Like this comment if you are 100% cool with Static continuing with new albums with Xero as frontman. Wayne is an icon, but a band is more than one man
I am 100% cool with it I'm happy they can move on and keep making badass music
I hate it just as much as I hated “new” Alice in chains. It misses the point of Wayne’s vision and I can tell by the song name. Wayne’s songs were simple accessible and to the point. That was the genius of them. What the hell is an otsego placebo? Everyone knows what push it means
Edsel does an amazing job
@@baalgaang1925 ...Really, dude? You didn't feel that way about Otsegolation, or Otsegolectric, or Otsego Amigo?
as a morbid angel fan, i couldnt agree more
I am so happy to see Static X is still killing it. Xero you are doing a great job. Wayne rest in peace brotha.

Edsel*@@franko69
Can’t agree more.
He sounds like a great vocalist to carry on the legacy.
@@jimjam5012 it's also dope's vocalist
The "Xero situation" is one of the best tributes I have seen in music ever. I think Wayne would love how it turned out.
Lol he's rolling in his grave. The band did not get along before his death. Basically Wayne got sucked into Tera and scripts at the end of 2000s, got himself killed, and now the band can keep the static-x brand alive for monetary purposes, and I guess some history... but I think they're just cashing in on the brand. Can't blame em, but let's not pretend this is a happy story. It's business.
@@thekillerbunnyWell if the majority of members are ok with continuing it's not really important what anyone else thinks about it. I think if the members honour Wayne then I don't see why they should be made to stop performing in this band.
@@thekillerbunny Is it fun being this miserable?
@@thekillerbunny how about u take a toaster bath.
@@thekillerbunny Wayne's own parents support this as a tribute and even attended some shows
Wayne would trip out to see a robot looking of himself and would be very proud of Edsel for keeping his legacy alive..
I think Wayne would be proud to see what Static x has done in last few years
I was thinking the exact same thing
Hell yeah. This IS Static X. They are respecting the hell out of it!
This is the first time I'm listening to the band since he passed.
I couldn't do it. Because I loved the music and his performance. This felt right in the chest like he is still alive on stage. ❤
💯
Wayne came back as an undead biomechanical entity named Xero.
Usually when a member of a band dies (specially the frontman) the replacement just doesn't give the same feel and it fails a lot of the times, Static-X is a rare example of it being done really extremely on point and professionally
They have the added benefit of having a lot of old unused vocal tracks Wayne had stashed away
@@KruggKruscherpyeah I agree this is a once in a long time thing. And then now knowing there’s all these lyrics that are being used to continue the legacy I think is even more of a once in a blue moon thing.
Another example Is Alice in chains
@@DiegoFernandez-lw4rtYep. I mean, Fear Factory is doing the same with the new kid Milo, he not only sings similar to Burton, but he dresses, moves, stances, utters the same catchphrases as Burt, and even does his hair like Burt, i mean, he even dyed his hair blonde and the same half bald half hair haircut that Burt used. Its like: Dude, nice cosplay
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Yeah, it's done really well. But it just feels a bit weird considering the history between Wayne and the rest of the band. Would be different if they didn't have a falling out, bad history, legal issues between them, etc. But that's not how it happened. Wayne even wrote Machine album by himself and it just got worse between them. So for them to come up now to take it over and run with it with a pretty much copy of Wayne is kinda...i don't know... mixed feelings. Especially cuz this song and video is damn awesome.
My ex roommate, Scotty was the biggest metalhead I ever met in my life. He loved this band so much. And like me, and the rest of us, he missed Wayne so much. This video brought me to tears because it got me thinking about him. I really wish he was around to see this. He would’ve loved it. This one’s for you Scotty.
What happened to Scotty? He get beamed up...?
@@sickbreed66 as someone who shares the same first name as this guy's obviously deceased friend--NONE of us ever liked the Star Trek jokes. You're not cool, you're not clever. More importantly, fuck you for making such an idiotic comment in response to this guy that posted his comment because he was having moment while watching this video, because it reminded him of his friend and he was re-feeling the loss.
Stay strong brother. Keep remembering your metalhead friend with happiness and good memories
@@mathiLKJR10 thank you.
Its nice to see Edsel keeping Wayne's memory alive.
No one could do it better. his xero creation is such a perfect way to honor Wayne and keep his image as the front of the band.

When Wayne left us, someone said there would be no more Otsego songs. Glad they were wrong cause this song is fucking fire.
Tbh I'm glad tho cuzz Otsego is my home town 😂
Lumen.
Another"otsego" wrote for the fan.😊😊
PS. I like"otsego amigo" the most.😅
🤘🤘
I mean who thought they would return. Let alone like this.
Saw them last night. Edsel Dope does an amazing job singing Wayne's songs. The band does great work of letting it be known that they continued Static-X in Wayne Static's honor.
Even the concept of replacing Wayne with a "robot AI character" that is trying to copy his movements seems like something Wayne would have loved. We all know Wayne was a sucker for sci-fi movies.
Jesus freaking Christ, man!! WTF?! I've been a fan since Wisconsin Death Trip, and this... THIS KICKS F*CKING ASS!!! I don't get too excited about music anymore, but I FELT this. Fantastic job, guys! I'm so happy to see you all back and carrying on ^_^
Yeah i'm pretty impressed. This song fucking slams.
Hopefully vol 2 is more like this than the cartoon zombie song.
You damn right!!! 🤘
After all these years, Static-X still shreds and melts faces with evil disco!
Commenting and liking due to your evil disco reference 😈😈
true fact
😂 Otsego disco🤘
I am sure Wayne is proud they are carrying on the legacy that is STATIC X even if they all had a falling out! If I was in a well-known band and died, I would want my bandmates to carry on and keep creating art for the world!
ALL HAIL, THE CULT OF STATIC!
Umbasa. I have a hard time listening to static-x and the prodigy nowadays, made my peace jus hard hearing your… not role models but… hard to explain. They were jus there. Whenever I needed them. Growing up wasn’t fun so had music, video games etc at least. I’m jus glad queen of the Stone Age signer got better cuz I don’t think I can handle having most my comfort music lead singers of been departed.
@@WandererNamedGuyAgree. I'm all about consistency, and the thing with Static-X is that Wayne was the constant, the one who never left, the rest of the founding members were in and out several times and after Wayne's passing, they decided to reunite again on a permanent basis, so it feels like they were saying: Hey.. Wayne is gone... Lets get together again. Kinda messy if you ask me. At least in the case of The Prodigy theres still consistency, since Liam and Maxim are still there since day 1 and never left, so it doesnt feel out of place for them to continue after Keith's passing, which is the opposite case of Static-X. They have the right to continue legally speaking since Tony has full ownership of the brand, but in terms of legitimacy, it feels messy. Same with the whole Burt and Fear Factory situation.
Although I do enjoy it and it is cool in a way, it mostly feels like a money grab and money making endeavour rather than a true to what Wayne wanted type of thing considering the history with 2nd album and Wayne going off his own way and wishing he would have sooner. It's even weirder cuz the vocals & looks are a version of him, rather than just taking on a new persona/vocalist. But it's kinda respectful since it's Edsel from Dope. IDK, mixed feelings. Plus this song and video is damn awesome. @@Jasonv078
I doubt that Wayne would be totally cool with this. I think that he would feel exploited. Unless his family is benefiting from it, that is.
Why don't these guys do their own thing?
@@NothingNowhere-vu5oq kinda was my thought at first. Kinda still? Like I’m sure there has been sit downs figuring out the logistics of this. Cuz it’s almost been a decade now, I think it’s ok.
I was kind of skeptical when they said they were gonna carry on the Static X deal but when I heard Edsel the first time doing stuff I was absolutely blown away and he is doing Wayne super proud for sure... First time I ever saw Static X and Dope was with Seven dust way back when and now they are touring together again and I am over the moon
Yeah, I think his vocals fit really well. I also really dug the look of the mask and his whole getup, and until I scrolled down to the comments I hadn't even heard that Wayne passed away. Apparently, I completely missed that news and hadn't looked into the band in long enough, but I kinda dig the theatrics and the attempt to resurrect Wayne as a cyberpunk zombie. There are so few bands who could ever get away with something like that, because outside of Slipknot or Kiss--I can't actually think of another band where a different guy in a mask/costume replaced a former member.
I saw Dope way back in the day when they opened for Kid Rock, because they were getting some radio play of their Dead or Alive cover. I recall them putting on a good show and enjoying myself at the time, but I never really got into them, because I personally felt they were making a mistake with the over application of distortion (along with flange/chorus effects) on the lead vocals. There were parts of the songs where it absolutely fit, but other times where it was a little to much and it just hurt the intelligibility of what they were saying lyrically. I don't know if they've eased up on that in subsequent years or deviated a bunch from that first album (might go check them out now) but I think that particular style of vocal production works extremely well in this context. It's aesthetically the right vibe for a synthetic looking robot guy to be more distorted.
Edsel is incredible. Not only his voice but his stage presence just feels like Wayne never left.
Rip Wayne! Edsel does a great job of keeping his spirit alive! 🤘💀🤘💀🤘
Sounds like Wayne was never gone. R.I.P
Nice to see the band tearing it up, keeping the legacy of Wayne alive, and hearing TONY'S SCREAMS, YEAH!!!
Bad Ass that the Bassist is in Fear Factory and Static-X. Xero sounds exactly like Wayne, it’s a trip. Been a huge fan of Static-X since their first album. A Buddy of mine, gave me their autographed tribute poster, best gift in World. Only missing Wayne’s Signature, RIP Wayne, you are missed Man!
This is a banger. I didn't realise this had been hiding on a record that's four years old now.
You know what, I don't even care if this song is getting a late music video release. I always thought this needed a music video. Stoked to watch it in a few hours. Even more stoked for Vol.2!! Let's f**cking go boys!! 💪💪
Xero is killing it as the front man you guys are still killing it. That being said I still miss wayne so God damn much! Never thought I'd cry at a metal concert but when they played cold in Portland most of us did. Love you guys
If Wayne was still alive, I would believe that this was him singing. Impressive Feat. Well done fellas. Killer Track.
Masterpiece. I been waiting for Disco Otsego,From Heaven,Take Control
Take control is my favorite on album
Hmm you're Right.
Every new song that comes out just keeps Wayne's Legacy alive great job guys

Saw these guys open for Zombie about a year ago and they fucking owned it. I had no idea they were still touring after Wayne’s passing until i saw them in the bill. I was surprised by the tickets from my wife for my birthday and was so stoked to see zombie return to my neck of the woods, after 10 years. But that night Xero made me a fan all over again. Good job guys, you’re fucking killing it in 2024!
Honestly how many “classic rock” bands are still out there on the road with, like, one original member playing the hits… These guys are putting on an AWESOME show and creating new (good) music so I hope they keep rockin’ out👍🏼
This has to be one of the most amazing rock band comebacks in history! How Edsel (aka Zer0) can sound this close to Wayne in terms of sound and quality just feels like Wayne was resurrected. Freakin incredible!
I need a shovel to smack my calendar so that the release date of Regeneration 2 to come faster
I have been listening to this song on repeat for 5 days since discovering it. :)
Jesus, I had to double check what year it is; nothing else is sounding like this these days 😮😮
Heavy metal disco never dies! RIP Wayne
I can't believe that they keep putting out some of the best material Static ever put out. Thank you Tony Campos for doing this unlikely thing of bringing Static back
YES!!!! Never let Wayne's legacy die!

Definitely one that DESERVES a dedicated video!
This is my absolute new favorite Static X release with Edsel. Edsel’s vox are fast and furious. Way to keep Static X alive and kicking.

Static-X putting out an absolute BANGER of a video and song like this in 2024 just makes me happy.
Danm this goes hard for no reason 😮
I think Wayne approves this.
Awesome!!!!..\STATIC-X/!!!😈🤟🤟🤟
This was suggested to me while listening to the song “Dupe - BULLETPROOF “ 🔥🔥🔥
RIP Wayne. Zero is about the best substitute you could get to carry on his legacy.
Static X started as just a band and now its a legacy and a energy to be reckoned with
when I first heard this song, I thought it was a Dope new song. Edsel is FUCKING AMAZING!
I got to see them live with Xero. Absolutely amazing concert! And for Edsel to perform with Dope first then Static X.....he IS a machine!
Crazy, my Mom took me to a show back in the day they were both playing, she was a fan of Dope, me Static-X. This shit blew her mind lol.
As a statix-x fan, I'm soy happy and proud for Tony and the guys for keeping the project alive!

Wayne must be MOSHING IN HIS GRAVE with this...
He'd be proud that they kept up the evil disco!!!!!!!
Oooooooooooooooo this is siiikkkk!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Wayne would love this
Is it silly that this made me tear up? I love this band so much, you all mean so much to me!
Badass song!!! I listen to it on repeat for the next 5 hours!!
at some point of view it's sad that they use Wayne's image to continue produce music, but i don't know a better way to pay respects for someone. He passed away, but still lives, thanks to his friends. Rest in peace.
Hellyeah Mothafocka!!! 🤘😎🤘
I got the privilege to hang out with this band granted I don't remember much lmao ....and I can't think of anyone better to rock. I'm in love. Please don't stop!!!

Took my son to see them in Lancaster, PA. Evil Disco was in full swing and it was amazing to see. 💪🏼
I was there too, it was beautiful
I miss OG staticx songs when waynes voice was the centerpiece and not being convered up by the rest of the band. I know hes gone, but i think you guys could still do that
Xero is hands down the most badass looking frontman in the game!!

Wayne is looking at this with a happy evil smile, extremely pleased. Great work, guys! Pure respect.
Definitely one of my favorites from vol. 1. Cool to see it get a music video. Saw Static-X live last year and got to meet them too through doing VIP. It was awesome.
They’re back 👏🏻👏🏻👊🏻
They been back this album been out over a year
Wayne brought back 6000 years to his music
I don’t know if I’ve ever heard a band have a second singer that nails the voice of the original singer as good as this , 👍🏽 well done 🔥

I'm so proud of this band for the way they kept going, thank you so much for keeping Wayne's memory alive!❤ The song is awesome🔥
I really like the direction Static has went. The last 2 cds they did when Wayne was alive just wasn't Static-X in my opinion.
The new material is just freaking awesome
never saw them under wayne. only under edsel or "xero". As a diehard fan though, i hope they continue. Because they've been layin the BRUTALITY down.
