  • I am waiting for my DJI NEO to arrive. Because the RC2 is compatible with the NEO after upgrading my RC2's firmware, I found my RC2 shows NEO and it is great! Then, I took my Mini 4 Pro + RC2 combo along with my AR/VR glass XREAL Air 2 Pro for a spin as the sunlight was very bright that my RC2 may not be able to display the image clearly.
I found that the XREAL Air 2 Pro is plug-and-play. Connecting the XREAL Air 2 Pro to RC2 with the supplied USB-C cable and turning on my Mini 4 Pro and RC2, very quickly the screens of the XREAL Air 2 Pro show the mirrored image from the RC2. Wearing the Air 2 Pro can be better than wearing my DJI Goggles 3 because I still can see the environment so that I could move around. With a goggles on your face, you have to move the goggles up and down to see the environment. YES, the Goggles 3 has cameras to see the environment; but the feeling is very different.
Mini 4 Pro + RC2 is very good in terms of signal penetration, because most of my other drones, DJI Mavic 3 Classic + DJI RC included, failed to pass the most critical place at the 1.5km turning point. Well, my Mavic 3 Cine + RC Pro can do that; however, the RC Pro is way too expensive and many people simply dislike it due to its asking price.
Anyway, I found that the XREAL Air 2 Pro is awesome. I do believe any good AR/VR glasses could do the same job. So, get one for yourself if you frequently fly your camera drones in strong sunlight. Note that the Air 2 Pro does not have a VRX, and, hence, it may not be used to fly other camera/FPV drones. On the other hand, one can mirror the phone screen to HDMI with a dongle+battery and there are good HDMI-to-USB-C adapters to do the job. Currently, I am investigating this approach and should be able to make a few videos for flying camera drones with goggles.
