Duncans impression is great because he doesnt use regular Arnold lines to get it across like alot of people do, he can say any dialogue and get it down and make it funny.
i like the lewis gilbert impressions. also the video specials were great to the generation x and spider-man ones were really funny go fuck yourself lol
I'm mainly watching this because I know it will be full of great Arnie impressions.
1:05:12
'The Bonds make a man eat a toilet' may be the greatest sketch never made. I was crying with laughter. Cheers for making this dissertation less stressful lads lol
James Bond making a man eat a toilet! I'm on pain with laughter. You guys are brilliant!😂
Richard Wilkinson 1:5:10
Another awesome commentary......not listened to the other channel since these guys left.......
I'm the same, i thought i'd be fine to subscribe to both but since the lads left that other channel has become way too serious. I unsubscribed too dull for me.
Viva Val Verde!!
I unsubbed after the split.
@@darknessviking oh, they are.
Been listening to these guys since they were on the 'other' channel. They deserve a much bigger subscription amount because its one of the funniest, genuine and insiteful channels on UA-cam. I regularly rewatch/listen to their videos as they're brilliant. Nearly spat out water listening to this one 😂 Hope you carry on chaps!
I think I listened to this 100 times.
As usual. Duncan's impressions are brilliant.
Just found out yesterday you both made this channel. Glad to see you two are making new content and commentaries still, hilarious stuff and great work!
Hi Jim, welcome aboard - it's good to have you! Come along to pur livestream tomorrow if you can!
All the best,
Richard
I think we all knew what this would descend into..... was not disappointed. Keep up the good work lads
Commentary/Review wishlist:
- 'The Predator'
- 'The Rock'
- 'Sudden Death'
- 'Twins'
- Continue with MCU
- 'Suicide Squad'
- Any John Carpenter film
- Die Hard series (yes, all of them)
- Indiana Jones series (yes, all of them)
Jaws 3&4 and Godzilla 1998
Some quality(?) Statham film's wouldn't go amiss.
Crank 1&2, perhaps
Signs I always thought would be good
Wooooah. Commando Commentary? Sorry Dad, I’ll visit you post-chemo now.
"We fight for lo-ove!"
"Some where!"
"Some how!"
"Some one's gonna pay for this mooovie!"
*that was the MAAD magazine Commando spoof issue "Commandope" song lyrics.
And Richard you're right, Sherman Oaks Galleria is the same mall in Commando & T2 (though I think the exterior shots of T2 are the Glendale Galleria mall, both were staples of '80s '90s SoCal "Valley Culture").
kenchun24 and it’s not gonna be me!
A world where Liam Neeson and Arnie swap careers would make Love Actually a million times better
And Schindlers List
Neeson as Terminator had me rolling
49:00 - call me immature but I had to stop listening because I was literally in tears of laughter.
nice
May not be Arnie's best film i would have to say that Commando is the quintessential Schwarzenegger film. If you want to show only one film that defines what Schwarzenegger is about this is the film to watch.
Arnold was 37 or 38 here, he was 43 during terminator 2
Very informative.
Speaking about the score and use of steel drums the film you really want to check out is 48 Hours, also scored by James Horner. Many cues in that score are expanded and repeated in Commando. Cheers.
A commentary that won't hit you between the eyes, but between the balls
Let off some steam, Eric.
Eric Peeper put deh video on...and see what’s going on in there when you watch it...
Commando commentary.. hits like before it even fucking starts
Richard! The tagline "Nothing is more dangerous than a man with nothing to lose" was for Collateral Damage, not this one :) It's fitting for that one since he loses his family in it.
I just spotted A Fistful of Lead on sale in HMV for £6.99 (New & Trending no less), would’ve been rude not to pick up a copy.
This was gift enough but bringing in Alan and Lyn? Absolute Gold.
Bill Duke is the worst assassin ever. He noisily guns down a guy in a suburban street( in broad daylight); he relies on the showroom owner not stepping to either side (in broad daylight again); he stands in a smart suit at the docks (in broad dayligh...) with a giant radio detonator.
What is even worse is that what Vernon Wells is wearing is not even chainmail. Its grey knitted fabric. And you don't even have to be told by some close ups, cause if it was chainmail, then there is no way that pipe in the end could ever go through him. Not that it realistically could anyway.
How would we take the piss out of stuff if it was realistic?
I have an Austrailian copy of the Director's Cut, which just has a little more dialogue about Matrix's family and a couple of extra injury shots during the shed sequence.
Thankfully, one of the soldiers outside the shed was slightly h-armless.
I'll get me coat.
At 1:24:48 I believe you were thinking of 'Somewhere, somehow, someone's going to pay,' which links into the song We Fight For Love by The Power Station.
Duncan
"What happened to Sully?"
"I dropped him off over there, and put a baby in him"
Saw this on VhS in the mid 80s, never felt the need to return to it. More of a Sly guy. Maybe this commentary will make me change my mind!.
Ya know I smelled this coming. ;)
Listening to this on my lunch break trying
Not to laugh 😆
you guys are really funny
"Dehh.. filmed infond of eh live studio audience.." Still got it Duncan.
David Patrick Kelly 'Sully' also appeared in 48HRS (1982) & THE CROW (1994)
That fucking Michael Cain impression!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣
Awesome
@8:05 - The TV edit I grew up watching cut the title overlay out (when Jenny does that elbow move) and replaced it with one from the trailer. I guess because they didn't want kids imitating the moves???
This is one of the main quoted films of my friends. We worship Vernon Wells’s potbellied homoerotic Mr Slave precursor because he’s just so ridiculous in all the best ways. And Mel Horowitz from Clueless as the Noriega dictator lmao. Also I live in LA only a few miles away from the mall where Arnold throws all 29 security guards off of him in one thrust.
Why was Bennett's outfit styled on a post apocalyptic Freddy Mercury?
Maybe it was Vernon Wells alternative outfit for Mad Max Road Warrior, but he preferred the shoulder pads and the Mohawk hairstyle.
Aw shit, when the fuck did you two start a channel? Chuffed to hear new stuff lads, keep it up!
EDIT
Still chatting utter shit between trivia and observations mind you....I love it lol
Great commentary guys.
Will you perhaps do a commentary on all the dead series?
Richard, David Patrick Kelly was the boss of the clean up crew in John Wick.
He was also T-Bird in the Crow
@@1987Liono It's been so long since I've watched it that I had to look up Google images just check that you were correct. Cheers for the info.
I don't think commando rips off Rambo at all, I think its intentionally satirising it. It's completely self aware, something the Rambo sequels definitely aren't.
1:03:11 In addition I'd like to submit the following to the list of items oft busted at the time:
- Moves
- Caps
- A nut (though perhaps the latter gained popularity with Snoop Dogg's 1993 release of DoggyStyle)
"Get to the chopper" shit wrong movie my bad.
Hats of to using a Romanian football commentator at the beginning of the video ;)
I know you guys probably have a list of commentaries you want to do, but I'm really curious about your guy's views on Toys since mentioning it in the Batman Forever commentary. Keep up the great work and hilarious content.
I think I might be gay John! 😂🤣
Let’s party!
Class of 1999 just got re released
I just looked it up to check that it was the film I thought it was. Haven't seen it in years, but I do specifically remember the actor John P. Ryan(R.I.P.) being in it. He was probably the best shouty actor in the business. Also very good in Runaway Train with John Voight and Eric Roberts.
Well, you now know you must do a commentary to Predator and Die Hard 2 for featuring your glorious country! It'd be heresy not to!!
COLLIN! You Son of a Bitch!
I like the way you think.
If RoboCop was a mall cop. Would they make him stand outside Mankind?
48hrs had a lot of steel drums
48hrs also has a score composed by James Horner. I think there's a bit of it in Arnie's Red Heat, which is another of Horner's works.
David Patrick Kelly aka Sully was also in that film
@@Thewingkongexchange I just remembered that Sonny Landham played James Remar's friend in that film. Sod all to do with this movie, but I just thought I'd mention it.
What's all that quave malarkey about?
I'm surprised you guys didn't mention that Arnold's last name is Schwarzenegger.
Did I mention that the tank, is a tank?
Fun fact: the frontman for Power Station was Joe Pancake
I thought this would be a more sombre commentary, considering this a Hollywoodised dramatisation of one of your country’s darkest moments in history
Inventor of the Uzi = Uziel Gal
More Arnold commentaries please
Are you still doing commentaries with Oliver Harper?
We are not and never will again, sorry! He chose not to inform his audience on UA-cam about this so a lot of people are still discovering our channel - glad you found us!
-R
I didn't get a notification fucking UA-cam
1:22:00 I had to stop what I was doing.
This website tells you what’s in the directors cut.
I absolutely love this film and have watched it many many times back in the 80s with my dad, as well as my teenage years, in fact I think I watch it in my adult years about once a year.
It is such a fantastic film, that in reality would have sent him & Chong’s character to prison for a very very long time.
What Rambo did in that small town pales in comparison to what them two did in California, plus Rambo had an excuse, he suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder, they didn’t.

Funny as fuck...lol
Bloody Bosch, they spoil video games for Europe as well.
Call me a loon, but were alcoholic beverages involved in the recording of this?
The Royal Flush 1778 nope

No Steam sale joke. Hmmmm
