Love your in-depth and unbiased reviews! I haven't seen the Wimius K9 in any of your reviews and was wondering where it stacks up considering it sits in the middle (at around $300) of this price range.
This question is not exactly related to this video but I would like to know which projector you would pick between the JMGO N1 Pro and the Nebula Mars 3? Both are around the same price on Amazon and according to your portable projector video, the mars beats out the N1 but does it beat out the N1 pro?
N1 Pro is an upgrade over the N1 because it gets the gimble and speakers of the N1 Ultra, but it's quite a bit bigger than the N1 and has more laser speckle. The big difference between the JMGO lineup and the Mars 3 is the built in battery though, if that's important to you then get the Mars 3, if not, get a JMGO.
@@TheHookUp thank you for the concise answer, I chose the JMGO N1 Pro based off your recommendation and my use case. It was on sale for under $1000. Hopefully, I will not notice the speckle much
I recently picked up a WiMiUS P64 $299 with a $120 off coupon. we have been pretty happy with it, I wonder how it would compare to these other budget projectors.
I got the P63, for the price it’s good but projector needs to be placed directly in the director of the screen otherwise the horizontal keystones causes the image to be slightly blurry.
Simply the price in the uk has made me narrow it down. What would you suggest the xgimi mogo pro 2 is also £410 and dangbei neo is £399 mars nebula is £550 will you be reviewing the nebula mars 3 air soon. I will be watching at night in all situations and the projector will stay in one position and will not need to re position much at all. I will have the projector I'm the corner of the room so will need a good horizontal key stone. Do you know the contrast levels of the mars air 3
Probably watched all your videos at least 100 times each and learned loads like taking the ansi lumens sdr colour and contrast level all into account so I thank you got my room all set up got a 100" pull down screen built a custom shelf in the corner of my room and connected up surround sound as well just need to commit to a decent projector. Budget is £400 -£550 and limited to what I can get my hands on in the uk
Hey! Thanks for this video-it was super helpful. 🙌🏼 I was considering the Xiaomi Mi Smart Projector 2, but thankfully I saw your review first. What do you think about the Samsung Freestyle? Unfortunately, most of the options you recommend aren’t available in Latam. 😪
THANK YOU. Oh my lord my optoma HD141x fell today and it's been insanely frustrating to find a replacement. I got it on FB marketplace a couple years ago for 150 and loved the quality. Currently debating on getting a new color wheel which shattered when it fell or getting a newer model for 300.
@TheHookUp excellent work , thank you so much for through analysis, Can you please guide between Growview JQ818C and Growview C58 which one is better ??
How do I know if I have a PJ40 Gen2 or Gen3? I suspect they sent me the wrong version because I cannot find these custom picture settings from Android.
I was wondering the same about my PJ40 that I ordered on 1/31. I installed the latest software update shortly after receiving it and after watching this video I checked during a movie and discovered the gamma settings. Wondering if all generations support the update and if all updated generations have the expanded picture settings?
@@joaodfbravo Yeah, I just don't see anything comparable on Amazon UK. In the US we have very decent screens for $100. Looks like you're stuck with the elastic fabric garbage.
Do you think native 4k single lcd led projectors will soon be as ubiquitous as 1080p projectors are? I would love to see some in a form factor a bit smaller than the Paris Rhone. A Nexigo PJ40 4k for example. Ideally between 200 and 300 dollars. It doesn't seem too far fetched considering decent 1080p's can be had for 60 to 100 dollars.
Eventually that will probably be the case. The LCD screen inside the Paris Rhone is massive, so they'll need to find a smaller 4K LCD if they want to make it smaller overall.
Thanks so much for these thorough videos and analysis. I see that you highly recommend the Nexigo PJ40 based on its price and relatively strong performance in different categories. I am still put off a bit by the modest lumens and the user reports of screen burnout after a few months (could be user error). I have been looking at some bulb projectors from some of the more classic brands - Acer, BenQ, Epson - and noticed that they are barely featured in your reviews. Is there any particular reason for that? Based on my cursory research and understanding, something like the Acer H6546Ki would seem like a good home theater for high brightness at a reasonable price. Would be interesting to see how it stacks up in your review.
Any break down of the difference between the g2 and gen 3 PJ40 other than the gamma? for some reason the PJ40 gen 3 doesn't ship to my location in canada

Do a video comparing the Haprun, Groview JQ818C and Nexigo Gen3. Is it worth the upgrade? What's the best bang for your buck? Great video, thank you!

Please do a review of toptro x7 or how it compares to the pj40 please!
Wow , this is amazing and I am sure made decision to what to go for. It'll be Paris Rhode. Thank you for this amazing video. I subscribed.
What kind of gain should I look for in my projector screen if I bought the Nexigo pj40? Especially for a back porch at night?
1.1 gain matte white.
Thanks
What would you recommend dangbei Neo , Mar 3 air or wemius K9 @The Hook Up
Probably the mars 3 air, but what made you narrow it down to those 3?
@@TheHookUp gonna go with the mars 3 nebula over dangbei neo and mogo pro 2 then i think
Hey! Thanks for this video-it was super helpful. 🙌🏼
I was considering the Xiaomi Mi Smart Projector 2, but thankfully I saw your review first.
Go to an hdmi input, press the three lines on the remote and select picture
@@TheHookUp got it, I was trying to do it in screen casting mode
Gamma just says "Bright". How do I adjust gamma + 11-point white balance to get a gamma of 1.8?
Bright will get you pretty close to 1.8, I'll see if I can post the 11-point settings this weekend.
I was wondering the same about my PJ40 that I ordered on 1/31. I installed the latest software update shortly after receiving it and after watching this video I checked during a movie and discovered the gamma settings. Wondering if all generations support the update and if all updated generations have the expanded picture settings?
Thanks a lot for the thorough reviews!
Can you recommend a projector screen to pair with the NexiGo PJ40 Gen3 for Europeans?
Matte white, 1.1 gain. I'm always blown away by how terrible Amazon UK is, maybe something like this on AE? s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DdZDKJB
@@TheHookUp That one has a 150€ shipping fee
You are the best on YT - across all categories
Where would the aurzen boom 3 slide in on this list in your opinion and have you reviewed it ?
I’m buying the dangbei neo project (on sale for $200) bc of this video! Thanks for the thorough review
Any break down of the difference between the g2 and gen 3 PJ40 other than the gamma? for some reason the PJ40 gen 3 doesn't ship to my location in canada
Gen3 uses warmer white LEDs for it's lightsource which allows it to calibrated to d65 white point more easily.
When you did your PJ40 Gen3 comparisons next to the Paris Rhone what Fan speed/Brightness did you have the PJ40 set to?

can we get an updated video
Hi! Now, as the price of Dangbei Neo has come down to below that of the Nexigo PJ40 3rd Gen, can I buy Dangbei Neo instead of Nexigo PJ40 3rd Gen. Awaiting your valuable advice, please.
I have one question, is the Nexigo PJ40 (Gen 3) better than the yaber ace k1 to watch movies?
Thank you
I would say it is definitely better, but I'm not sure it's a big enough difference to upgrade to the PJ40 if you already have an Ace K1.
Thank you for your awesome reviews. I watch your videos for over 2 year and I am very happy with it.
