Thank you. I’m going to keep trying budget projectors until I feel one can keep up with it. Honestly, I was really impressed with how good this one did.
My Optima 180hd DLP finally kicked the bucket after 10 years. I found this video the other day and ordered this projector off Amazon. It was $76 free shipping. I received it today and all I can say is that it is pretty unbelievable for the price. I'm still in shock at how good it is.
Projectors have advanced by leaps and bounds the past 10 years. The HD180 would be considered on the dim side with so so contrast compared to entry level name brand.
I got one of these for $42. Pretty amazing for the price!

Thank you for your honest opinion. I was trying to buy it here in my country (Mexico) but it was around $200 dlls. So I found it in Amazon UK for only $100 and ordered it right away.
I just got this on Amazon for $53 after tax. First impression was pretty great considering my last projector was about 20 years ago, BoxLight 720p 800 Lumens for $1800 with $400 replacement lamp cost... The native 1080p on this cheap projector is a huge plus, and I popped on an old Chromecast and this becomes a super portable, one cable projector for outdoor or bonus room use. The lens adjustments really limit where you can use this most effectively since it can't really focus the entire screen if using the very limited keystone adjustment. And the screen size is controlled by the projector distance. Ideally this needs to be mounted where it's directly centered with no keystone adjustment required, which can be problematic in many rooms where you don't need or want the largest size screen. On the plus side, even at 200" diagonal, it looked decent enough. Did not have the obvious "screen door effect" my old projector had. So for $53, this is absolutely a great purchase! It will really be fun for rear projection Halloween effects!
Thanks for the very helpful review! An extreme budget outdoor movie projector is exactly what my family and I have looking for and you are the second guy on UA-cam to strong recommend it. Also, love the down to earth yet entertaining monologue about the product. Great job!
Got this particular projector for $66 recently. I agree with you with this projector being a great starter projector. I currently have mine set up in my living room making a 117 inch picture from 13 feet away. I like it way more than my 70 inch, which I have since relegated to my bedroom. I just have to try out gaming on it, then I'll figure out what 4K projector I wanna upgrade to...
For the price, I haven’t found much better. Obviously if you spend $500 or more and go with a brand like Xgimi, the difference would be night and day. But for under $100, it’s a great little projector.
I was always curious on why someone would want a projector over a OLED tv, since picture quality on 70-80-90" TV's have gotten so good. A $100 decent quality picture you can throw up in a large room would be awesome tho.
You've got a good point. A lot of larger TVs are becoming more accessible. The main reason I see people still wanting projectors are when they use acoustically transparent screens. By doing that you can have much larger speakers. Which allows for much better placement and sound. With a TV, your limited to the space around it.
While a 70-75" TV is priced well, anything above that costs as much as a comparable 4k Ultra Short Throw projector which can be watched in most daylight situation and easily provides a 120" screen, and sits inches from the wall, completely out of the way of viewers.
doesn't OLED cost significantly more?? at least in my country it costs much more than 4k projectors...almost twice the price for more than half the screen size
Easy...btw, I am addressing this question for people that have money. The way the question was asked, only people with money would even ask. Like I said....Easy. Cos you will spend $7,000-$15,000 on a 90"-95" tv, while a $3000 projector will do a 120" picture at 4K that'll blow everyone away. You know how much difference 90" to 120" is? Projector is home theater Deputy, tv is living room city.
I got one too. Picture quality was really, surprisingly good. But what gets me is the 0% offset and 15° keystone doesn’t allow the projector to have a square/sharp image when the projector is at the bottom of the image or ceiling mounted. Really wants to be square with the center of the image which limits placement options. Didn’t see any reviews that mention this. So if you’re planning on tabletop or ceiling mount and want a square image, this projector isn’t for you.
So my I wanna use this for outside manly night time for kiddos.. never had a projector. Saw this gave me hope not spending Arm and leg. So how does it work exactly. I know it's preference, but any recommendations for screen.. and can I use my w-king t9 Bluetooth speakers for the sound.. and I guess to watch movies. I can use a phone or tablet to connect in the hdmi and use an adapter of some sort. Sorry, so many questions. I appreciate any info. Thanx in advance Mike
Exactly. Just ordered one today after spending an hour trying to figure out how and where to mount a 32 inch TV in trailer. Ceiling mount? Wall mount? How to secure the TV while driving? Power and cable runs? BAH!! All solved with projector. Stay gold.
I got his on3 a year ago and i couldn't be happier for the image quality i got. The only but, for me, was the red colors are a bit weak, with red being my favourite colour. lol xD But really worth the 70 dollars i paid.

I completely get that. And honestly I've been the same way. But last year when everything went crazy in price I noticed that even used projectors were going for the price of new. It was really crazy. I was seeing 10-year-old benqw 1070s for going for $700 to $1,000. I bought one brand new a long time ago for $700.

@@Toid Obviously not... but the image quality. Let's say the king. the Thundeal TD98 (the best in the world for 300 dollars) or the Borsso BS30 pro (the best led in the world) for its price. Firstly not a lot of people can afford to spend £3,000/$3000 on a projector so would probably be happy with a cheap model. Personally it's a total waste of money. Spend the same on a TV and it will eat your projector for breakfast. Secondly you can't compare a highend projector to an entry level basic cheap projector .. this is just rediculous. Thirdly who uses a projector these days? Lol
These statements make me believe that you didn’t watch the video. You’re welcome to comment, but you should take in the facts that I say, and then respond to those believe it or not the home theater projector market is on the rise. Anyone building an actual home theater in their house typically uses as a projector. This is due to quite a few reasons, one being that you can get a much larger screen, to being you can hide all your speakers behind the screen so all you see is picture this makes for a significantly different experience than watching it on the television and three a lot of projectors include technology switches, 3-D, which a lot of televisions have left behind. And although 3-D on televisions was never necessarily the greatest minus a few companies, it was always very good on active projectors.

If any of thsoe companies want me to review one. I probably will. But I highly doubt they will beat out the JVC. But I would be very pleased if they did.
@@Toid Obviously not... but the image quality. Let's say the king. the Thundeal TD98 (the best in the world for 300 dollars) or the Borsso BS30 pro (the best led in the world) for its price. It would already satisfy 90% of people easily and more for that price. add a good vinyl or fiberglass screen. and it is having your own home theater at a low price but with quite impressive quality. I hope they sponsor you, friend, you make good reviews. :'c
or blitzwolf bw-v5 for around 100 bux!!!
Snot nose I'm
