You have to use an oil or shea butter with the twisting soufflé. I use it with shea butter to avoid the white residue. The leave in and twisting soufflé are my favorites in this line.
The Carol's Daughter Almond Milk Sulfate-free Shampoo is the best for Type 4 natural hair! You should definately give it a try! It conditions well and has awesome slip to it for easy detangling! You look amazing as always by the way! 😍😘

OMG! FINALLY someone with my hair type and issues! LOL I wasn't impressed with the smoothie. I definitely will not purchase both the custard and twisting soufflé to use together. I WILL try the leave-in and regular conditioners. I do use the spray leave-in and I do like it but I use a lot of it. Thank you for your review!

Thanks for this review- almost considered buying this line this past weekend- glad I didn’t. Something I recently learned from a hairdresser that you may want to do with your twist outs- try to unravel them from the top not the bottom- creates a 3D affect/frizzy hair. Though you don’t care about looking frizzy but meh- try it and see!

I am a new subscriber and immediately clicked the button when I saw your hair texture. Love your videos. I want to say please start sectioning your hair and use hair clips when adding product. I used to do the same thing you do but now I section and I feel I use less product and get more even distribution.

I like the pomegranate curling custard with the white peony leave- in spray from the original line Mielle has. It's a perfect combo for moisture and hold. I have type 3c-4a hair that's shoulder length curly. I get a full 5-6 days on my wash -n- go. I normally fresh on day 4 if the weather is terrible, but weather is good.... I just must my hair with water shake and go.
I use the mielle curling custard with the shea moisture coconut and hibiscus curling smoothie. They blend well and I don't get any residue and I have low porosity hair

New subbie. Great review...this collection has been a great addition for me. I tend not to use the refresher spray b/c of the stickiness 😐 but I agree in a clutch it can be a "go to".

I absolutely love this line! I have hair just like yours and like the soufflé styler the best. I find that your hair needs to be wet in order for there to not be a residue. Also I also put oil on my hair after applying the styler but before twisting it
