@SubArcticAdventures I'm excited for you Derek! The Mini 4 Pro is a fantastic first choice. Such a capable yet beginner friendly drone! Plenty more tips coming 😁

Yap assigned button "cruise control updated" appears briefly -now your doing two movements. Now add a bitbof throttle, left stick slightly forward. Tap assigned cruise button. Very happy The Algorithm suggested your video. Far more useful information than the all videos showing the subject tracking over and over. Thanks for eating a fly for the team.
Great stuff! Glad you got some useful information from the video! I just want to make everyone's experience with the Mini 4 Pro as good as it can be. Haha hopefully the only fly I eat this summer 🤣 Thanks for watching and welcome to the community!
No problem, I've got a more in depth guide for Cruise control coming very soon too. I was in the South Australian Outback just near the Flinders Ranges
Hello sir, even if you set on wapioint ,you have to still eze contact with drone, right?Ak what s the difference betweeen mini 4 and mini 4 pro? mini 4 fly more more batteries
Yep, there isn't a mini 4. There is a Mini 4 Pro and a Mini 4K. The Mini 4k has a smaller camera sensor, no obstacle avoidance, and generally fewer features. The Mini 4 Pro has obstacle avoidance, a much better camera, and all the features you could want 😃
Hey! I didn't need to do anything with it because there's a button on the screen that changes from horizontal to vertical. On the right-hand side, just near the record button.
Thank you! The camera can be started and stopped recording during return to home, and you should also be able to control the gimball. If you're not able to do this, I'd suggest checking if you're due a firmware update 😁
Thanks for this great video. One question: how do you find the screen on the RC 2 vs a good phone screen. 700 nits doesn't see very good for sunny days. Can you still see it in full sun and is it really usable or should I get the drone with the RC N2?
Hi, thanks for the kind words! I find the screen to be bright enough to see even on a very sunny day. I would sacrifice a little brightness for the convenience of not having to put my phone in the controller anyway, but theres not much of a sacrifice on the RC2.
Great stuff! It's such a powerful feature on the Mini 4 Pro. It's useful for so much more than just getting to a location. Thanks for subscribing! It's great to have you around here 😁
Thank you! I get my backing tracks from Artlist. Here's a video where I explain the importance of sound in drone footage. Here's the link - ua-cam.com/video/ohbeU_fS1BU/v-deo.html I will check which tracks I used in this video and get back to you! 😁
Sir, I salute you a question : I own a mavic 2 pro It is very good in terms of quality and accuracy If I buy mini4 pro I find it has the same performance, quality, resolution and image sharpness as the Mavic 2 Pro?? Honest answer my friend please Commentaires Résultat Web avec des liens sitelink
To be perfectly honest with you. I don't feel like I can answer this question for you. Your best bet would be to find someone with a Mini 4 Pro that you could go out with and film together. Then you can compare footage to see if it's what you're looking for. The Mavic 2 Pro still delivers fantastic image quality. Although I can't compare to the Mini 4 Pro unfortunately. They will be similar as they can both record 4k but the difference in sensors, colour profile and image processing etc will have an effect on the resulting video footage. Without having both drones, I can't assist you more. Sorry about that 😔
@@JustinBainbridgeYT 400 feet wasn’t to fly over the mountains here. Then I read that in the US the Mini 4 Pro was allowed to go up to 1,640 feet. Now i don’t go straight up to that height, but it allows me to fly over the mountains (still less than a hundred feet above the trees). Couldn’t see much if I flew higher than that. I’m not a photographer. The gimbal just shows me where I’m going. I like to explore and find old hidden out buildings and barns. Just cool stuff.
I don't get my 4 pro until tomorrow, but regarding cruise control- I saw it mentioned somewhere that it's possible to add different inputs in succession. For example, if you are going forward with a slight rotation and are in cruise mode, I think you can retain that movement and actually add an altitude change by giving the additional stick input and then long pressing the cruise button. I'm curious if that is true, because it would simplify creating multiple simultaneous inputs by allowing you to add them one at a time- rather than having to have them all held perfectly at the first press of the button.
Hey! Yes, you can add inputs in succession. So you can do exactly what you explain. You just short press the button again after adding the next input, and the screen will say, "Cruise control updated." You can get some really nice complex moves using this with very little effort! Hope this helps 😁
How bright is the screen on the rc2? I'm more likely to purchase the RC N2 so I can use it with my mobile which I find has a better screen and access to updates easily
It's plenty bright enough, and a phone screen will get brighter, but I have no issues seeing it on a bright day so I'm happy. Plus you can just set your phone as a mobile hotspot if you still want the radio to be connected whilst flying out and about
The Mini 4 pro is still a seriously impressive drone and I wouldn't hesitate to get one. The Mini 5 is rumoured to be coming this summer, so if you won't need a drone until then, you could wait. But even when the 5 comes, the 4 is still a very good drone for its size the image quality is just crazy.
@marcgrillis9185 Hey! To get more information on using ND filters please check out my Mini 4 Pro Nd filter tutorial. It has all the info you will need 😃 here's the link- ua-cam.com/video/BOXK3QyR8dI/v-deo.html
Hi, sorry I missed this comment, yes obstacle avoidance will work as normal in Cruise control. so active in Normal and Cine. and it will be deactivated in Sport mode.
Hey, Obstacle avoidance will be deactivated in sports mode. The downward vision sensors for landing are not obstacle avoidance they are for maintaining safe flight and are always active. 😃
Amazing scenery and great footage! I subscribed to see more Videos made by you. Dji Mini 4 is an awesome little drone. I own one myself too and create cinematic Videos. Keep it up bro! 👌🏽 Fantastic
I alwas go with 128gb or 256gb I believe for most people that 128 is sufficient and I always prefer to have a couple of cards on rotation for each drone. Also the larger the card you get the higher the chance of it encountering some kind of corruption issues but this isn't much of a problem these days.
Hey mate! I was in the South Australian outback and it was fly season 😂 not the ideal place for filming a video but we keep going 😂 no worries haha, I have a full video on Cruise control with some more info on how to get the most out of it, if you want to learn more! 😃
It's on the screen in the first clip of the screen recording at 1:16 not sure why it disappeared after that. Maybe a glitch as this was filmed very soon after launch
@@JustinBainbridgeYT yep, that was my other thought. The flies seem way worse down the south. definitely a great place to fly a drone and see more. big landscapes
You'll be fine with the fly more combo. It's only if you're going to be doing alot of flying in one day that you'll really make use of the plus batteries. I do a lot of filming in a day and still struggle to depleat all 3 plus batteries.
Thank you so much for your help. I have osmo action 4 and want to bring the drone for cycling, hiking with me. So I won't shoot too much time.@@JustinBainbridgeYT
This guy knows what he is talking about just solely on the fact that he told us to trash the portrait mode hot key and change it to anything else. I'd rather have it be a second photo button than a portrait mode but cruise control sounds nice lmao.
I would definitely reccomend the Mini 4 Pro. It has so many features that make it a very beginner friendly drone. Plus you won't out grow it very quickly as it's a seriously capable machine. 😁
Hey! After making this video i discovered that subject scanning can only be turned on during flight. And unfortunately it defaults back to off everytime you turn the drone on. I will reach out to DJI and put this forward as an update suggestion!
Hey, It's not absolutely necesasry, but it will help you to get better video and pictures. Especially because a very high shutter speed can cause nasty oversharpening of the image on these small cameras 😃
Hey, you should be able to do this by installing the DJI fly app on your phone, you should then be able to connect this to the drone and download the videos straight to your phone 😁
Optimal will also use obstacle avoidance to plan a safe route back to the home point, so in that situation, it's whatever you feel most comfortable with 😃
Have they figured out a way to disable the No Fly Zones yet? Thats whats keeping me from buying one. Too many times my buddy was unable to launch his mini, when my non dji mini flew just fine. We were nowhere near a NFZ, but his controller had no cell connection and wouldnt allow him to launch.
How strange. Most restricted zones you can still fly if you just put your phone number in when you try and take off etc. Failing that there are some 3rd party apps which can get around this but you'll need to have the RCN2 controller so you can use your phone for the modded fly app
Hey! Yes there has been a recent update which removed subject scanning and added focus track, which does a very similar job, you can now toggle focus track on and off using the symbol on the left which looks like this [ o ] 😃
@JustinBainbridgeYT awesome! Hey quick question my SD card is in the Drone. And I want to review the footage on the remote control but it doesn't show on the remote it did yesterday but now it's gone
@@Crypto_Brandon The remote saves a cache video file from the drone and it should be there regardless. Just make sure when you click on the album that you select aircraft album at the top and you should be able to see them. Let me know if you run into problems 😃
Hey, I havent yet flown the Mini 4 Pro through the goggles. I will be trying it out at some point though so hopefully I can give you some more info in the future.

Subject scanning has been removed from the menu and we now have Focus Track. This does a very similar job to subject scanning and can be toggled on and off using the button on the left of the screen which looks like this [ o ]
You can still select a subject by drawing around them and this will bring up that tracking options as shown in the video. Otherwise you can toggle on focus track and then click the plus icon to select the subject you want to track.

Sir, I salute you a question : I own a mavic 2 pro It is very good in terms of quality and accuracy If I buy mini4 pro I find it has the same performance, quality, resolution and image sharpness as the Mavic 2 Pro?? Honest answer my friend please

Sorry about that 😔
There's a river close to my home and I was always afraid to fly across it until I got DJI Fresh. Now I fly over the river all the time.
Having Care Refresh definitely gives you more peace of mind! I'm glad you're now exploring more of the capabilities of your drone 😃

Plus you can just set your phone as a mobile hotspot if you still want the radio to be connected whilst flying out and about
Great video. Good info. Just curious, which microphone are you using when making this video? Thanks in advance. Stay safe!
Thank you! I'm using the DJI mic for all my audio in the videos 😃
Brill video! Would you still buy the Mini 4 today or wait for the Mini 5 to be released?
The Mini 4 pro is still a seriously impressive drone and I wouldn't hesitate to get one. The Mini 5 is rumoured to be coming this summer, so if you won't need a drone until then, you could wait. But even when the 5 comes, the 4 is still a very good drone for its size the image quality is just crazy.
Very helpful -cant wait to get my mini 4 pro! Thank you!!
Thank you! That's great I can't wait for you to get it either! It's such a great little drone 😁
Hi, I have the 3 DJI nd filters what would you put on for the exposure?
@marcgrillis9185 Hey! To get more information on using ND filters please check out my Mini 4 Pro Nd filter tutorial. It has all the info you will need 😃 here's the link-

Brillian video, im waiting for my 4 pro arriving after crashing my SE 😮😂😂
You're welcome! That's a nice upgrade! You're going to love the Mini 4 Pro. It's Fantastic 😃
Is there Obstacle avoidance in cruise control mode??
Hi, sorry I missed this comment, yes obstacle avoidance will work as normal in Cruise control. so active in Normal and Cine. and it will be deactivated in Sport mode.
Is thedji care available to the uk?
Yep, care refresh is available in the Uk
My new mini 4 it’s not turning off obstacles avoidance on s mode for hand landing. Help
Fantastic
That's awesome bro! Yeah the scenery is beautiful here. I'll have to take a look at some of your videos! Thanks for subscribing and supporting! ✊️
What size SD card you recommend
I alwas go with 128gb or 256gb I believe for most people that 128 is sufficient and I always prefer to have a couple of cards on rotation for each drone. Also the larger the card you get the higher the chance of it encountering some kind of corruption issues but this isn't much of a problem these days.
When using spotlight mode can you use 4k 50p or is it still only 30p available at 4k
You should be able to shoot at 4k50 yes 😃
Thank you for these info
Mate! Great video and super informative. I have to ask, where the H3ll are you with all those flys/mozzies? Crazy! Love the cruise control tip!
Hey mate! I was in the South Australian outback and it was fly season 😂 not the ideal place for filming a video but we keep going 😂 no worries haha, I have a full video on Cruise control with some more info on how to get the most out of it, if you want to learn more! 😃
I am curious...I notice your screen does not show the icon for waypoints
It's on the screen in the first clip of the screen recording at 1:16 not sure why it disappeared after that. Maybe a glitch as this was filmed very soon after launch
were you near alice springs in central australia when the flies were bad
Hey, I was in South Australia near the Flinders Ranges, similar outback environment but in the south not the north
@@JustinBainbridgeYT yep, that was my other thought. The flies seem way worse down the south. definitely a great place to fly a drone and see more. big landscapes
@vulpine321 Yeah, they come and go with the seasons. But when they are there, it's horrendous 😂 yeah it's a great place for it. So much open space!
Let's go flying 😀🇧🇷 awesome
ı have just bought fly more combo, should ı change it to the fly more combo plus?
Hi what model would you recommend for a beginner ta
I would definitely reccomend the Mini 4 Pro. It has so many features that make it a very beginner friendly drone. Plus you won't out grow it very quickly as it's a seriously capable machine. 😁
Came here for tips ended up laughing out loud at that flies situstion😂 OMG why is this so hilarious 😂😂😂
P.S. Thanks for the tips ☀️
hahaha yeah the flies were a pain in the ass at the time, but looking back it's quite funny to watch 😂
Great video, thanks 🙂
You're more than welcome! 😁
Thank you so much
You're welcome!
Does the mini 4 pro provide good quality still images in raw format? Thanks Kev from Yorkshire.
Hi Kev, Yep Raw images are still very good quality from the Mini 4 Pro! 😃
Thanks and good video.
You're welcome 😃
Some great tips Justin, many thanks for sharing the info - also you have a new subscriber
No problem! You're very welcome! Thanks for subscribing. It's great to have you here! 😁
Will the drone perform bypass while in cruise control?
I haven't tried putting the drone I this type of situation before. I'll test it out and report back! 😁
My "Subject Scanning" feature is grayed out. I've switched to N mode but still grayed out. Any ideas? Thanks for the great video!
Hey! After making this video i discovered that subject scanning can only be turned on during flight. And unfortunately it defaults back to off everytime you turn the drone on. I will reach out to DJI and put this forward as an update suggestion!
Came for DJI content. Left wanting an entire net mask for my head.
Hahaha I still have that net somewhere. Who knew fashion trends could start with a drone video 😅
Great video can’t wait to upgrade from my m3P to the m4P 🙌🏾 just subscribed
Thank you! Ah, that's exciting, when are you thinking of upgrading?
Is it absolutely necessary to buy the ND filter?
Hey, It's not absolutely necesasry, but it will help you to get better video and pictures. Especially because a very high shutter speed can cause nasty oversharpening of the image on these small cameras 😃
How do you transfer the photos/videos to your iPhone or iPad?
Hey, you should be able to do this by installing the DJI fly app on your phone, you should then be able to connect this to the drone and download the videos straight to your phone 😁
But if I am around a lot trees isn’t preset RTH better?
Optimal will also use obstacle avoidance to plan a safe route back to the home point, so in that situation, it's whatever you feel most comfortable with 😃
@ thank you! Hey random if you were flying around mountains and trying to get a good video would you try to do pov or circle in quick shots?
Have they figured out a way to disable the No Fly Zones yet? Thats whats keeping me from buying one. Too many times my buddy was unable to launch his mini, when my non dji mini flew just fine. We were nowhere near a NFZ, but his controller had no cell connection and wouldnt allow him to launch.
How strange. Most restricted zones you can still fly if you just put your phone number in when you try and take off etc. Failing that there are some 3rd party apps which can get around this but you'll need to have the RCN2 controller so you can use your phone for the modded fly app
My remote doesn't have subject scanning they must have updated it and took it off please thank you
How far is flight test .. in miles
In a FCC region a couple of miles is achievable with good line of sight
Can you shoot raw on mini 4 pro if you fly with motion controller? I see that goggles do not give such an option and even jpeg are very small
Hey, I havent yet flown the Mini 4 Pro through the goggles. I will be trying it out at some point though so hopefully I can give you some more info in the future.
Salute you on this video sir 🫡 keep up the good content
👍
Thank you for your kind words! Plenty more coming up! 😁
Nice presentation! You deserve more subscribers, so I did...
Thanks!! Haha legend! Glad to have you around!
can it do flips?
Nope, this is a cinematic stabilised drone. For flips you need an FPV drone 😃
Are you in Australia ? They seem to have a lot of flies there.
At the time of the video yep I was in the Australian outback. Lots and lots of flies out there haha
