I am not a whiskey drinker. But, while watching this video I said to my self, “Self. This is an interesting idea. I wonder if this would work with dark rum?” As I nodded agreeably, we both decided it would be worth the effort. Grab your ketchup and crunch away.
I just started an infinity bottle with the same bottle, only I didn’t change the bottle. I love yours and I love the idea of making the bottle my own. Thanks for the idea!
@@brainblaze6526 Simon, are you calling Wayne a legend or are you just tagging up my comment section with your middle name? Both are good, just curious.
OK first, Go a do a MIC CHECK! I'm surprised no one else has picked up the mantle to help you out... As for the rest, Jameson Caskmates is a good whiskey to try. It is Jameson is a nice dry whiskey and their cask mates is the result of the whiskey being aged in barrels used to age stout beer first. Very nice flavor with still a bit of smoke, very smooth. As for the bottle, harbor freight used to have a mini sandblaster the size of an airbrush, I have one but haven't looked for it in a catalog for a long time. you can use it to etch glass, all you need to do is use masking tape to protect the area you don't want to etch OR get really good at controlling the sandblaster and you can make some incredible designs. Also really good for polishing metals like jewelry or paint removal from wood and stone or metal.
Great video, very nice leather work and i love how you made. Basil Hayden for bourbon recommendation. Best in the world. Sweet nectar of the gods it is. Cheers
entertaining idea. decorating the bottle is not fun for me, but this video prompted me to make a small barrel for the same purpose. it will be necessary to search for information on how to make the barrel leakproof and what kind of glue is harmless to health if it does not work out to fit the bars tightly. And bottoms. And spigot 🙂
That sounds like an excellent project! Look into brewers pitch. I saw it while trying to figure out my wooden tankard project. Let me know what you come up with! That is definitely a oroject I would love to do.
You could think outside the box and use a bladder inside the barrel like a think plastic bag or build the wood barrel around a plastic form of some kind. Same look and your little secret!
Nice video. For US whiskies I like the Jack Daniel's Single Barrel Select Cask Strength coming in at 64.5%, whereas for Scotch I find the Glenmorangie Nectar D'Ór 12yr very approachable, as a more fruity highland whisky, especially compared to some more specialty bottles currently and previously in my collection. Not sure about the infinity bottle as a concept though, I have to admit. I don't put ice into whisky, so the thought of mixing some in a bottle kinda freaks me out :D although, creating a personal blend would be interesting...
Thanks for the recommendations! I will definitely give those bottles a try. I feel you on the no ice/trepidation on mixing them. My understanding is that this first started by someone putting together the small amounts they had in a bottle that didn't quite make for a full glass. I imagine, to do a good job, it forces you to really contemplate theflavor profiles of what you add and see if they compliment what you have so far. It's kind of a fun way to appreciate what your drinking. At least, I am enjoying it😂
When I was a daily drinker, it was Jack Daniels and to treat myself it was Chivas Regal. A couple shots over two ice cubes. In my opinion, the only way to enjoy good whiskey. Anything more or less is just a waste and really if you have to add anything more than ice you might as well buy the cheap crap.
My wife is partial to Laphroaig and other peaty scotchs. She pointed out that you might need two of these bottles as the peaty flavor might take over.

I will look for it my next trip to the store! Thanks for the recommendation and for watching! 😁👍
Living in Kentucky i get to drink a lot of great bourbons. Basil is my go to, every day, bourbon. Makes me happy and warms my belly.
Definitely gonna give this a try with my own blend, but I have to make my own bottle!
From scratch? I really want to try glass blowing soon.
Skill Tree Nope, gonna turn it.
Devils River Whiskey makes a good Bourbon that would add a nice flavor to that mix.
I will definitely give it a look!
I'm a sucker for Wild Turkey 101
You know, I haven't tried it yet! I will add it to my shopping list for my next liquor purchase. Thanks for the recommendation!

How is Willett Reserve? Never had it and I like to try new stuff.
I liked it. Not my favorite but good. I like my whiskey a bit more smooth but the after taste is really nice
@@SkillTree I'll have to pick some up next time I'm at total wine.
You should sell custom infinity bottles!
I'm a fan of Drambuie.
Everyone else talking about the whiskey, I wanna know where that awesome ouroboros ring came from?

Mellow Corn will provide you with something different, and it won't break the bank.
That's if you like corn whiskey anyways.
Ooooh, I will give it a shot! Then I will add it to the mix😉.... that's right. It was a punn. Thanks for watching!
