(so i only did it like 3 times) Then one day I wasnt able to do it because i didnt have enought time, and sure enough i noticed it started coiling on its own. It really depends on your hair texture but this is what worked for me. You could try for a few wash days in row, every other wash day, etc. Hope this helped :)

I used to end up looking like an even more ringleted Shirley Temple, they'd be in layers from the crown..I loved it, but my mother said it looked ridiculous and she would shake them out so they looked more natural.

And now half of my hair is dammaged and wavy/straight it's growing back curly thankfully but because I keep cutting the dammage off of one side, that side is super short and I'm hella saddddd

I am transitioning 10 years of hair damage 🙂 i just hated my curles when i was younger and kept straightening my hair and used kertin and other things to keep it straight. i guess i didn't know how to embrace it or how to handle it mainly because my mom and all of my sisters have straight hair so they didn't understand the nature of my hair or help to maintain my curles unfortunately at one point my hair became soooo damaged to the point that my scalb started to bleed and I decided to take care of my hair and i am actually loving my curles now. your videos are really inspiring and they really helped me a lot Thank you so much ❤️

I thought it was because of sea water but this year (in quarantine mostly) I realized it just went wavy after drying it normally! Now I use wavy hair products and finger coil and dry it with a diffuser and it's super wavy, bouncy and voluminous! i didn't know hair could change texture over time :) It's wonderful

I have the exact same problem. It’s very hard to style those damaged parts, with the rest of my very curly 3b hair. I try to fingercoil the front or wear the frontpart up. I can’t wait till I grow it out and can cut that nasty damage!

if you want to get the best results you should always twist your hair in the direction of your natural curl pattern! Some people's hair curls away from their face and some people's hair curls all kinds of directions. If you try to finger coil a piece of your hair in the wrong direction it will come out wonky and unravel on itself. Hope this helps
The bottom part and front part of my hair r super curly, and a very spirally (3b). But my mid section (crown area) is toooooooo frizzy to spiral sometimes so it looks like flat 3a curls!!!

Im kinda looking for more of a defined and voluminous method. Cant really find anyone who shows how to get both. My hair is really similar to yours. Around like 3a or 3b kinda hair. On the inside of my hair, i have kinky curls. UGH MY HAIR IS SO WEIRD. It gets frizzy a lot too. Not really the inside tho. The inside is really defined. The rest of my hair might be damaged. I literally have no clue. Ive been deep conditioning way more often but nothing is really helping. It performs well but just takes WAY too long. I'll continue either way. ALSO, I've tried finger coiling but it really takes away the volume in my hair. I LOVE VOLUME. I definitely like volume way more then i like definition. I just can't seem to have both. (sorry, had to rant lol)

do not apply all products at once in all your hair just part your hair in sections and do one by one like this when you move to the next section and feel dry just spray some water before applying your styling products
My curls have no idea what their doing, some are literal ringlets other are like bushy roses, but it gives me a messy bed head vibe so I’m happy with it :)
I've tried finger-coiling one time before and I failed miserably. I think it's because I don't use any curl products in my hair and my hair was probably too dry... Gonna have to buy some curl gel after the quarantine

The issue with thiss is that I've high prosity hair especially my roots dry super fast and it could kinda get hard rewetting the roots anyy tips..

Part your hair into a few parts,do it one at a time. If the other part is dry,just wet it when you do them.
do not apply all products at once in all your hair just part your hair in sections and do one by one like this when you move to the next section and feel dry just spray some water before applying your styling products

My curls have no idea what their doing, some are literal ringlets other are like bushy roses, but it gives me a messy bed head vibe so I’m happy with it :)

I've tried finger-coiling one time before and I failed miserably. I think it's because I don't use any curl products in my hair and my hair was probably too dry... Gonna have to buy some curl gel after the quarantine
