- Volodymyr Zelensky says 31,000 Ukrainian soldiers have been killed during Russia's full-scale invasion.
The Ukrainian president said he would not give the number of wounded as that would help Russian military planning.
Typically, Ukrainian officials do not make casualty figures public, and other estimates are much higher.
It comes after the defence minister said half of all Western aid for Ukraine has been delayed, costing lives and territory.

Okay. If Ukraine has 1 million army with 1 million active military and 31,000 killed. That leaves 969,000 troops. Even with another 60k wounded, that's 900k troops. So explain why Ukraine is desperately looking to recruit soldiers and the fired Zaluzhny wanted 500,000 mobilized? Explain why there are so many videos of recruitment officers dragging Ukrainians away to be mobilized for over 1+ years while we only saw something similar for the first week of Russian mobilization?

Wounded is way more than 60k. Many are too wounded to return back to service. Russia's military has way more, especially after recruiting tens of thousands of criminals in prison and doing a partial mobilization. They even are tricking foreign nationals into signing military contracts and sending them to the frontlines. Russia is also recruiting mercenaries from Asian and African countries.
You left out the ones that deserted and fled the country and no longer wish to continue fighting anymore, as well as the many thousands of POWs captured by Russia!

I don’t think so, Ukraine has been waking up to the reality of family members abducted in clubs/buses etc & sent to the front lines, and now as Russia is stomping forward at pace the morale of the military will be decreasing quickly. If Russia decides to mount an actual full on offensive operation I think it would likely be over pretty quickly. They will never get a deal like the golden ticket offered in 2022 in the Turkey negotiations. That was basically an England/Scotland autonomous devolved type deal, but now I doubt Russia will give any of the territory back.

By my logic and math, their numbers casualties are 250,000 dead at a conservative minimum, but probably 31,000 a month (750,000 total over the conflict) is far more likely to be an accurate number. Let us not forget many people fighting for Russia in the east are technically citizens of Ukraine. If you count them the number is probably 30,000 50,000 higher still.

Love and respect to Ukraine from India. I believe that it is a good strategy for our New Delhi to downsize the purchase of military equipments from Russia. This conflict have exposed the true reality of things manufactured in Russia. As far as I know, Ukraine does not have long range missiles, F16 jets in their frontline and the latest tech from the US but for two years, they have been bravely defending their country.
