- so today i'll be showing you how to train your curls by using this super cool coiling technique I saw on instagram :) a wash day with these coils can last Up to an entire week and some change, so I think its pretty worth it. (takes about an hour and a half to do start to finish on a whole head) again, even if you do a few coils it's worth it! This has been a game changer for me. I’m so happy I came across your video! I no longer have to put flexi rods in the frizzy spots of my hair. Just finger coil them and dry. And it lasts over a week! I’m blown away, lol.
Edited to update: I bought the Texture ID styling cream & mousse to try this and it worked!!! I have never been able to do finger coils, but this worked for me! I was even complemented by the lady who does my trims. ☺️ Thank you so much! Ps. Still really love that hair color! I am tempted to color mine now. You are so beautiful! 🥰

Thanks for sharing this with us...Your results are fabulous! Ive just finished drying my hair! But I'll try this method in the morning! It's taken all day, I used a dryer for hours...when I separate a curl, it's wet inside, it's been 7 hours and it's damp in places!
If this is easier than the other method then great, cos I sometimes hear my hair break!! Even with tons of slip....I cant do it like the girls in the videos...So I tend to stick to coiling with a brush. But I love the results of finger coils when I get them right!

I have the same hair type! I tried it and it worked so good, I did it when my hair was soaking wet, detangled and with conditioner in my hair
I've learned that product and technique are everything. I made an appointment with a natural hair salon and am teaching myself to finger coil. It's so worth taking the time to learn and do your own hair. It was a bit frustrating and slow. And I'm still learning but I'm seeing amazing results!
I was wondering if someone with type 4 hair tried it.
when I do this my hair turns out looking so flat and there's no volume :( helpppp
you might not be using enough of whatever style holder youre using. also highly recommend using a foam bc it wont kill the curl like a liquid or gel style holder can.
Basically i did this in the front to shape my head and put the rest if my hair in a bun for school, hair lasted ALL day and actually got more defined as the day went on 🧐🧐🧐🤣🤣🤣, tell me ur stories trying it out!

Feel like if I did this it would ruin my hair. Low porosity hair is so hard to deal with.

What’s your hair type just so I can get an idea? I would say for looser curls maybe a cool 3-4 days but it really depends!

Lol I understand, You could be a mix of those! I would say judging by your type(s) this could definitely last up to a week, you’d probably have to re-coil a few if they get frizzy & I’d sleep on a satin pillow case or bonnet :)

Just finger coil the regular way then, the results will be the same and you can do it on short hair

@@mightyuen113 yeah that’s normal, the first time I finger coiled my hair I was surprised at how short it was and I thought that wasn’t supposed to happen but it happens to everyone. The farther down your curl type is, the shorter it’s gonna be
