This was a very comfortable travel day!!! It's very easy to travel in Peninsula Malaysia 🇲🇾 Thanks to everyone leaving tips in the comments too! You're helping tourists have a better time in Malaysia :) Terima kasih ❤ (that's thank you in Malaysian)
I am from the USA and my wife is from Penang, Malayia. We found your UA-cam Channel because my wife loves to see how people from other countries view her country. We live in the USA and cannot wait to move back to Malaysia. We are so happy to see you have fun, enjoying the food and trying your best to stay cool in the hot weather. My wife laughed so hard when you tried the Chendol. The secret is... you have to mix it up really well, before you drink it. Also, Penang Chendol is better than KL Chendol. Continue to enjoy your time in Malaysia and we will continue to watch.
Hi Chad! Thanks so much for the kind words ❤️ We honestly fell in love with this country. The locals played a big role 🥰 And yes, we will give Chendol another chance and do it right, we promise!!! Everyone keeps saying that Chendol is better in Penang, but we didn't try it for obvious reasons 😂 Thanks so much for watching our videos! Hope time flies by before you guys are back in this amazing country 🇲🇾❤️
Brief history lesson: Malaysia (formerly known as Malaya) was a British colony from 1867 to 1957 although the British East India Company started operating in the Straits settlements (Penang, Malacca, Singapore) since the late 1700s. You are headed to Georgetown, Penang, named after King George III (yes, the one who lost the American colonies). The island used to be known as the "Prince of Wales Island". Sir Francis Light basically seized it from the Sultan of Kedah. I suggest you head to Fort Cornwallis (another famous British historical figure) and learn about the history of Penang there. King Charles III (formerly known as Prince Charles) on his visit Penang in 2017 remarked on these names, jokingly said he would tell his grandson, Prince George, that the town was named after him. Penang especially, has a lot of historical landmarks from the colonial area. Butterworth was named after the former Governor of the Straits Settlements in the mid 1800s.
No lah. Pulau Pinang Adalah milik sultan Kedah, Sultan hanya pajakkan kepada British pada masa tu. Hingga sekarang P.Pinang bayar Pajak kepada Kerajaan Kedah.
i love taking the train to penang from KL.. unfortunately, they have recently retired the old ferry's which I consider one of the iconic images of penang, really full of character and a great experience. They carry both cars and people and are non-enclosed.. which gives you a great view of your surroundings. Last I heard just this very month, the govt is deciding whether to refurbish them and put them back into service. im definitely crossing my fingers and hoping for the best.
Hi guys, love your videos about my beautiful Malaysia.. I'm Malaysian and I live in Perth, Australia in the last 15 years. I must say everytime I go back home I have the same excitement as what you had. Glad to see that you've enjoyed the experience, the culture and most importantly the food! Look forward to see more videos in your future travel 😊
Awww thanks so much for the kind words!! We enjoyed your country so much and can't wait to be back many times ❤️ Thanks so much for supporting our little channel 🙏🏼
Between train & bus from KL to Penang, I'll choose train! more comfortable, got toilet & cafe. If by bus its ok if its out of holiday season, if travelling nearing/during the holiday season you probably will stuck in Traffic jam for a long hours, no toilet in the bus, even the rest area are jam packed and always a long line in front of toilet, its different if driving own cars, you can make a stop anytime you want. Muslim will celebrate Hari Raya in 22 April & the highway usually get busier a week before and after because people are going back to their hometown. Its good to check for National & state Public holiday, so that you can plan your travel and budget, cause normally lots of shop closed, the ticket & hotel price rate will get higher.
gonna be honest i watch alot of vids on youtube for traveling and your guys vids and your personalities are the best amazing information i am now going to KL thanks for all the help , cant wait for 1 milllion subz going to be a fast climb with this top notch content
KL!? SO FUN!!! It's one of our favorite cities!!!! Thanks so much for the kind words! We sure hope you're right 😉 Eat all the yummy foods for us ok? :)

7:11 doa or prayer for safe journey. The big lake is Tasik Bukit Merah.. there is a huge waterpark near the lake.. The old ferry to penang used to be an attraction but now they used a new boat just like to Langkawi.
Since now is ramadan, where all muslim are fasting during daylight, all malay restaurant all close at morning, you can find breakfest n lunch at chinese restaurant, but the best part is it is food heaven which we call "bazar ramadan" where there are tons of food stall happen all around malaysia. Normally it start at 4pm-break fast around 7:30pm❤❤
11:47 A cat! Fun fact: One of the Major cities of Malaysia on Borneo island is called Kuching, which I'm told literally means CAT in Malay language. They have cat monuments to prove it. 😺
Place you guys must go in Sabah especially at Kota Kinabalu city. 1) Gaya street night market (Friday and Saturday only) 2) Tanjung Aru Beach (best sunset) 3) Teluk Likas (food with park nearby at the beach) 4) KK Waterfront 5) Filipina Market 6) University Malaysia Sabah (you can rent bicycle, motorbike and other to go around UMS) 7) Mari Mari Cultural Village (place to learn more about multiculture ethnic at Sabah) If you guys go to Kundasang, im suggest to go: 1) Desa Cattel (you need to book online) 2) Sosodikan Hill (need to hike a bit but trust me, its worth it) 3) Hoga Cafe (go at night will be nice) 4) Kundasang War Memorial 5) Kinabalu Park (jungle tracking) 6) Sinalau Bakas Himbaan Bongol (the best smoked pork) 7) Maragang hill (if you have time) Sorry for my english its not perfect 🤣🤣 Enjoy your travel 😘

Your travel vlogs are the best and the style of your trips! Do you have any recommendations of which area of George Town to stay in? Thank you and have a nice day!
Thank you! Ride share (Grab) is pretty cheap in George Town, so being a bit outside the action isn't a major downside if you find somewhere you like. Otherwise, the areas around Armenian Street, Little India, Pinang Peranakan mansion are central to most things 😉
I normally watch the vlogs about using the Business Class train to Penang, it seems like you both have experience it first than I do. I've never ridden the new ferry to Georgetown since I find it to be quite inconvenient; instead, I prefer travelled across the sea by a car or on a bus. I'd want to give it a shot one day. I'm happy you two are enjoying yourself. I hope you have a great time while visiting Penang.
The small ferry is just temporary. New ferries are being constructed in Vietnam. The old ferries were retired such a pity. They can handle vehicles and passengers.
@@keangwooichoo6138 - Yep, I've already noticed a new ferry in the TikTok app, but it appears like they're not quite as large as the old one. I continue to think that the outdated model makes me think of Penang. We will need some time to adjust to the new ferry as a Penang icon, though.
