I need the best, cheapest projector I can use on my murals. i need it to be able to project something on a wall at night to about 20ft high. But I don't need too much quality since I'll be only using this to stencil my outlines onto the wall of the objects. Would this GROVIEW Projector work fine for this? Or would anyone recommend a little bit better version? I'm looking to not go over $200 if I can. Please anyone if you have a good answer for this let me know ASAP....Thank you all ahead of time for your time.
Why SAME T.P.? 🤷
These comparison reviews set the benchmark! And there's nothing wrong with a cheap projector as long as you know what you're getting, and there's immense value in reviews that show you how to get the best cheap version of something.
you could get a used benq w1070 for the same price afaik
is it better to buy a used projector which is around 100 dollars or above or buy a new one with that price?
@@sulimankhan8322 used of course. make sure the projector doesn’t have too many hours though
@@sulimankhan8322really depends on how often you plan on using it
this is likely the best review video ive ever seen. you are incredible at this. Here's what I liked: thorough yet efficient info deliver, data-driven, smart comparisons (1v1 knockout, side-by-side), decisive opinion at the end on what to get. The best.
Thanks!
There are less than a handful of review/testing channels on UA-cam that I think are great. Yours is one of them. Exceptional work.
Thanks!
I can't even begin to explain how insanely helpful this video was, my goodness! Thank you! Super thorough, I love that we got to see real numbers and all of the comparisons -- there's no way I could've figured all of this out with just reading half-proper english descriptions on the Amazon postings. Thank you so much man! 🙏 Doing god's work right here lol
The level of detail in your reviews is mind blowing 🤯 xxx
Holy heck this is an absolute triumph of a video! Incredible detail, great pace, genuinely highly useful... I wish more hardware was tested in this format, it'd make buying-decisions so easy!
This is the best review video I’ve ever watched on UA-cam. Exceptional work. Thank you so much. Incredibly thorough
THANK YOU. This is VERY useful to me as were your past videos. Especially during these times, best bang for your buck means a lot
Bought the Happrun based upon your previous recommendation for Halloween this year. Worked brilliantly. The only problem was the file name label on each replay. However, a little video editing in Davinci Resolve allowed me to add all the files I wanted together into about a 10 minute total and then I just copied and pasted the whole thing together until the video was over an hour long. I can live with a 5 second label once every hour or so. Thanks for all of your hard work.
You're in a class of your own. Thank you for providing these great reviews.
It brings me joy that someone would think to make this video, in such an unbiased, comprehensive way!
Good job man 🤙
This is one of the most useful videos on UA-cam. I have been looking forward to this update since 2022.
This was one of the best video I have seen about projectors… thank you
Its great that you included the on-screen menu when playing files since a cheap projector is exactly what someone who would play decorations would look for!
I love your videos!!! Although I haven't bought any projector myself but your videos are very informative and fair. More power to you!
THANK YOU for updating this
As always, an extensive and accurate review. I bought the Happrun near the start of the year and it was perfect for couch gaming with friends. Mine came with a couple of very noticeable marks on the image, for which I had to open it up and clean a few large bits of dust and fibers off the screen with a swab and camera air blower. After that though I havent had a single issue.
Bro you are an absolute legend, I am trying to buy a budget projector and the amount of options on amazon makes it overwhelming, you broke it all down so perfectly. What a goat, thank you man
Thanks for this great upgrade, really nice Groview JQ818C, certainly tempting.
OMFG THIS IS THE CONTENT I WAS LOOKING FOR THANK YOU SOM FREAKING MUCH!!!!!!
Serious work, measuring everything, and honest opinion
We seriously don't have this type of content enough, already anxious for the 2024 video!!!
Incredible video! I wasn't even planning on buying a projector, but I bought the Happrun based on this video and it's fantastic! Thanks :)
You made me buy the Happrun last year and I don't regret my choice at all. Thanks for providing such a high-quality comparison video once again!
Is the fan loud?
@@michal2135 The fan can definitely be heard at moments when there's no sound in the movie but most of the time it's not bothering. My only issue with the projector is that permanent grains got into the image but they are very small and hard to notice. It's also important to say that I've used the projector for more than 200 hours now so it is as good as it gets for a cheap projector.
Amazing work man, can't believe you did all this without accepting sponers, thats just beyond amazing!
Thanks! This video is an amazing service for anyone looking to buy a projector. Thank you so much!
Wow, what a quality comparison video. You’re the Project Farm of tech.
Amazing wow! I couldn’t have asked for a better video!!
Yaaay a new projector comparison video my absolute favorite 💙
By far the best review video of any class on UA-cam… only video worth watching A+++
The thought put into this is truly exceptional and made me completely rethink my future purchase! Ty for the in depth analysis of all these!
Very, very good job! Enough background tightly, lots of facts quickly and transparently (how measured / "see yourself").
Actually felt like commenting cause this man put in the work. Great Job!
So glad you recommended the Groview last year. I got it for $85 on sale. Now it’s on sale for $140.
I just want to thank you for your review and I ended up buying my first projector 📽️ because of you, I bought the GROWVIEW!. Waiting for Amazon to deliver it by 15:00 pst!
I wish you and yours the best holiday season ever!!!😊🎉❤
EXCELLENT JOB. Was just about to ask a question about picture adjustments on a particular projector, and you started answering it. Great Job Buddy. Althought I use high end projectors, I am curious about these products, and never knew about the inside built till today. Wow. I see people make these themselves at home. Thanks. - Toronto, Canada.
Thanks for another great video! Used your link to buy the Hapron earlier this year as a “why not?” purchase. It’s been very impressive. I have it in my workout room and use it to watch UA-cam videos on my stationary bike.
Wowza - incredibly impressive attention to detail - with hands-on experience and accurate measurements - bravo, sir!
Literally was looking to get a projector and you post this today 🙏🙏🙏
Thank you for your service!
It is truly amazing what you can get for the money. Thank you for your detailed testing!
Just ordered a 818C with a $50 off coupon on Amazon, thank you so much for doing all the work for us. You're awesome
so, how do you like it?
Is it good?
@@StopWars420 for the price it's amazing. I love it and for me it really solved the problem of not having a spot to put a physical tv
I bought the happrun 5 days ago after watching all of your projectors videos.
I was ready to return it when I saw this video release, but never mind.
I'm happy with the happrun for my bedroom projection 👍
although getting it to focus properly is not an easy task.
WOW!! Amazing review! 100% locked in the projector I'm going to buy 🙏 Very detailed and just enough information to not be too overwhelmed. Thank you and excited for the 2024 review 😎😎
Thanks for this video man. this is exactly what I was looking for shopping for budget projecters. Input latency and contrast is very important for me so thanks again 👍.
Thank you for such a in depth review of all these.
Thanks, appreciate the time AND HONESTY, of a great review!!
top review 🎉 i have Groview 818c and decided to buy aurora pro. You re the best!
Yo, thx for the update! We were having a dialogue a few weeks ago and I mentioned how a vid like this would be helpful.
The 30 second intro was so good I paused at 30seconds, liked and subscribed.
Great video, thanks for doing all the hard work.
Thanks to your video I just bought a Groview, the 15000 lux version! Without your very imformative video, I would probably have gotten myself a piece of rubish, now I get the best bang for my buck! Thnx again, keep up the good work! 🖖🏻
Thanks for this round up! my wife had a rando one on her xmas list, was able to snag that recomended groview one for 89 bucks on black friday.
Very detailed video. Thanks a lot. This certainly helps to decide on quality vs cost along with all the other parameters.
I have the groveview JQ 818c. Glad it's still on top. Thank you. I swear, back in May, I saw the 818C for $70 on Amazon. I hesitated for a couple days, and got mine for $90.
What an excellent video at explaining all of this man. I used your link and hit you with a sub too. This video saved me a headache and a bad decision lol. Thank you for using your own money to buy all of that jazz and for also doing analytical comparisons like a pro.
Thanks SO much for doing this for us: this is a real gift.
Very well done. Enjoyed your work and dedication.
I’ve been waiting for this video!!
Love these videos, watched it last year as well.
Very nice video, well researched. Thank you for your time!
Great video! Thanks for the help!
This was a great one, much better comparisson method instead of groups 🔥🔥🔥
I bought Happrun H1 thanks to your first video recommendation and ohhhhh boy I am extremely happy with it! There is no lag at all when I play PS5. Brightness is not that bad, it works really good with some lights on.
Thank you for the reviews! I went ahead and ordered the Vamvo for £80, which arrived today...it's the first projector I've owned and it really blew me away, so impressed and more than enough for my needs.
Where did you order it from? I can’t find it in the uk? :/
@@newmanm185 i ordered it on amazon on the 18th; went back the next day to get another for a christmas present and it had sold out
@@newmanm185 for info, it's back on amazon but there's one left and, for me at least, selling for £140
@@newmanm185 Same. It was available on amazon UK with voucher when this vid went live but has since changed to Currently unavailable. I should have got one when they were in stock.
Is it good for movies and gaming?
Nice video. Thanks for your time.
Thank you for this excellent video !
Thank you so much for doing all that hard work just for us, i really needed to know what to buy lol❤
Ordered the Happrun h1 literally yesterday based on your last year's video. Happy though, that it is still in the top of the chart)
Thanks for making those outstanding reviews!
Hey, how are you liking the projector so far? I'm thinking of getting it but I see quite a few of the reviews on amazon talk about the grain burn-ins which is concerning me
Thorough comparison. Thank you
Best comparison video I’ve ever watched!!!
Thank you very much for this amazing job❤
This video was amazing thank you so much
i love you. this is exactly what i was looking for, thanks :)
Thank you very much,
I started my adventure with the cheapest Happrun H1 which is sold in Europe as Topvision and it is actually a very good choice, I am surprised by its quality and lack of lag in games. It is more than I expected.
I've been hunting for a mini projector and this was a very detailed/informative review across the market. Very much appreciated!
ahhhmazingggg... wish i could give you a hug in person ! amazing work .keep it up
I got my Happrun native 1080last year. I'm happy
Great video. Thanks 😊
What a great video, thanks 👍🎉
Thanks for the info!
Always appreciate the detail you go into in your comparisons, especially regarding the pop-up menus for Halloween decorations. These cheap projectors have come a long way in the last few years. If you ever do an updated $100-$200 comparison, I’d be curious where the WiMiUS K1 stacks up. It’s usually around $130 after coupon, and has potential for making a larger screen size (up to 500”).
There's no way in hell that a 480 ANSI Lumen projector will make a 500" screen remotely watchable, it's gonna be so dim even with a perfectly sealed dark room, and you gonna need a really big room on top of that, since according to the amazon listing the projector is going to have to be 10 meters away from the screen for that size, this is all just marketing bullshit, especially with these cheap models. I just recently bought an LG HF60LS for 560€ and it has 1400 ANSI Lumen and it recommends a 120" screen for the best experience, which is what I have.
I used to use a 100€ projector before and had to have my room VERY dark to be able to see on this 120" screen, and it wasn't a very good experience was barely able to see dark scenes in movies, now I can have lights on and I can see perfectly. Also cheap LCD projectors like the one you mentioned, and the one I had, are going to burn up at some point, it happened to mine after little over a year of almost daily use.
Honestly, try investing more money in a projector, something with DLP instead of LCD, that is impossible to burn up and is going to last you waaaay longer, and something with at least 1000 ANSI lumen, also a 120" screen is plenty big. But don't get me wrong if you plan to use a screen that is closer to the size of a big TV then yeah, $100 projector like the ones in the video are going to be pretty good, just don't expect them to last too long.
@@theoldtechhandheldtinkerer4092 your handle name fits you well. Honestly the WiMiUS is pretty comparable in brightness to a NEC 3500 ansi lumen LCD projector I have when I project onto my garage. The 500” isn’t far off, it’s the only cheap LED projector I own that actually focuses at that size when I project onto the entire house (which is around 40 ft). I own about 20-25 different protectors ranging from Sharp, NEC, Epson, Sanyo, Sony, viewsonic, 3M, optoma, to various cheap chinese models (yaber, mooka, WiMiUS, unknowns), so I have some experience…
im a newie i want to find a outdoor projector with roku, i don't have fire stick, i have on my tv roku i use a remote for the tv Can i use my remote or i have to get a roku stick
The best review 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 thank you!
THANKS big time for this review
It helped me a lot, thanks!
Hi thank you for your very details video !
Amazing Effort Man 😍😍
I'm impressed, I made my decision, thanks a lot
dude THANK YOU SO MUCH
Have the Happrun and it's been fantastic.
Just found the Groview JQ818C for $70, so I'm picking that up and will use them in different rooms.
Thanks for the great review!
Where did you find it for $70?
Can you tell me where you found it
Amazon Japan. Must have been a refurb or return because there was a small scratch on the lens that is slightly visible when using. :(
Appreciate the effort
You are genuinely doing incredible work, so fucking helpful
i’m going to try the groview one! i’ve had a used projector for a year but i think it’s time to upgrade
Great video and informational reviews, Thank you for all the work and time put into this video... I just recently bought the staratlas 4k 12000 lum and don't expect it to live up to it's advertised specs but for a sub 60.00 unit.. it will do all I need it to do.. :) thanks again for all your work and time making this video.. you earned my sub and like...
Thank you!!!❤❤❤
You are the only youtube reviewer I trust. WAY better than the other paid spokesman who claim to be reviewers.
When will we see the 100-200$ range projector reviews?
Yes the Groview 818C is the best, but there is a big con with it, they pushed the brightness but used the same fans as older models, which in turn causes screen burn after a few months. It needs faster fans. I know all cheap projectors cause this eventually, but is best to just go straight to laser instead so you never get screen burn. These are cheap but YMMV.
Ur doing gods work my friend
Awesome Video!!!! Love the scientific approach you took methodically comparing all of the key features of the projectors. I am looking to purchase the JQ818C. My only concern is the keystone correction, which a reviewer stated wasn't very good, causing the image to be out of focus on the top or bottom. Any recommendations on a projector sub $200 that has similar brightness /contrast and solid keystone correction. (I am projecting slightly upwards to a screen on the back of my house.)
Project farm or Vacuum war of projector testing. 😜 Good job. 👍
Nice job!
