While bourbon and rye were my 1st love, but over the years scotch and more recently Irish whiskey has become my go To's, thanks to Lagavulin I fell in love with scotch with the Bunnahabhain becoming my favorite, cheers
Great to hear! I love having a variety, I have weeks and weeks at a time when I only really fancy one style and then all of a sudden it switches up. Then again I must admit that I'm rarely not in the mood for a bourbon at all. Cheers!
Both delicious, but IMO it's not even close, Bunnahabhain 12 hands down.

Two awesome drams. Both absolutely worth buying.
Not comparable for me as the Bunna has a strong stewed red fruit, sherry influence whilst I personally feel the Laddie is much more fresh, light, green fruit and neutral. Totally different styles.

both. bunna 12 for fall & winter, classic laddie for spring & summer. both are the best values today basically. altho for me its, classic laddie for spring, ardbeg 10 for summer, bunna 12 for fall, and kavalan sherry oak for winter! (assuming those are all good deals which they are by me)

Great video, I’ve really struggled to get into scotch, love bourbon! and am definitely partial to an Irish whiskey, perhaps the bunahabhain is the way in?
It depends a touch on what it is about Scotch you've not liked in the past. The Bunnahabain certainly has a lot of non-Scotch characteristics so it may not be a bad shout. It is certainly much sweeter than most so might help in that regard too! Cheers!
i would recommend as a gateway to try aberlour *abunadh* if you can get a bottle at a decent price. it may cost around $100 and imo its worth it. honestly in a blind i could totally see someone mistaking it for a very fruity bourbon almost, its kinda eerily close, atleast some batches. right now i have batch 64 in mind and thats how i feel.
since you drink irish whisky, id say redbreast 12 cs is another good in between

I only had one glass of the Bunna, so very little experience, but I'm much more of a Laddie guy, not too fond of the super sweet syrupy type like the Bunna. I also have a Macallan 12, and I prefer the Laddie, which is very fresh and pleasant. Both great though !
Good to know! I've heard mixed thoughts on the Macallan 12 - I was given a bottle of Macallan 15 for Christmas from my other-half, haven't started it yet though! Will be interesting to see!
@@TheCrumbyBeard I tend to agree with what I heard about the Macallan, it's good but definitelly a little overpriced
