This is a very good video. I also like that you showed an even cheaper option than using superstrut. I recommend from experience that you trim down those cross members. At least to the width of your wheel fenders. They have very sharp corners. To this point even with very good insurance, it was not fun getting stitches from brushing up against them while not thinking-LOL Very informative vid!

I have the same trailer , so this is perfect .
I made an updated video to this a few weeks ago changing out the angle iron to angle steel… it’s a lot more sturdy now
@@HazLife Definitely will check it out , Have ypu had any issues with the pvc cracking ? That was my only concern . I plan on making 2 rod tubes 1 on each side . One last ? Does that trailer do well on long distance? I just got my trailer last week . Thanks

Let me ask you because I have a similar trailer that’s meant for two kayaks but Most of the times I just use my one kayak does your trailer ride weird having one kayak on the side whenever you don’t take both out ?
No the trailer riders normal. I ride with one kayak most of the time

Yea it’s possible but not recommend loading and unloading heavy kayaks are a lot easier with pvc
What are those brackets called, the ones you adjusted the height from.
Those brackets came on the trailer not sure what they are called

I bought it brand new it was 1250
Next one do away with the extra metal and just use rivnuts directly into the existing channels.

No I didn’t I’m changing up the design first then will add a rod locker
