Approaching 3 years of the first experience of hearing this song. I will never forget the "WTF did I just watch, and why did I love it?" feeling after that first listen. I remember UA-cam recommending it and seeing the thumbnail like "there is no way I'm going to like this". Then it starts and I'm like, wow, this is corny and kind of lame... then Kevin melts your face and Nico bellows that amazing chorus... thank you Electric Callboy for everything! Keep them coming!
I echo that feeling, from the thumbnail with the bowl cut i thought no i'll discriminate you for that haircut alone, and the name "electric callboy" thats not my kind of music but clicked it anyway skipped to the middle, not what i expected at all. I love how this band has managed to merge metalcore with happy themes but also that it's not just "haha" value but actually solid fucking music and production too. They may be joking or parodying stuff but the music itself is far from a joke.
Watching this live at good things last week in Sydney. 30000 people screaming this out at the top of their voices. Was the best experience I’ve ever had. Period You guys should have been the head liners. Also props to sum41s drummer who had no time to learn the songs let along match your energy and tempo

I discovered 'em two months ago. They made quite a few fun songs, alas, if ye go far enuff in the past... They seem to jus' be sum kinda cringe emo screamo band. It's been one album or two since their conversion to the fun side of the force, but they existed fer like ten years or more.
Eskimo Callboy wasn't allowed to compete for the German entry in the ESC, but this whole debabcle HAD to be a success story for them. I never heard of them before and now they might be one of my favorite bands ever.

It was a success in a way but their rise started a bit earlier, with the Hype around "Hypa Hypa". Before that track, they likely enjoyed a steady fanbase, though rather small. I hadn't heard of them before (I know them through a friend whose hobby is reviewing metal music who discovered them through that song and immediately sent it to me to enjoy) as I've never heard someone talk about it and from other metal fans who organize shows, it is clear that the band wasn't as big before either. Now, with Hypa Hypa, they attracted a lot of fans to the point that when this track was released, they had to add a second show in my country because the first one sold out too quickly... Now, with their snub for ESC, they likely will have gotten even more wind in their wings and I can see them become one of the most popular modern metal acts of Europe, if they aren't already. Yes, sometimes all it takes is one good track or one big opportunity. There are a lot of bands who suddenly blow up, because one track went viral.
The song is absolute fire. But seriously, the music video, the production, the feel of how it all looks. MAJOR BRAVO to the video director and producer. Seriously just such fun, hype, amazing energy video. The colour's, the lightning, the pacing. Man the drum pounding at 2:00 is just *chef's kiss* I just can't say enough good things about how the video was directed, and it definitely deserves to be talked about more. Not to mention the song is just so friggin catchy! Well done everyone involved. Beautiful.

Discovered this band with PUMP IT after someone told me they were representing Germany for Eurovision a couple weeks ago. I don't even care who the other contestants are cuz these guys deserve to win. New favorite.
Maybe Falling in Reverse (metal / rap / pop) and The Sidh (folk, metal, electro, pop) could be right up your alley. The Sidh is using bagpipes flutes and stuff while Ronny Radke from falling in reverse is a multitalented singer. Both have ofc a whole different taste but maybe you'll enjoy it.

From what I've heared EC was not selected for qualifying because their music "is not suitable to be played on the radio" or something. They do have a video on the topic on their channel.

It was a success in a way but their rise started a bit earlier, with the Hype around "Hypa Hypa". Before that track, they likely enjoyed a steady fanbase, though rather small. I hadn't heard of them before (I know them through a friend whose hobby is reviewing metal music who discovered them through that song and immediately sent it to me to enjoy) as I've never heard someone talk about it and from other metal fans who organize shows, it is clear that the band wasn't as big before either. Now, with Hypa Hypa, they attracted a lot of fans to the point that when this track was released, they had to add a second show in my country because the first one sold out too quickly... Now, with their snub for ESC, they likely will have gotten even more wind in their wings and I can see them become one of the most popular modern metal acts of Europe, if they aren't already. Yes, sometimes all it takes is one good track or one big opportunity. There are a lot of bands who suddenly blow up, because one track went viral.

Maybe Falling in Reverse (metal / rap / pop) and The Sidh (folk, metal, electro, pop) could be right up your alley. The Sidh is using bagpipes flutes and stuff while Ronny Radke from falling in reverse is a multitalented singer. Both have ofc a whole different taste but maybe you'll enjoy it.
