I add the last 4cl from every bottle of Single Malt I finish to my infinity bottle.I've had this bottle on the go since January 2017 and it is truly a living history of my Whisky drinking over the last 7 years !!
That's the way to do it! Unfortunately because I've acquired so many bottles to review, there's not many going down that quickly! But eventually, it'll be a beauty of a thing! Cheers!
Love this topic! I have couple of infinity bottles on the go. Also, loving that shirt! And finally, a bourbon recommendation - Yellowstone 👌
Oooh, so I've had Yellowstone twice - once in the Whisky Me monthly, and again at a local bar. I always like it but for some reason am yet to buy a bottle. Find it maybe a touch hot without some really notable notes to balance it, but I do like it - what about it did you particularly enjoy?
I'll raise you one further. You can purchase a mini charred oak barrel online, and make the infinity barrel. I've had one going for several years (about 5 now). Sure, you lose some to the angels, but the whiskey can continue to age. If you can keep it in a spot with real temperature and humidity swings, it evolves over time. Some of the smoothest bourbon I've had is our "house" bourbon.
I've always been fascinated by these, and heard very mixed reviews. But that was mainly people trying to "finish" a whisk(e)y in them, rather than keeping one going. When I've got a bit more space for whiskey related things (I'm running out fast!) then I'll be sure to get one on the go. Cheers!
@@TheCrumbyBeard I've never tried to finish a whiskey, but I have put the lower cost/bottom shelf whiskey with a lower age statement in the barrel, knowing it will continue to mature. Whether or not it'll turn a $10 whiskey into a $100 one? Probably not. But, it's fun!
@@philipbritton750 Yeah the fun element really sells it for me to be honest! One day for sure!
