hi Ivan. Interesting that you have spent whooping 14:22 seconds to review this watch :+) Yes, as someone commented, I see this type of Seiko mods all over on eBay. Mainly from Philippines. They might have done a decent job on the dial & case, but bracelet & clasp certainly need some improvements, especially lugs, fitting ends to the clasp and so forth. unfortunately, not for me, Ivan. Anyway, thanks for the review and have an awesome day!
Guess I had a lot more to say than usual coz I own the originals and know them very well!
I have the same diameter wrists as you and I have to say those endlinks would make me nuts on wrist. I also think they should have added a few pops of red like the end of the second hand and maybe some text underneath the Seiko name. All in all there are too many QC issues for me to drop $320.

Hey, thanks for the video :) I have something similar to this on my way to me in the mail right now, the idea being to "try before I buy" the real thing. While I'm sure an actual Omega wears way better, is it at all comparable to an "homage" like this?
I think you can get a feel of the size and how it sits on your wrist with an homage. And a general idea of how it looks. But that’s about it…
For anyone who wants to own an Omega Seamaster watch but can't afford one, this is the next best thing.
I suppose it gives you a feel for what the real thing might be like... that's one of the more useful functions of good homage pieces IMO

Yeah you’re right - they didn’t tell me they were changing it. Yep, I was emailing them about this prior to it being sent to me.

Good review. Pity about the thickness combined with hardly useful water resistance. Hate the take valve. And I wonder about the name Seiko on the dial? That can't be legal... I have the identical Seamaster you have and the way the crystal disappears on the original next to this homage is amazing, a feature I really like.
Oh yeah they do some magic with the anti-reflective on that glass… truly seems to disappear sometimes!

Once again something different. A complete puzzle, Seiko has a strong tradition of dive watches and it says Seiko on the dodgy dial but the homage is of something else. An Omega has a dial that looks like a badly ploughed field yet this has a half hearted attempt at that, neither appealing to those who like the original or others who don't care for textured dials. The bracelet is a shambles. It's hard to see who, if anyone is going to buy this thing. Very bizarre.
Therein lies the trick… it’s not actually a Seiko!
Is a half heated attempt at a bad dial means it’s half bad? 😄
Actually I think it is more reminiscent of the Brosnan era wave dial rather than the more in your face dial of the current model - many seem to prefer that

@@PerthWAtch I was actually tempted to buy a couple, but always stop myself from buying. I guess that mainly it was due to the sellers being in Philippines or few other lesser desirable countries. Probably even with eBay protection, it would cause a lot of headaches... that was my reason for not pulling the trigger.
