My wife and I took a "babymoon" trip to Destin Florida two weeks ago. Had grouper, redfin and red snapper for the first time. All I could think about at 11:16 was how awesome it was Madeleine could make that shot and secure the grouper... we've been watching your videos for just over a year now and it puts it into perspective how nice of a fish that is to harvest! DELICIOUS! Let me know if you want to trade some Minnesota white tail venison for your grouper catch ;) Wishing you guys all the best and thanks for the uploads!
It amazes me to no end the duration you guys (spearfishermen) can hold your breath. I dont think the majority people understand how hard that really is, when you are moving around and burning o2 the whole time. Props man.
Terrific video and I really love how you tell us to always dive safe and don’t dive beyond your capabilities. Great cooking recipe too. Nice and easy. Thanks again❤
You both do awesome I could never hold my breath that long. But y'all are half my age. Madeline you're doing awesome keep it up woman I'm proud of you like a grandma would be proud.
That looked like a fun trip! As a side note, one thing I used to do to clean up the dive gear (this is a work smarter, not harder deal). Take a big trash can (clean one) and fill it with water and throw all your dive gear into it and let it soak. So easy, and probably more effective than just rinsing the stuff off. Drink a beer while your stuff is cleaning itself!
Love the I-beams! Usually shoot some nice teardrops off that bigger pile in the second half of the video. My buddy missed a black on them about 2 weeks ago. Maybe the one Madeline shot! Go Mads! Aaron, if you drift a little south off those piles you rise up onto a shoal with single heads and rocks around. Lots of hogs and muttons cruise that area.
I really enjoy watching your videos as it reminds me of the time I lived in Key West and the Lower Keys between 1978 and 1981. I did "a lot" of diving and spear fishing between those years from Marathon all the way to Ft Jefferson. I live outside of Daytona now and have returned occasionally to do some fishing. Getting a little to old for diving though. One time when I was using tanks and diving some patch reefs just off to the west of Key West I was belly crawling under a coral ledge and the K valve of my tank got hung up in a crevasse in the coral directly above me. It's one of the few times I actually felt panic trying to creep in and I had to force myself to remain calm and figure out how to free myself. I just got to say though that I would never bleed a fish where I planned to continue spearfishing...
I missed a few of your videos but glad to see you out their I appreciate watching I do learn a lot about the ocean and life from your vids thanks keep on growing!!
I look forward to every Monday and the notification of a new video but there’s always a little extra excitement involved when I see “CCC” in the title!
Man my anxiety was through the roof for the caves when you first went in I was like o cool he peaked his head in....... Nope whole body and than some inside 😮. Your content is awesome your always surprising me keep up the great work.
Super spear fishing. Risky a bit but an adventure too it. And a great bonus with the feast. Especially the tostones with that coconut 🥥 fish device. Delicious 😋
great trip! Great shooting Madelieine! it is mind boggling to me how long you can hold your breath for! Thanks for allowing us to journey with you into God's great creation! Have a great week.
I like your comment “the meeting of the cultures”. I’ve been sharing your videos with my dad who used to go abalone diving in his younger days. It’s great to see your farm to table experience.
Great dive! Congrats on your grouper Madeleine…persistence paid off. Lovely and tasty looking recipes! My mouth was watering. Thanks again for another super video.
Enjoyed the show very much despite the sense of claustrophobia for a lil bit 😳 you continue displaying your phenomenal skills Capt. Mrs. Madeline looks great! Will handled the tostones easily, all looked delish! Looking forward to viewing your next video
I look forward to these video's every Monday but I got to tell ya, you are about half crazy. I booked back country charter yesterday and you guys have a serious shark problem. My first cast I hooked a decent Snook and the shark was on it within about 5 seconds. I got the snook in the boat but the sharks are everywhere and they are not taking prisoners. After seeing that I would never get in the water near a mangrove island, that's all we fished, mangrove islands
Totally agree shoot enough for some meals and go again. The fun is the diving, the hunt and the meals. Fresh is best. Dove the keys and the 60's and had a ball. Learned the brain and bleed, thanks, better quality fish. Still learning.
1) I've never met a woman who likes Morays 2) Your beautiful wife shoots straight - even on the first dive of the season! 3) and most importantly, she loves you dearly! Stay safe under water ever' body!! Thanks for the Monday installment!
I've been subscribed for awhile now. I found this video the most entertaining and informative. The interaction between you and Madeline definitely make it more entertaining. Northern Michigan guy trying to learn about your area, hopefully be one of your dreaded snow birds soon😉
My dive buddy told me about your channel. I love your vids. It’s so real and authentic. No flash. No horrible techno music. Keep making them like this. You guys are such a joy to this insane world.
I'm addicted to your videos and don't even have a boat or dive but I do fish here in PA!. Just received my 2 shirts ; comfortable as ever. Thanks always for your time , effort and videos!
Bula Vinaka ..!! I was born and raised in Fiji , and I would have to say , Kokoda is by far , my most favourite Fijian dish …. And you made that so beautifully , I could literally smell the aroma from all the way over here In Sydney , Australia , where I now live … I really enjoy watching all your videos , you and Madeleine , are so down to earth and respectful not just to each other , but also to your environment, to your adorable doggy , Tipsy , ( btw , I love the way you have to spell out B-O-A-T , sometimes when she’s listening to you make commentary , hehe ) and to your viewers !! Your videos are much much loved and watched with childlike excitement on my behalf , keep shining and inspiring my friend ..!! Much love and respect to you ..!! 👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️🔥🔥💎💎💎🏆🏆🏆🏆
I've looked at lots of your videos and i dont know what it is but this one had me smiling the whole time. You guys have awesome chemistry and your videos are always pure and authentic. Your wife is a great compliment. Keep it up.
I honestly love you guys; so wholesome. It's nice to have a spear / fishing channel that I can actually watch together with my kids, where the female isn't in a pg-13 or r rated outfit!
Only youtuber i will watch when it comes to cooking the fish, usually i just end the video on other youtubers when they cook but something about these vids are just so soothing to watch
Have to agree with your beautiful wife on this one. I’ve known 3 guys who died doing something like this, all experienced and all of whom thought they knew their limits. Madeline wants you around for 40 or 50 more years. 😀
Our MN snorkel season is just about here, and your vids always get the stoke on. Going to Manitoba again to hunt walleyes. In MN all we can spear are rough fish species, not desirable table fare species. We put on leather gloves and hand pick crayfish too, like your lobstering but way smaller tail treats. Keep up the fun adventures!
We like to come to the keys every year but the price of bringing grouper home is getting so high I have been thinking of doing a charter to get some. My wife and I both love to fish so it would just add to our vacation. Thank you for the great videos.
Aaron, try frying your plantains the Philippines method called "Banana-Q". Slice ripe, not green, Plantains in half lengthwise then fry at 350 degrees until done. Remove from grease (do not smash) and place on wire rack. Immediately put 1/2 cup of brown sugar in hot grease to melt, stirring the brown sugar will help speed up dissolving the sugar. When the brown sugar is dissolved put in your plantains and fry until the brown sugar sticks to the plantains. Remove from grease and place back on wire rack to cool. Please be careful trying to taste the sugar-coated plantains too soon, burn warning. We hope y'all will enjoy them as much as we do.
Awesome vid y’all!!! I been away for a while and back now! So glad and happy y’all got married bro! Congratulations and wish the both of you the best future ahead!!! 🕷️

14:35 That Goliath grouper is like: "Sup dude?" LOL
I really appreciate the honesty in your videos. You have a 1 in a million wife!
I won't argue that! and I try to be transparent!
Amen. Aaron appears to be the sort that doesn't put the flash on for his videos.
I'm with Madeleine!! Those close quarters were freaking me out, LOL!!! Stay safe!!
Madeleine’s tone when she said. “Babe, NO.” I felt that. But this was so much fun, with the coordination commentary and all. Great work you two.
You got a keeper capt. She is a trooper
indeed!

I was impressed with the shear size of those Goliaths and the amount of bridge rubble that's easily accessible in shallow water!!😎🤿
seriously though

lots and lots of practice! 🙏
They make it look easy, I was thinking the same
Sweet grouper Madeleine!
I've said it before...Madeleine's commentaries are always a hoot. Especially when behind the camera. Thanks, guys. Really enjoyed this one.
lol I said the same thing when she hit the grouper you go girl nice job 👍👍
Pretty cool at the end, you can see the channel heading out to the Gulf!
Terrific video and I really love how you tell us to always dive safe and don’t dive beyond your capabilities. Great cooking recipe too. Nice and easy. Thanks again❤

You have always been able to film a solid catch clean cook. But I’m going to say,the culinary coach seems to be paying off the most.🤙

Looks good, brother. Definitely want to try that recipe.

Tostones (or patacones) and ceviche are one of my go-tos with fish I catch. Nice job on that. Big crowd pleaser always.
