Before I forget to tell you....1 thing that I really enjoy about your channel is that is so peaceful....I watch UA-cam all the time and there's guys that think that they have to yell into the camera all the time to keep themselves hyped up for there video and it drives me crazy....so, Thank you for keeping it peaceful and just speaking to us like the adults we are.
Anyone who doesn't like any of your vids is wrong haha. Variety is the spice of life! I love all of it!! Adventure is the best. Don't change a thing buddy!
NRS "Boundary Boots". Knee high made of wetsuit material. Has nice tread, too. My favorite cold weather footwear for winter kayaking. Super comfortable.
Just returned to KY from fishing in Gulf and caught a bunch of snapper which I usually fry and my friend and mate on the charter was talking about making Poke with any fresh fish and I remembered your videos too and made some and also aged the fish due to your advise and man this was the best and even better the second day in the refrigerator versus the first. Thanks for teaching me new and better ways to prepare and eat fish I catch!
😊Got me twice this episode. @14:10 "Yeah, bring that foot up here again, i dare ya". And the double-stacked pots to steam. I got those pots, new idea, already spent money for.😊😅Thanks. Memphis,10🇺🇲
When I lived down there we would shrimp the same way you do. Their eyes always reflected orange. Sometimes we'd scoop up a toadfish because their eyes were orange too. Love the video. Thanks.
That small Pelicase reminded me of the one I used to keep all my hash(not legal in the Uk,still !) in years ago.We went trout fishing in The Lake District,Northern England. We walked about three miles after a successful fish (dinner was caught) to the nearest pub,got absolutely drunk, and were worried about getting back to our campsite in the dark and in a state.A lovely motherly woman who was a designated driver for her group offered the three of us a lift back to the campsite, before returning to her group of friends in the pub. When I got back to my tent, and keen for a spliff,I realised that my whole box of years of odds and ends, various cigarette papers,a small pipe…etc had fell out of my pocket in the back seat of her car,she was a very nice lady, but she scored big time that night,I really should have got a white pelicase instead of a black one !…Happy New Year Kidz, keep up the good work…from Manchester,England.
I love it when Plan B turns out just as good, if not better than Plan A! Last time I was in Mississippi I indulged in a feed of Blue Crab, sooooo good. Great video as always Aaron, thanks so much for taking us along on your adventures. Wishing you and Madeline a very happy, healthy and successful New Year! 🎉
Those crabs are so delicious ! I remember all we got were big blue crabs growing up in Key West. I would dip big crabs off the Riviera canal sea walls behind our house. Big shrimp also.
You probably won’t see this but if you do this might help you in the future. When the crabs are all backed up to structure like those were that normally means they are getting ready to bust out of their shells. Those look to me like they had already shed earlier that night, seeing how clean they were. You found a treasure trove for sure, some big beautiful crabs. If you look at the moon phase you can probably go back next month at around the same time and find them again. Maybe get there earlier in the night and catch them while they are still soft! Another great video, thank you for sharing your life with us!!
We do something very similar in the NW (Puget Sound) for Dungeness, during minus tides in November and December. A good headlamp is helpful and keeps your hands free. I also clean them before cooking like you did.
Blue crabs always remind me of North Carolina and Old Bay, they cook them in massive steamers with shovels full of Old Bay. When you get them home you lay out the newspaper on the floor crack open a beer turn on some football and go to town. One of the best meals on the planet. they were so cheap, like a dozen for $20, they even sold the sides. Thanks a lot for the video!
Blue crab… some of the sweetest meat in any crab. It’s a workout but so worth it! Good net work Aaron! I thought it was amazing of you to leave the shrimp… your channel is spectacular.
Oh, congrats on 200K followers!! If I remember correctly, I started when you had 38k? So glad it’s growing! Now let’s grow that family!! Happy New year you two!!
Thank you for "bringing us along"! I only get to fish salt water once a year. its the little extra's are very special/ fish can be caught in most bodies of water. the extra's offered bu salt water are worthy of noting. Thank you. I personally hold cat netting for mullet above fishing. love your channel.
I enjoy you shrimping / craving . Mostly I like your narration and Madilyn’s input. You both make a good couple. I could not wait to get home and watch your video. Keep them coming.
Love my blue crab! We call em blue manna crabs in Australia. Same thing but bigger with larger nippers. I have allways added half a cup of white viniger to the water and they die pretty quick.
Watching you crab the crabs off the table and Madelin losing it about them being on the move had me dying. I have been smoked by a blue. You are the expert and he about got you lol. Those things are feisty. Geat vid per usual.
Thanks Aaron for sharing your catch, clean & cook video. Sharing your cooking meal with Madeliene. That is so nice of you both eating together. HAPPY NEW YEAR to you Both.🎉🎉
Years ago I did some flounder gigging in the bay at Ocracoke. We borrowed some gear and they had an led light on a pole that lit up the bottom very well. Watching this video makes me think of that light and how it may be beneficial in this application. You could use it as a light and tickle stick!
Love your videos buddy! I live in PA, would give just about anything to spend even a 10th as much time on and near the water as you. Am here every week, another good and fun one! Happy New Year!!
Thank you so much for all your hard work and content with your videos and bringing the southwest into our living rooms! Andrew and Evelyn have an awesome New Year's Eve and a better 2025
Might be a new favorite episode being from Maryland. Watching them on the filet table reminded me of handling them as a kid - they're quick and mean! But definitely tasty. I agree with Madeline, "Shrimping Gone Right" 🤙
Love this…so exciting to find something you weren’t expecting….like a treasure! Could watch your videos all day! Btw..have you ever found any type of “treasure” while diving or fishing?
The crew has been doing really well in Titusville since late November....you know it well. There is something about the taste of the shrimp from that region that is like no other.
I think that's linguica sausage. It's a Portuguese recipe and is usually homemade from scratch from home butchered pigs. One of my good friends moved here to Ky with his wife from California. He's Portuguese and his mom shipped it to him from California every few months in huge batches. It was amazing by itself but they put it in stews, soups, rice and veggies, one potters with potatoes and a ton of chunky veggies ect. To them it was an ingredient too. I'd love to get some!
You SO need to get a headlamp. I think Black Diamond is a great entry level brand. 50-100 dollars and you can be hands free with the same level of brightness. Also, some that can go all red, green,blue/whatever are cool too. I think you will love it. :)
WOW ...Look at the size of those....glasses. hehehe I mean crabs......Well at least the glasses match the crabs. lol. Awesome video. Cheers from southern Ontario.
Here in washington when the dungeoness crabs shed their shell and get all soft, a crab with a hard shell will sit over the one with a soft shell and protect them until their shell is hard enough. It looked like that’s what those two crabs were doing. One was sitting over the other one
Lots of people try to catch blue crabs around the Chesapeake Bay. I have a couple traps but I don't mess with them much. This year I should catch some for making stuffed flounder. Bold of me to ASSume I'll catch keeper flounder 😂. Cool video, your content is always a pleasure to watch. I agree with the other comment about being calm. Plus you do cool stuff.
I really enjoy these nighttime shrimping and crabbing videos. Very different from how we catch Dungeness crab out west. Have you considered maybe mounting one flashlight to the net pole and supplementing with a headlamp? Might free up your hands a little.
love a blue crab. Funny how similar they are to our West Australian blue mana crab but just that little bit different. Out of all the ways to eat crab still love two fresh bits of sliced bread, butter, salt and pepper sandwich the best
This looks like a blast! I wonder if it's something my dad could end up doing around Punta Gorda/Cape Coral. Looks like you could use a flashlight mount on the net and a headlamp.
Enjoyed the video. I am going to my boat in Titusville tomorrow. It’s been a tough time here in WNC because of Helene. I lost a lot. It’s been depressing. I need to leave this place and get back on the water. Heading to Tarpon Lagoon Key Largo.
I grew up in Maryland. There are so many ways to catch clean and cook blue crab. Mine was to put a leg of raw chicken on a string and just drop it in the water. The crash would grab on and not let go. You just pulled in the string and lower him into the bucket. We would catch them by the bushel.. And Old Bay rocks.
BILLY MAYS HERE!!!
Ain’t that the truth!
Yep! I hate loud obnoxious videos from others. This is my jam😎❤️
Agreed ! I’m here watching to learn and listen not be yelled at me
No annoying music blasting
Just the sounds of nature, outboards and the narration from one of the chillest dudes ever
Keep being a joy to the world.
I'm tryin!
Thanks!
Thanks so much! I didn’t even know this was possible this is the first time someone’s done that! 🙏🏻
15:09, thank you for letting the female go! 🦀 🥰 So many areas wonder why they no longer have crabs to harvest. Looked like an amazing night!
Anyone who doesn't like any of your vids is wrong haha. Variety is the spice of life! I love all of it!! Adventure is the best. Don't change a thing buddy!
We dip them out of rice fields up here in A.C.E basin. Great videos.!
I would love to see you and Madeline come to Oregon and enjoy dungies.
Thank you for sharing your experiences with us!
True floriridians know how cool it is to catch big blue crabs,I could watch this all day..Happy New Year
NRS "Boundary Boots". Knee high made of wetsuit material. Has nice tread, too. My favorite cold weather footwear for winter kayaking. Super comfortable.
Wil have to check them out!
I have a pair of those, love them!
@@KeyWestWaterman I bought mine for shallow water kayak entry. Now they are my winter mucks. Also for cold weather hunting.
@@jeromewalton5553 I fell in love with mine the first time entering my fishing kayak on a frosty morning. Way more flexible and warm than mucks, too.
"Shrimp'n gone wrong". LOL Aaron Young....Making Mondays Great Again!

haha haven't caught a toad fish yet!
Excellent video 🤙 the sausage looked like Linguica, yum …..
It was great!
Another great video! Look forward to it every week! 🎉
Thank you!
“This guys ready to argue with somebody” crab attempts a backflip to try to get you. “I’m trying he’s fast!” Hilarious!

They sure are hard to beat! and thats awesome
I grew up around Baltimore, it's so much fun to watch newbies learn how to pick. Glad she liked 'em! Good job, sir.
The shrimp videos and any nighttime content are my favorite.

They sure are!
🤗Funny how with a very large tv mounted right, you guys are right in my LR. Large size. I thought to reach for a crab out the pot.😊😅

what a lovely way to spend an afternoon...
I thought so!
Love the whole circle to table, fine dining for sure ! Great vid heading in to cook up some spotted sea trout caught today in Naples!
The sausage you were cooking with is most likely a linguiça - a Portuguese pork sausage

Old Bay in tuna salad is the bomb. Add diced onion, celery, dill pickle relish, and boiled egg whites.
I believe it!

I have plenty, I can't wear it while wearing the camera on my head. uncomfortable and risks washing out the camera with glare.
That was great! Walking around and catching them at night …with a netz. Fresh crabs! Always enjoy your channel!
Happy New Year!
Hey there. New subscriber here. Love the content and your appreciation and respect for the Keys. Your recipes look amazing too.
Welcome to the channel! Much appreciated 🙏🏻

Hope you had a good Christmas. Hoping to talk to Madeline in the next couple years for another Camper spot somewhere on water! Enjoy!

Thank you love the videos watch them all

I love the variety videos, keep em coming!
I really enjoy these nighttime shrimping and crabbing videos. Very different from how we catch Dungeness crab out west. Have you considered maybe mounting one flashlight to the net pole and supplementing with a headlamp? Might free up your hands a little.
I laughed a lot on this one . 200k - congrats !
Thanks Alain enjoy the 🦀
I think you mean Aaron.
Cool love it!!!😊
I use a halogen bulb flashlight when shrimping because it reflects their eyes better!
love a blue crab. Funny how similar they are to our West Australian blue mana crab but just that little bit different. Out of all the ways to eat crab still love two fresh bits of sliced bread, butter, salt and pepper sandwich the best
That’s a great video! I think that would be awesome to do and eat!
This looks like a blast! I wonder if it's something my dad could end up doing around Punta Gorda/Cape Coral.
Looks like you could use a flashlight mount on the net and a headlamp.
You should do a fried mullet video…west central fl here and most folk smoke mullet. They have a high fat content and are excellent for frying!
I'll have to give it a try, they are in the canal all the time.
@ black mullet are tasty fried but silver mullet are the best that way
Enjoyed the video.
I am going to my boat in Titusville tomorrow. It’s been a tough time here in WNC because of Helene. I lost a lot. It’s been depressing.

@@KeyWestWatermanfirst time I’ve seen them…every white guy with a fro I’ve ever known has been a lady killer 😂
Best kind of videos
Those were some massive blue crabs, that made my mouth water.
Pepperidge Farm did a limited run of Old Bay goldfish. Those things were addictive! If you see ever see them, don't pass them up.
haha no way!
IAM from Baltimore Maryland blue crabs are the best i enjoy the videos awesome
You need a good headlamp. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Amazing fishing skills 😮
That was nice of Tuna to feed his guest and Aaron's cleaner, while you two were on vacation.
