New sprite movie! It's been over 2 years since I last made an animation, so that's pretty crazy. Does this mean I'm back? Who knows!
Wolfgun released his amazing album SUNDISK, and I just had to make something for it. It's absolutely stunning. He's been a staple in my project for years now, as the composer for bullet Bill 3, and the music behind 2 Slices of Pie and Do You Like Salmon Ok. An amazingly talented individual and he deserves all the fans he gets and more.
Also special thanks to The Living Tombstone for the new intro jingle!

How the hell do you take something as joyful as Kirby, and make me want to cry with it?! Lovely song choice and great animation!
it’s impossible not to return to this every now and again. i don’t know if you’d appreciate me picking apart a tribute to a deceased friend like this, so i’ll be brief- this really is an entrancing video. so few sprite movies of its kind evoke this kind of narrative so effectively, and on a more technical level, there are techniques carried off here that i _still_ don’t see people attempt. the subtle camera shake over everything, the way you actually made smaller versions of sprites instead of scaling them down, hell the sheer amount of custom assets in general… it’s the kind of thing that would legitimize sprite movies to someone who doesn’t care for them. i guess i shouldn’t be surprised about how much you improved considering the time you spent with the medium, but it’s nuts that a flash from 2012 is still leaps and bounds ahead of most modern sprite movies when it comes to aesthetics.
thank you for making this. i watched it as a kid before i even knew who edd was, and seeing it again years later was like watching it for the first time again. oh, and thanks for introducing me to wolfgun. this is still my favorite of theirs 😉

Up until the end I had hope that Lala was just missing or in love with someone else but... dear God that ending was a punch-No, a GUNSHOT to the gut.
Beautifully well done. The music goes along with it lovingly. You sir, are a master of sprite videos. Edd would probably tear up while seeing this, too :)
Very nice story. Didn't make me sad or anything. But I think the imagery expresses the emotions well. At least enough for me to understand why it made other people feel that way. You picked a good song.

I missed your sprite animations. I'm glad you released this. It is absolutely brilliant. Something that speaks to the emotions, like any good movie. I had a difficult time following the story when it started, but I it all came together at the end. Good work.
