I graduated from graphic design/new media but I havnt been able to get a job due to being in a small town but I made a fivver account to help. I love being creative and I should make a channel for graphic design.... Then I found a love of crochet as well and made a channel around it instead. I love two things but can only focus on one because of my normal job of cashiering

Awesome the best thing is you started!! And remember you have plenty of time to grow so whatever you do just make each video about 1 step at a time. Dont try to fit to much info and also how it applies to your life! Dont give up keep up the great work!! Make 2019 our year!💯
But also don't forget: Most people starting UA-cam do not really have a specific niche right at the beginning of their channel. Its the most important to just produce something, get over the initial fear and post. In my opinion your primary goal of starting UA-cam shouldn't be to obtain money either. If you are only in for it because of the cash, then your audience will probably notice you are not being genuine. And that kills your channel before it can even "take off".
After 6 months, I finally figured out my niche. And that’s doing what I enjoy and being myself in sharing what I do through thrifting and character illustration while sharing tips and life stories about me. Since I started doing this, I’m finding more supporters/subscribers of all ages trickling in. I believe it’s because they can relate to me and find me entertaining rather than before it was more of like showing off, which wasn’t what I was trying to do. Small audience is definitely working and I’m Seeing they are true supporters.

My intentions were reviews of products anywhere from high end bags to a vacuum . Then started vlogging because I travel as a hobby. I talk about self love a lot... I don't know. My problem is I'm not getting views. Not sure what to do, but have been consistently posting for over 1 year now. I'm not looking for any over night success, but thought my viewership would be better by now. I have been self employed my entire adult life and I can honestly say this is much harder than when I started my very own businesses from the ground up.

My niche is budgetfriendly crueltyfree and vegan (99%) makeup reviewing and showing looks. Mostly very affordable (unless it was a gift or won in a giveaway). I am thinking of also including videos like my crueltyfree and vegan favourites on a budget. I also have a Instagram that is doing well, a Twitch livestream channel, a Twitter to engage some more and a Facebook to possibly attract local customers for makeup.
Family Travel > New Zealand > Caravan. The people who would watch would probably be parents with kids from 0>15 yrs who like exploring. New Zealanders who like to know more about their own country, and possibly people who are planning to come to NZ with kids and want to know about some fun outdoorsy things to do
My "niche" is I just don't care anymore......is that a bad thing??? I made two videos I posted to UA-cam simply because I wanted too! I simply don't care about money, never had that to begin with!! And I certainly don't care if I add content or not....I figure I will add more when I get around to it, and feel like it!! After all it isn't like I am going to "change the world" and it isn't like anybody actually "listens to me" or most of the time even takes me seriously, more so when I am being straight up DEAD SERIOUS to start with!! So I simply don't care what my "brand is" or what my channel is "about"!!! And honestly there are way to many "how to" content providers now anyhow to compete with!! And then there are the stupid cat videos and people that explain their own agenda of what "real life" is and should be without considering that NOT EVERYBODY has the same experiences, income or life!! In fact some folks like me follow the more "brown coat" logic of "just keep flying" and we just want to come home at the end of the day and drink a cold beer and relax!! To me videos SHOULD be entertaining, sure, but they should be realistic in a way that teaches you as well!! Like don't tell me I can "budget build a car" that costs $500,000 in "budget" to make the whole "budget" a total dumpster fire!! And some "reviews" videos are totally stupid too!!

Our niche here is nerd/pop culture. We have a weekly podcast, now being video recorded, where we have different guests we interview about what their specialty is in the nerd circuit. (For example, this week we had on a comic artist). In addition to the podcast, we're also starting to do shorter review videos. We only have about 10 videos right now (only the past 3 episodes have been video) but we're hoping to gain our footing and grow more. True Sean. Before starting my channel I realized that there tons of videos offering the content that I wanted to offer. However, none of the popular channels have "One Math skill at a time" concept which is the core of my channel. My target audience range is super wide - from a upper primary to lower middle school student to anyone who wishes to brush their Math skills. With 385+ Subscribers in 40 days for 8 videos I hope to grow as much as possible to be able to serve my audience consistently. Cheers.

As a small youtuber, it has been a challenge to put out content that is out of my niche when i see some that has gained traction of viral videos of almost the same thing. What are your thoughts on niching early on? 100% agree that it's important to niche down (probably even further than most would think) and become the BIG fish in a small pond, but I've found that it's nice to be a bit more general at the beginning to figure out what type of niche you like working with or talking about before actually niching. My niche is Christian inspiration and my target audience is young men. My aim to is to equip my audience with encouragement to walk a wholehearted life with God!
I just started uploading. I’m a mom so I want to do motherhood and lifestyle. Don’t know if it’s too broad. Hopefully not.
Im having a hard time finding my niche. Im an environmental journalist / marine conservation. My organization collaborates with other conservation organizations bringing it to the public through video.
So youve directed me to this video from the livestream today and it helps but only partially cause I really stuck with my audience target.
My channel is all about a big to do list with things from all aspects of life from art to extreme sport to studying new things
So I can answer some of the question yet it is still hard to get the complete idea.
The value my content offers is insparation for those who dreamed and feared to do, crestivity,discovering new hobbies or intrests etc
Brands similiar? I couldnt find some one with the exact same theme but there are some who have connection

True Sean. Before starting my channel I realized that there tons of videos offering the content that I wanted to offer. However, none of the popular channels have "One Math skill at a time" concept which is the core of my channel. My target audience range is super wide - from a upper primary to lower middle school student to anyone who wishes to brush their Math skills. With 385+ Subscribers in 40 days for 8 videos I hope to grow as much as possible to be able to serve my audience consistently. Cheers.

Very informative. Right now I'm just starting out and I do UI/Ux - web design, front end development etc. I will have to narrow it down to any one specific topic.
Finding the niche seems like the hardest part of this puzzle
As a small youtuber, it has been a challenge to put out content that is out of my niche when i see some that has gained traction of viral videos of almost the same thing. But i have always remind myself to focus on what i wanted for my channel and keep my niche as specific as i can for the most part. Thanks for these! 👍🏻

What are your thoughts on niching early on? 100% agree that it's important to niche down (probably even further than most would think) and become the BIG fish in a small pond, but I've found that it's nice to be a bit more general at the beginning to figure out what type of niche you like working with or talking about before actually niching. Curious what your thoughts are on that.
